The quality of the food 0/10 The serving of fries was laughable Chicken was more breaded than actual meat and the size of them couldn't feed a child. The state of the kitchen and ice cream areas were very concerning. Mainly because of employee safety and sanitation. Paper bags scattered along with old food on the floor. The sauce area for ice cream was appalling. Dried up ice cream and crusted sauce on top on serving containers. Trash over flowing. Soda tower was sticky with caked on soda. Training cook that was handling food without gloves. The young woman I worked with at the counter is the only star I could give this place. I don't appreciate him doing three other sandwiches before he rang me up after my food was ready. I also really didn't appreciate them getting cheap with the vegetables, counting out about 5 pieces and the rowing back one or two. Oh, except for the lettuce, which comprised over half of the vegetables. They barely gave me any chicken either. By the end, the bowl was still barely half full. I also had to ask for extra oil and vinegar. For some reason, he thought just a little squirt was all I would want. If it's the only sauce I'm getting, give me enough for the whole thing! Terrible experience, terrible food. Being stingy will cost you business- in fact it already has.

We stopped by around 1 PM and somehow hit the jackpot: first car in the drive-thru. We ordered the Caniac Combo to share (because balance), extra sauce (non-negotiable), an extra piece of toast (obviously), sweet tea for me, and apple juice for the tiny boss. If you're a mom like me, you already know: toddler behavior is unpredictable at best. I wasn't about to risk a meltdown indoors, so we parked and enjoyed the surprisingly nice Minnesota weather instead. Best decision of the day. We ate, chatted, people-watched, and watched the drive-thru line go from long to gone while minding our business. The food was exactly what I expected--nothing life-changing, nothing disappointing. It did exactly what Canes is supposed to do. Staff greeted me with a smile at the pay window and the pickup window (points for consistency), the grounds outside were clean, and the location is super convenient--right near North Memorial Hospital and shopping centers.
