On this one I am going to agree that these burgers were amazing. Being from the United States we certainly know a lot about burgers but in all the travels I've done there's only one other place in Key Largo Florida that can hold a candle to this burger joint. Burgers are good, I has the Mexican burger which is topped with guacamole and peppers. I was disappointed in a few things, which really impacted my experience. Warning: There are not napkins on the tables, only this paper, which is great to wrap and hold the burger, but awful when trying to wipe something up. Given the gormet burgers can sometimes be messy, this was extremely inconvenient. Also note that there are sauce bottles on the counter that look like regular ketchup, however they are specialty ketchup (like curry ketchup, spicy ketchup, etc). Great neighborhood burger joint in BA. Very friendly staff and a few of them speak English, which is great, since my Spanish is broken. And yes, they have free (and good) wifi...as do most places. They are cash only, but there is a good money exchange place around the corner the owner told me about - super nice guy. The decor is cool - lots of graffiti and random movie posters all over. They have a back garden patio area which is cool, as well as front outdoor seating on the sidewalk. They have a veggie burger that you can substitute for any other style of burger. I ordered the Mexican burger with the veggie one. They have a couple of combos, so I chose the one with fries and a cerveza - got a draft pale ale. Their local beer isn't bad...it's a normal beer, similar to a Miller or Bud. The burger was fantastic! The cheese was melted on, had spicy jalapeños, and the bread was warm and moist. The burger itself wasn't too dry and didn't fall apart. The fries were actually really good, esp with a ketchup-hot sauce mixture. Their ketchup is also different than the US - reminds me of Indian maggi ketchup. The mexican gets a bit sloppy with the guacamole and the chilis are really spicy. Really. The best one is probably the NY burger with bbq sauce. The fries are perfect, golden and super crunchy. Prices are very budget friendly, 150$ for a combo with fries and drink. They have tables outside, in the graffiti decorated restaurant and in the backyard. I love this place! The "Mexican burger"is the best burger I've ever had. I had to go back twice during my stay in BA. It had guac, red onion, tomato, jalapeno peppers, 2 cheeses, and some kind of spicy salsa. The place has a really cool atmosphere too, and you can't beat the price! $130 pesos (about 8 USD) for the burger, fries, and a beer. It does get a bit crowded sometimes, and it can take a little while to get your food, but it's made to order and it's totally worth it! Just grab a drink and hang out while you wait. Definitely worth going if your in town. UPDATE: I had to update this review and drop it a couple stars because, although I still love the food, I found out that they stole their name and even the logo from another restaurant. I saw another "burger joint" in NYC with the same exact logo so I went to their website excitedly to find out if it's the same one. They several locations around the world, but none in Argentina. I reached out to them through the e-mail address on the website to see what was going on. Since even the logo is the same I was confused. They let me know that they're NOT the same restaurant, and that the BA location sole their name/logo. They're the starters of the now burger trend in Buenos Aires and they're one of the best or more than likely, still the best. Before arriving to Buenos I was warned that the burgers would consistently disappoint despite how amazing the meat in Argentina is. That said, Burger Joint is one of the best burgers I've ever had and is still one of maybe only 2 or 3 places in the whole city that I consistently crave. I get the Jamaican Burger, and though I fully intend to try the rest of the ones on the menu, I still can't seem to pass up getting this one when I'm there. The menu is small, but it covers all the bases on burger needs and it allows for greater ease of ordering. It's AR$90 for a burger, fries, and a drink (includes the sangria which is really pretty rad), and once you make that conversion it's only $7.50 which is a great value. One complaint, one time the slice of pineapple on my burger was so thin I thought it was cheese at first, but usually it's terrific. The fries are great, but what REALLY deserves a shout out is the ketchup. It might be hard to get your hands on as there are only two or three bottles to go around the place and they're constantly being snatched up by other tables or emptied out but it's seriously amazing. It's lightly curried and it makes all the difference. If I could take nothing else with me back from Argentina I'd wanna take a bottle of their ketchup. I have several friends here who don't even like ketchup and they never stop talking about how much they love this ketchup. The place is decorated like a tiny NYC spot, and it's super on-trend so as a result the Porteños love it and the foreigners do too. What I mean is it's always super packed and it's not always easy to find a table, but if you get there before the dinner rush starts (which to be fair doesn't isn't even til 8:30 most nights) you stand a pretty good chance. Bonus: the music selection is pretty awesome too. None of that bizarre 1.5x sped up stuff that you hear at a lot of other food spots/everywhere. read more

Burger Joint saved me as an American abroad in Argentina. I lived in Buenos Aires for almost a year and every weekend I had a craving for this place. Sometimes, my girlfriend and I would take the subway and walk for another 15 minutes just to get this place. It was ALWAYS worth it. Burgers are amazing, but their fries are somehow even better. They have all sorts of great sauces to pair with your food; I loved the spicy sauce and the cilantro mayo with my fries. Environment is really hip.
