Considering this is the only fast food place in Barnegat it's not so bad. If you really want to experience a bad fast food restaurant stop in the BK in Manahawkin or for a horrifying experience, the McD's in Little Egg Harbor. I really like BK as a whole and this restaurant never disappoints me. My wife and I stop in at least once a week without issue. The only complaints I've ever had was the Phili whopper and that was a corporate problem (3 strand of fried onion only) but even then the manager fixed it. The second issue is depending on the manager, the store employees can be a bit rowdy and loud (the older managers run a tight ship). The service was extremely slow . They forgot part of our order. If we didn't check our bag we would not have known. We had to wait a long time for them to cook the fries they forgot to add. Part of our order came cold because we had to wait for the fries . It is a clean establishment. Skip this place unless you have a time to waste for extremely slow service. Where the difference lies is the parking is a little difficult here due to its proximity to the parkway and other businesses in this mall. Legitimately one of the worst fast food locations around. Constantly waiting 10+ minutes at the drive thru even if there is only one car ahead of you. Then, they mess up the order at least 75% of the time. I am genuinely surprised when they get it all right. Order two Whopper Jrs. with cheese? Good luck, they are forgetting the cheese. Want BBQ and Sweet and Sour sauce for your nuggets? Feel free to ask, but they give you 1 BBQ packet and forget the other after confirming what you want. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches this morning, one with sausage and one with ham. Waited forever to get to the pay window, kid verbally confirms with me that one is ham and one is sausage, I get home and they are both sausage. Ownership/Management at this place is severely lacking. Mistakes happen but this BK has taken it to an art form. The only reason I stopped here was out of starvation. I have yet to receive an order that is even close to warm. I ordered a whopper, the burger was cold, the bun was falling apart because of all the condiments sitting in there too long. One time I asked for a whopper with no cheese, they gave me a cold burger with absolutely nothing on it. Why do I keep going back, they're not going to get any better? While placing my order via drive thru speaker I emphasized the fact that I wanted a double hamburger with no cheese and no pickle. I made sure to repeat the "no cheese, no pickle" because when the associate repeated back my order he said "double cheeseburger. When I repeated my order "double hamburger with no cheese and no pickle" the associate got snippy and condescending as if he was stating the obvious that a hamburger would not include cheese. Normally I would agree except for the fact that every single time I place this same order i receive a double cheeseburger at which I need to return to the store for a replacement item. I understand people have their days and I've been there before and the order was just very slightly off, but today does it! I went there with the coupon, to get a Whopper meal for two. It was a very simple order and the only specification I had was that I asked them to make sure the fries were hot, because they do have a habit of giving you lukewarm to cold fries. I didn't think this was a big deal. So I get up to the window and I pay and they tell me that I have to wait for the fries to be cooked. Again, no big deal and I had no problem waiting. After waiting about maybe 8 minutes, they give me my food and I head home. When I get home and we open the bag, not only for the fries cold and absolutely not freshly made, but the small fry container wasn't even filled to a normal amount. It looked almost like they took one small container and divvied it up between two of them! Not only that, but the two Whoppers were also cold. I don't understand what I was waiting for if none of the food seemed to be hot or freshly made. To add insult to injury, the manager, who was some young tall guy had a really bad attitude and this look on his face the whole time - not what I would consider good customer service or quality food. We tried calling them to complain but, the phone number that's listed on this Yelp page and on their main pages comes up as a disconnected number. How convenient. I ended up calling to report how awful this places is. And these people want $15 an hour? LOL okay We will not be going back to that place again. read more

On February 2, 2021 @ 5:00pm I went to this BK. If I could give no stars I would. Had an order of over $40 and wanted to use a $50 bill. Big Boy at the window tells me that the Owner won't let him take a $50 bill. I tell him there are no signs, he tells me the Owner puts a sign by the ordering post and people take it. I asked the Big Boy what would happen if my order was $51.00? He tells me that the Owner won't let him take a $50 bill. I ask for the Manager and the Big Boy tells me that he is the Manager. This experience is simply amazing!! I would suggest if you're going to this BK, bring plenty of change, no big bills. BTW, when I got home, my order was missing a sandwich. I am not a hard person to please but if I order and pay for something, I want it to be done correctly. Last time we went, we ordered 3 sandwiches, we received two of them. Of course we get home and it was my sandwich they missed, which we did pay for. And I had a craving for a milkshake. The machine was broken. Today we went, ordered 2 regular Whoppers with cheese and 1 BBQ bacon Whopper. We received 2 Whoppers with cheese and 1 regular Whopper with no BBQ sauce or bacon. At least they got our 2 orders of fries right, because there were actual fries in the bag. I will definitely not be returning to this Burger King on W. Bay Ave. in Barnegat, NJ. I went through the drive-through at 4:20pm today. The girl who took my order was extremely rude with a definite nasty tone. Unfortunately, due to her wearing a mask I could not hear clearly what she was saying and I asked her politely to repeat a few of her responses. When she did she acted more and more annoyed that she had to do so. I explained I wanted a crispy chicken sandwich and she said it was a #7. I asked her if it was very spicy and she said "it can be." I thought she meant that sometimes the spices can be stronger than other times. She tried to rush me as well and there was no car behind me. At the window I explained again that I could not hear her and her words were not clear. She then said to a co-worker that she hates people! She probably thought I couldn't hear her BUT I DID! She is a young, blonde girl. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager & her name is Bella. If she hates people she should not be dealing with them. She needs some manners & training on how to treat customers. And to make things worse, when I got home I tried to eat my sandwich and it was burnt and I could not even bite into it. I've contacted BK multiple times to express my concerns and have yet to hear from anyone. I don't think I have ever had a good experience at this restaurant. The employees are very rude. They always seem annoyed to be doing their job. The young man who took my order last night was especially nasty to me. I had a $5 coupon ready to use on the mobile app, so I ordered what was listed on it. I saw something else that looked good, so I asked for an order and was abruptly told they don't have them. I was rushed through my order and not shown any form of kindness when I pulled up to the window. I told him I had a coupon, to which he replied, "You had to give me that when you placed your order, so it's $8". I repeatedly asked him what he was referring to and he had no valid response. He turned to his manager, who was also disrespectful to me and he also told me I had to give the coupon code when I ordered. The app says to give the code when you pay the cashier, just like I've done at this and several other BK locations (as well as other restaurants with apps). This place is an absolute disgrace!
