Very happy with food and service !…read more Last time I went to canes, I was disappointed. The strips were small and they forgot one of my sauces. However, this time made up for it !! I was very happy with the food, which was hot and fresh, and the chicken strips were bigger size and a better portion. The sauce was yummy as always and the bread was really buttery and delicious ! I will definitely return!!

We stopped by around 1 PM and somehow hit the jackpot: first car in the drive-thru. We ordered the Caniac Combo to share (because balance), extra sauce (non-negotiable), an extra piece of toast (obviously), sweet tea for me, and apple juice for the tiny boss. If you're a mom like me, you already know: toddler behavior is unpredictable at best. I wasn't about to risk a meltdown indoors, so we parked and enjoyed the surprisingly nice Minnesota weather instead. Best decision of the day. We ate, chatted, people-watched, and watched the drive-thru line go from long to gone while minding our business. The food was exactly what I expected--nothing life-changing, nothing disappointing. It did exactly what Canes is supposed to do. Staff greeted me with a smile at the pay window and the pickup window (points for consistency), the grounds outside were clean, and the location is super convenient--right near North Memorial Hospital and shopping centers. All in all: good service, good food, hot chicken (very hot ), and a smooth, easy experience. Sometimes that's all you need.

Stopped in my usual spot later than usual…read more I had the desire to try something different than my usual turkey and Prov. The crew working wasn't the usual. I was familiar with one of the Gals working. It was the Guy running the slicer who seemed "OFF" and really didn't want to be there. I ordered two meats on my 6" sand. The Provelone cheese was sliced much thinner than the Pencil thin thickness but it was the second meat that was stopped short and not given the full usual amount. I don't know what the guys problem was, but my sandwich was not the same as it usually is and I could not wait to hightail it out of there, and I'll have to rethink my decision to go and return to that location, especially in the evening

Appreciated that the place is very kid friendly. It's also a lot bigger inside than I thought. They have high chairs and kid friendly cups! Service was good! Wagners has been around since 1971, but opened it's Brooklyn Park location in 1988. From the looks…read moreof it, you would think it has been there from the 1950's because it is an authentic drive-in restaurant. That means there are little speakers next to each parking stall from which you order (the menu is near the speaker) and they will bring the food to your car. They used to bring the food to you on a tray, but now it is bagged up for you to either enjoy in your car or to take home. Other options are to sit at one of about half a dozen picnic tables, or there is seating inside the restaurant. Frankly, Wagners was getting a bit run-down, but they have spruced up the place in the last couple of year, with a well-deserved paint job, new speakers, and new picnic tables. They even have hand held credit card readers, which saves the waitstaff from making extra trips to process your card. The menu has all of the classics you would want, from a variety of tasty, juicy hamburgers, hot and cold sandwiches, meals that include fries, coleslaw, and toast. Their French fries are crinkle cut and excellent: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The onion rings are good and you can have Chile in a bowl or on your hamburger or hotdog. There are milkshakes, desserts, kids' meals and smoothies. I've eaten here for years and the food is always reliably great, the service is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Take your kids here, take your grandkids here, go here for a date, or just go yourself. It's a fun and tasty time!

Previously, I was oblivious to Erbert & Gerbert's until they opened in Anoka. My wife and I tried some subs and they were great! I like the signature "guts" from the bread. I didn't understand it at first. What's up with the big hunk of bread? Then I asked an employee and she showed me the sign explaining the signature "guts". Less than 15 minutes to get our food from when we ordered it, not bad at all! The food was hot, which was good. The bread served, isn't served warm though, this was also the case with one of the sandwich buns we received. So that was a disappointment there. The sandwich bun was actually almost slightly chilled, would be better if the bun was at least warmed up. Overall, they did a good job, and the inside of the restaurant is really neat with the graffiti art! My one last nit-pick is that I wish they were more consistent in the size of the chicken strips.
