This hands down is the best and friendliest staff that I have had the pleasure to order from and in and out in less than 2.5 min. UNREAL your efficiency and knowledge exceeded all expectations for someone from Raleigh, NC. We have family still in the area and we will always be sure to visit your restaurant every single trip! This store needs to be the FLAGSHIP!! Keep it up you guys!! GMcCloud read more

The staff were super friendly. The fries were not my favorite, they were kind of sweet and the burger was a little salty but I wasn't mad about it. I would come back here if I pass through again. read more

This is a quick review as we are on the road right now, but we stopped in Kingsport to grab a bite on the way up to Virginia. The Shack closed early, so we went through Pal's drive-through and we are shocked at how good these burgers are! The double doubles are fresh, well-seasoned, high quality and substantial. I couldn't eat an entire one. The chocolate shake has really nice flavor and the fries are good, if a wee bit too salty. There are four of us here in the car and we are all very happy right now. Don't hesitate to try this place! read more

Might be the best fast food I've ever eaten. Burgers, sandwiches and FRIES were outstanding

Stopped in on our way back to Nashville. The service was efficient and quick. The burgers and frenchie fries were very good. The vanilla milkshake was so yummy. Would definitely recommend. read more

Okay, as we were driving through Tennessee, I let my son search and find a quick place to stop for dinner. I was skeptical of his choice when I pulled up to Pal's, but wow, this place exceeded my expectations. We each ordered a Double Big Pal w/ cheese ($6.79) and shared a large frenchie fries ($3.19). Service was quick and helpful as we were unfamiliar with their menu. The burgers were huge, and well constructed and packaged for fast food. Somehow, they didn't seem greasy, and the veggies were plentiful. With no place to sit, we made a table out of our car hood and dove into the deliciousness. I'm a big fan of mayonnaise on a burger, as ketchup can seem redundant when you top your burger with tomato. The mayonnaise combined well with the shredded lettuce. If you like McDonald's fries, I think you'll really like these frenchies as they are similarly cut, but crispier and dusted with a unique sugary salt seasoning. Like most fries, they were a lot more enjoyable when hot, and unfortunately, they cooled off quickly while eating our burgers. My son definitely gives this place 5-stars! read more

We are always looking for new places to try so picking something up on our way home to NC we chose this place. Simple menu, girl at the window was so patient with us while we decided and gave us her faves, very friendly staff and the food was DELICIOUS. Wish we had one closer. Will def hit it up again next time we are in TN. read more

I've never seen a fast food place like Pal's. The giant hamburger and hotdog and fries on the store was a walking buildboard that I wasn't going to pass off and notice. This fast food joint was just established since 1956. Only in Tennessee can u get a taste of Pal's. I'd choose this local business hands down for their quick service and friendliness. The food was good. I enjoyed every bit of their frenchie fries with the perfect fry seasoning and crisp. The Pal's cheeseburger was super filling and with the famous sauce on the side the burger gets a flare of sauce that taste like sloppy joe. I've never ate a chippie sandwich before but the fully loaded layers of ham in the sandwich was flavorful. For my drink, I decided on the orange creamsicle shake to satisfy my sweet necessity. Loved it! If I could come back to tennessee I wouldn't pass on their service and friendliness. They were top notch above other fast food chains and minus the greasiness. The biscuit and gravy with seasoned fries was my favorite! read more

The food is always so fresh and Amazing! Love their fries. We stop every time we are going through the area! It truly is a holiday treat for us! read more

Hands-down, the best fries ever. Took my kiddos, and they also agreed. And their chili cheeseburger is also darn good. They are a drive-through place so myself, along with many others after purchasing food pulled over in a parking spot to enjoy it on a rainy afternoon. My only regret is that I only got to go there once while on vacation! read more

I'm always a positive vote for Pal's. Having been originally from the area, I swing by anytime I am through the area. This visit I grabbed food for my kids who thought I was making a big deal about nothing. They now love it too! Burgers, hot dogs and fries for the win! read more

Food is delicious but however as a deaf person, i felt rushed and didnt have friendly visual access to menu until i arrive at window but however we were in big SUV so the menu wasn't visual accessible. Need to improve entrance on drive through. Not safe place to enter pals read more

They lied about their patty melt burger. It's not real sourdough it's just a bun turned upside down, very misleading ! There's there's a billboard that advertises the Patty mount and that's what it shows it as being a sourdough bread, but it's actually a bun. A hamburger bun turned upside down! Stop them from misleading people read more

The GOAT. My favorite things are limited time items. Bar-B Dog and Pork Tenderloin Biscuit. The tea is very sweet.

Subpar food service is usually ok. Pricey for what you receive. Fries are usually cold and undercooked!

I wish the prices on the yelp page of the menu reflected the actual menu when I went to go purchase what I wanted it was almost 3 times as much as what is listed on yelp read more

On our long drive to Tennessee, it was time to stop for some gas and grab a quick bite to eat. We passed by the usual chains- McDonalds, Arbys, etc. Out of nowhere we see this wacky building with a huge structure of a hot dog, soda, fries, and hamburger on it. That definitely grabbed our attention. We have never heard of Pal's before and so I took out my trusty Yelp app. I was so happy to see that three Yelpers had already reviewed this place. After reading Elizabeth B, Barron D, and Chuck L's reviews, I knew I had to give this place a try. Thanks for the recommendations guys! There is no seating available at this location, it's drive-through only. We usually park and eat in the car. The gentleman who took our order was friendly and quick. Once we drove over to the pick-up window, within minutes our food was ready. They really follow their motto of "sudden service." The lady at the pick-up window was also very sweet. We decided to try their Hot Dogs ($1.69), a Big Pal w/ cheese ($3.29), Large Frenchie Fries ($1.79), and Sweet Tea ($0.99). The Big Pal was tasty. It isn't the best burger I've ever tasted but it's definitely far from the worst. I appreciate that it wasn't greasy and doesn't leave you feeling heavy like some of the other burger joints. When I ordered a Hot Dog, I figured it would be just a plain sausage in a bun. If you order a Hot Dog from Pal's, that means chili, mustard, and onions come with it as well. How nice! A bit messy, but delicious. I absolutely love their Frenchie Fries. They are thinly cut, warm, crisp, and seasoned with special spices. There is more than just a sprinkle of salt on these fries. I'm not sure what's in the seasoning, but these fries are addicting. I'm so glad we got a chance to try out Pal's. read more

Great hamburgers, hotdogs, and their fries are the BOMB! Very fast service too! The long lines around any Pal's speaks for itself!

Miss Pals so much when I come to town have to have a hotdog and tea! Love it Each bite is bursting with flavor that wakes your taste buds from a slumber of soda and peanut butter crackers from traveling. It isn't fine dinning but so worth the wait in line! read more

Love Pals . Food is always good . Never have a problem with it .Getting ppl thru the drive thru is always fast

Fabulous food. Never once gotten my order wrong nor had to wait longer then 5 minutes and that's with the customers wrapped around the building. read more

The food is cheap, but good. A local favorite and a great place to grab a quick bite anytime of day. The service is good and from what I know they treat their employees relatively well. Pal's remains the only fast-food chain in the area to not give me food poisoning. I know, the bar is literally on the floor. My favorite things to get are a peachy sprite and a large fry. I'd recommend it to anyone! read more

Was here for breakfast .. although as almost the whole world knows Pals is famous for their burgers and dogs. Service was fast as I have always experienced - fresh and hot and Delicious. Had the biscuit and ham. Was not hungry enough for the famous cheddar rounds but I know they are favorite. Coffee is really good too. This is only a drive though and even tho the line with long it moves fast. High quality fast food very well managed which provides consistent quality. read more

It wasn't this last visit but a few month ago, I counted the cars in line and I was either 19th or 21st in line. Just for fun I timed when I arrived in line and when I picked up my food. It took only 7 minutes and 20 seconds! You read it correctly, folks under 8 minutes! The food as usual hot, tasty, delicious-so delicious it almost didn't make it home as I wanted to start eating it in the car while driving! Pals you must do something about the pleasing, mouth watering aroma of a freshly highly stacked cooked burger and french fries, because if you don't my wife may not get her burger next time- I will blame it on the dog-she loves your burgers too! I have to go-typing this review is making me hungry! read more

Burger was blah. Food cold. Not prepared as ordered. We don't know why it is popular and KGSPT has so many ...?

Definitely the best burgers and fries in the Tri Cities. Love the style of ordering with it in-person and how quickly they get you served. We came from AZ with high standards of burgers thanks to us living 5 minutes from an In-N-Out. While not quite the same, still awesome nonetheless. read more

Fast. Gr8 fast food. Service is ALWAYS IMPECCABLE!!!! Affordable is plus today for sure!

Staple of the community. This place (as a food chain) does more for the Tri-Cities (Tennessee) and southwestern Virginia region than most businesses combined. Behold the power of POWER of Pal's. If the world was ending, they'd be open with a smile on their face and that says a lot about both management and working conditions. read more

I only gave this place three stars because they don't serve turkey burgers or black bean burgers. Visiting this area, I had to stop by and at least try the fries and the tea. The locals are right. The service is fast and hot. I thoroughly enjoyed my fries and peach tea:) FYI: The fries kinda taste like McDonalds fries with seasoning salt. read more
