I am an early riser so I tend to try to get out to eat just as places open. Thus, my pictures usually show empty seats. Do not let this deter you from trying this place. The decor is nostalgic and tasteful. It is spacious yet cozy. You seat yourself so I chose a booth along the front wall. My waitress was prompt and steady checking on my coffee level. The menu had plenty of options from omelets and wraps to breakfast sandwiches and full plate orders including biscuits and gravy. Sorry I forgot to take a menu picture. When my plate arrived, I wasn't sure I could eat it all. As I began to eat my senses were overwhelmed by all the flavors. It's definitely a great spot to get filled and enjoy good food. They also serve lunch. So a trip back later in the day is warranted.

The easiest way to find it is look for a building that looks like an auto body shop. Parking is on gravel adjacent to the building. The spaces are not marked. There is a handicapped sign to the left of the door. There are a few spaces across the street and more on the side of the building. There is a concrete sidewalk in front of the building. The gravel lot is even with the sidewalk on the right side but there is a small step up on the left. The entrance door is in the middle of the building. Walking in, there is a counter to the left where you pay. Bathrooms are straight ahead in the rear. Seating is a mix of booths and various sized tables. Seating is plentiful but well-spaced so maneuvering around is no problem. There was a sign to seat yourself so we picked a booth along the front of the building near the row of windows. Decor is auto related as would be expected. Lighting is bright without being overpowering. Our server arrived in less than a minute to bring the menus and take our drink order. She returned with the drinks in a couple minutes and took our lunch order. The drinks were in very large, maybe 32oz cups. Our server did come by near the end of the meal to ask if we wanted a refill but we still had just under half the drink left. The food took about 10 minutes to arrive. The bacon cheeseburger was very good. The burger was hot and juicy and served on a fresh and soft bun as large as the patty. The lettuce, tomato and onion were fresh, cold, and crisp. The onion rings were also very good. The batter was crisp and the onion slightly soft, an excellent combination. The Western burger was another winner. The sautéed mushrooms were not mushy and had a nice sauce accompanying them. The sauteed onion and white cheese added additional depth. The meat was juicy and flavorful and the bun soft and fresh. The french fries were thin and crispy but had a nice softness inside. This was an excellent lunch, and each burger was a wonderful flavor sensation. The french fries and onion rings were an excellent accompaniment and deserve mention on their own. Bond-o to Burger also does breakfast and I look forward to trying that soon as well.

The service was fair but not terribly friendly. The burger was excellent! But, the fries were bloody awful. They had obviously been in the heater for..oh, I'd say, about three weeks. They were dry, stale and probably recooked or reheated several times. No burger joint manager worth his or her salt would ever try to press such rubbish onto a trusting public. I reiterate, the service was sub par and the fries were inedible; but the burger was very good. Blountville is a nice little town. The local inhabitants should be given a better fry accounting than is offered by Hardee's. But, the burger was really, really good!

I drive thousands of miles a month. In this instance I called ahead from the interstate to make sure that they were open and that they would serve lunch at 10:30. The lady I talked to said yes, they would serve at 10:30. It took me about 15 minutes to get there and I waited in the parking lot for 30 minutes for them to stop serving breakfast. I walked in at 10:35 just to be on the safe side and give them time to change over. After standing in there for a couple of minutes while they chitchatted someone did finally ask me if I was ready to order. I asked for a burger and I was told that I could not get lunch yet, that it would be at least another 15 to 20 minutes. I left frustrated because by the time I get back on the interstate I've spent an hour and still don't have lunch. I have to get to my destination before bad weather hits. I was already stretching it at waiting an extra 30 minutes for them to open. I even explained to them before I left that I waited in the parking lot for 30 minutes for them to start serving lunch. I was told that there was nothing they could do. The drive-through is empty and other than the five or six employees I was the only one in the restaurant. With no clear understanding of why I couldn't get lunch at 10:35 I called shortly after leaving the parking lot because I would like an explanation in case this happens again somewhere else and I was told that had he known I came off the interstate and waited in the parking lot 30 minutes he would've served me lunch anyway. I'm not sure what their food is like, I'd say on par with the rest of the Hardee's and the place looked clean but I'm giving them a zero for service.

They grew their efforts until, today, they have 19 locations across East Tennessee. We were hungry for Tennessee barbeque and found this near our hotel. It is located one the northwest corner of the I-81 and state street intersection up the hill from State Street in a small shopping center. You order at the counter and can wait for your food or, in our case, they can bring it to your table. There is a drink station right after the counter. The seating is a mix of booths and tables. The menu is a variety of pork, chicken, brisket, smoky dawg, smoky wings, ham or turkey. I tried a pork sandwich combo that comes with a drink. There were two sauces on the table (sweet and spicy) and both were good. The staff was friendly. The prices were very reasonable and the tables were kept clean. Overall, it was good food in a good place at a good price with friendly people. I plan to visit this or other locations again and suggest you do the same.

Hush puppies were unique - some kind of herb inside. All of the meats we had (chicken, pork, hot dog) were all good, a little dry. Barbecue sauces at the table (sweet and hot) were tasty. For fast food bbq, it's okay.
