No mistaking what is served here! No seats, just tasty food.

Okay, as we were driving through Tennessee, I let my son search and find a quick place to stop for dinner. I was skeptical of his choice when I pulled up to Pal's, but wow, this place exceeded my expectations. We each ordered a Double Big Pal w/ cheese ($6.79) and shared a large frenchie fries ($3.19). Service was quick and helpful as we were unfamiliar with their menu. The burgers were huge, and well constructed and packaged for fast food. Somehow, they didn't seem greasy, and the veggies were plentiful. With no place to sit, we made a table out of our car hood and dove into the deliciousness. I'm a big fan of mayonnaise on a burger, as ketchup can seem redundant when you top your burger with tomato. The mayonnaise combined well with the shredded lettuce. If you like McDonald's fries, I think you'll really like these frenchies as they are similarly cut, but crispier and dusted with a unique sugary salt seasoning. Like most fries, they were a lot more enjoyable when hot, and unfortunately, they cooled off quickly while eating our burgers. My son definitely gives this place 5-stars!

I've never seen a fast food place like Pal's. The giant hamburger and hotdog and fries on the store was a walking buildboard that I wasn't going to pass off and notice. This fast food joint was just established since 1956. Only in Tennessee can u get a taste of Pal's. I'd choose this local business hands down for their quick service and friendliness. The food was good. I enjoyed every bit of their frenchie fries with the perfect fry seasoning and crisp. The Pal's cheeseburger was super filling and with the famous sauce on the side the burger gets a flare of sauce that taste like sloppy joe. I've never ate a chippie sandwich before but the fully loaded layers of ham in the sandwich was flavorful. For my drink, I decided on the orange creamsicle shake to satisfy my sweet necessity. Loved it! If I could come back to tennessee I wouldn't pass on their service and friendliness. They were top notch above other fast food chains and minus the greasiness. The biscuit and gravy with seasoned fries was my favorite!

Hands-down, the best fries ever. Took my kiddos, and they also agreed. And their chili cheeseburger is also darn good. They are a drive-through place so myself, along with many others after purchasing food pulled over in a parking spot to enjoy it on a rainy afternoon. My only regret is that I only got to go there once while on vacation!

Yet another perfect junior burger with cheese! Fries and tea on point as well! This is a must have when in the area!

We went on a Tuesday evening and there was only a handful of patrons at the bar and a few tables. The bartender/waitress was very friendly and attentive. She had us find a seat and was quick to get drinks and appetizer orders. The menu had many interesting items including about 10 different hot dogs and 10-15 different burgers. The food came out quickly and overall was pretty good. We had deviled eggs with pimento cheese and fried banana peppers for an appetizer. Both were large and fed multiple people. The eggs were a little disappointing because they were just hard boiled eggs hollowed out with pimento cheese put in place of the yolk. Would have been more interesting to see how it could have been made with the yolk as well. The banana peppers were tasty with a good balance of sweet and crunchy. I had the burger with spicy goat cheese and the banana peppers. Overall the burger was delicious with many layers of flavor. It's a smash patty type burger with crisp edges and cooked well done. While my preference is a thicker juicy burger, this has lots of flavor to it and the unique combinations gave everyone something to try. My side was pickle fries and these were excellent. Some of the best fried pickles I've had. Overall a delicious meal for a very reasonable price.

It has a cool vibe with music and attentive servers. I love the mounts on the wall. We got here around 5:20 and people kept streaming in. We started with their chili cheese fries: they were really good. They bring out a homemade ranch that is also good. I'm a spice fan, and their chili wasn't spicy, but the chili was thick and really good. Beer selection is pretty good; lots of domestic beers and some on draft. The food was very good: their fried banana peppers and fried pickles are fantastic. I had their spicy burger without a bun (sorry, no pic) and loved it. Overall, we really liked our visit.

The cheesesteak itself was the highlight--thinly sliced beef cooked just right, juicy without being greasy, and packed into a fresh, soft roll that held everything together without falling apart. The cheese was perfectly melted. I added grilled onions and peppers, and they brought a nice balance of sweetness and texture. The menu had a good variety beyond the classic cheesesteak, including poutine, loaded fries and other sandwich and burger options, but it's clear the star here is the signature sandwich. Portion sizes were generous, and the prices felt fair for the quality and quantity. Service was quick and straightforward--nothing overly fancy, but efficient and friendly enough to make the experience smooth. The atmosphere was casual and laid-back, making it a great place to grab a quick bite or hang out with friends without any fuss. While you are there, be sure to check out all the unique artwork and murals on the walls. If you're craving a hearty, no-nonsense cheesesteak that delivers on flavor, this place is definitely worth checking out. It's not trying to reinvent the cheesesteak wheel--it's just doing it really well.

I am an early riser so I tend to try to get out to eat just as places open. Thus, my pictures usually show empty seats. Do not let this deter you from trying this place. The decor is nostalgic and tasteful. It is spacious yet cozy. You seat yourself so I chose a booth along the front wall. My waitress was prompt and steady checking on my coffee level. The menu had plenty of options from omelets and wraps to breakfast sandwiches and full plate orders including biscuits and gravy. Sorry I forgot to take a menu picture. When my plate arrived, I wasn't sure I could eat it all. As I began to eat my senses were overwhelmed by all the flavors. It's definitely a great spot to get filled and enjoy good food. They also serve lunch. So a trip back later in the day is warranted.

The easiest way to find it is look for a building that looks like an auto body shop. Parking is on gravel adjacent to the building. The spaces are not marked. There is a handicapped sign to the left of the door. There are a few spaces across the street and more on the side of the building. There is a concrete sidewalk in front of the building. The gravel lot is even with the sidewalk on the right side but there is a small step up on the left. The entrance door is in the middle of the building. Walking in, there is a counter to the left where you pay. Bathrooms are straight ahead in the rear. Seating is a mix of booths and various sized tables. Seating is plentiful but well-spaced so maneuvering around is no problem. There was a sign to seat yourself so we picked a booth along the front of the building near the row of windows. Decor is auto related as would be expected. Lighting is bright without being overpowering. Our server arrived in less than a minute to bring the menus and take our drink order. She returned with the drinks in a couple minutes and took our lunch order. The drinks were in very large, maybe 32oz cups. Our server did come by near the end of the meal to ask if we wanted a refill but we still had just under half the drink left. The food took about 10 minutes to arrive. The bacon cheeseburger was very good. The burger was hot and juicy and served on a fresh and soft bun as large as the patty. The lettuce, tomato and onion were fresh, cold, and crisp. The onion rings were also very good. The batter was crisp and the onion slightly soft, an excellent combination. The Western burger was another winner. The sautéed mushrooms were not mushy and had a nice sauce accompanying them. The sauteed onion and white cheese added additional depth. The meat was juicy and flavorful and the bun soft and fresh. The french fries were thin and crispy but had a nice softness inside. This was an excellent lunch, and each burger was a wonderful flavor sensation. The french fries and onion rings were an excellent accompaniment and deserve mention on their own. Bond-o to Burger also does breakfast and I look forward to trying that soon as well.
