The staff are not very friendly or approachable it seems like they dont like their jobs. They also got our orders wrong they didnt even say sorry they are rude about it saying the counter staff might not hear us but we said it clearly with hand gestures that we ordered 2. If I could give this place a ZERO I would. Sat in line for 10 minutes with a long line of other people, my husband's sugar was dropping and there was only 2 employees in the restaurant. After 5 minutes the person in front of us left the line and finally after waiting another 5 minutes we had to leave. Don't waste your time here. Get it together Burger King! read more

Are you a fan of deplorable customer service? Are you in favor of long wait times? Or maybe I can interest you in an inaccurate order? Well, you're in luck because you can have ALL of the above at this Burger King in Alachua! Seriously, I've visited this establishment numerous times. There have been numerous times my order was incorrect. No big deal, I took the orders back and got them corrected. I get it, no one wants to work and good staff has always been hard to find but this Burger King is out of control. My most recent visit will be my last visit. I would rather drive the 15 miles to Gainesville if I ever want Burger King. To make a long story short, I waited in the drive-through for about 15 minutes. It was a holiday so I was ok with the wait. What I was not ok with was getting home and realizing half of my order was missing. I went back to the restaurant and waited in the drive-through. No one was in line, but no one ever came to the speaker so after a few minutes I went inside. There was one man in line and he was clearly irritated. The staff behind the counter were arguing amongst themselves. The man rolled his eyes as the staff continued to argue as if customers were not in the lobby. I asked him how long he had been waiting. He said at least 15 mins. The man was finally helped and I was up next. By now, my food was cold and I explained my order was missing food and asked for a refund. No one asked what was the issue with the food or if they could remake the order. The young man said ok, took my receipt, and went somewhere in the back of the restaurant. The young man came back and said the refund was done. I was not confident in this answer, as I paid with a debit card and I was not prompted to swipe my card at the register in the manner most refunds are processed. The young man said the order was canceled in their system and since the order was canceled, the transaction would be voided and the bank would cancel the withdrawal. I still was not confident in this answer but left and got food from McDonald's instead. A few days passed and guess what? Like a predictable movie, the charge was not voided and/or canceled. I called the restaurant to inquire about the charge. The manager was dismissive and said to "give it a few more days". I gave it a calendar week and still nothing. I reached out to BK Corporate offices via email. They offered me $15 off in digital coupons and 500 reward points. I declined and once again asked for a refund. The person emailing said they would have the manager reach out to me. Days later I had not heard anything back. I reached out again via email and let them know that I had not been contacted and this was my final attempt to resolve this issue before I disputed the charge with my financial institution. I was assured that the manager would reach out to me soon. No one contacted me and it eventually slipped my mind. I called the restaurant myself and asked to speak with the manager about a month later. The manager said she clearly remembered this situation. This struck me as odd. Remember, I've frequented this establishment and can recognize the manager by sight. She was not present on this day. She followed up that the manager said he gave me a cash refund the very day I asked a refund. I asked her wasn't she the manager and wasn't she not working that day? Listen, words mean things. There is a difference between a store manager and a manager on duty. Either way, I was NOT given a cash refund and I emphasized this to her. She assured me that I did get a cash refund. I was astonished that this woman was essentially calling me a liar and a thief. She said at this point, she was unwilling to provide any additional assistance with my request for a refund because I waited too long to resolve this. I very pointedly asked her how I waited too long when I previously reached out to her and discussed this issue with her and when I was told she would be reaching out to me and never did? I also pointed out her stories were not making logical sense. I asked was she refusing a refund because I allegedly "already received one" OR was she refusing a refund because I waited too long for her contact that never came. She became very annoyed and reiterated she was not giving me a thing. I terminated the call and filed a chargeback with my financial institution. This incident does not seem to isolated. There are nearly 100 reviews on other platforms with very similar experiences to mine. If you live in Alachua, do not go here. If you are coming off the interstate and need a quick bite I recommend choosing another establishment. Either the manager is being dishonest in saying the young man told her he gave me a cash refund or he is being dishonest and pocketed my refund. I see that the reviews for this location are pretty bad but I saw it after the fact.... but with that said, I'm actually glad that I went. The burgers actually had the charbroiled taste and the fries were still hot going down the road. The customer service was great and fast. I only have one complaint suggestion ... Do not order a large fry!!! I ordered a large and my wife ordered a medium. Once we were in the car and taking our food out, you could barely tell which size was bigger they almost looked identical. The first was that I could tell they were different because the bottom of the containers were different colors. As far as the amount of fries, she had more fries in her medium container compared to my so called large container with less fries. SMH!!! read more

The manager, who was taking my order, was rude, abandoned the order, and when I asked questions about what was available told me to f-ck off. I drove up to the window and they said racist, abusive, and homophobic statements. I called the BK headquarters with the complaint, but they have yet to respond. Avoid this place! read more

This location deserves a 5 star review. Every time I have been here, the service has been friendly, professional and quick. They have never gotten an order wrong, the food is always available and served hot and fresh, and I've never had to wait longer than a minute in line. Highly recommend and will continue giving them my business! read more
