Man, how to review this place?…read more First of all, I want to give a disclaimer. I'm not a local. We stopped for dinner here when we were driving through Baker City and had stopped for the night. We did a Google search for a place in Baker City that was kid friendly. And eagle Cap grill is one of the options that came up. This is definitely a local establishment. If you're looking for an option that isn't a chain restaurant. We had a good time at the eagle Cap grill. However, I wouldn't say it's exactly kid friendly. Don't get me wrong, everybody was super sweet with our kids, but there aren't any extra accommodations for small children, if that makes sense. Like some breweries have outdoor play areas, or there's room to run around, or they have like kids menus with crayons, etc. The food that we got at eagle Cap grill was good, although I wouldn't say that it was great. It was about what I would expect from a traditional American diner. Also, the layout of the interior of the restaurant is very cramped. I appreciate that they were full, and good for them by the way, but I was basically eating dinner with the table next to me while I was eating dinner with my family. They're also wasn't any room to move around inside the restaurant. So there was one point where my wife got up to take one of my daughters to the bathroom, and it ended up being an awkward maneuver to do so. The service was excellent, everyone was friendly. Absolutely no complaints there. Honestly, the biggest thing that brings this down to a four-star review, was the price. Look, I understand times are hard, I understand restaurant margins are super slim, however, I spent over $50 for two entrees. We didn't get any food for my kids, don't worry they ate from my wife's and my meals, and it still cost over $50. And that was before tip. So again, I'm willing to pay a little bit extra to eat at a local establishment, I'm willing to pay a little bit extra for food that isn't mass produced, but it can't be twice as expensive, can it? Anyway, we really did like this place. And would definitely come back if we were going back through Baker city.

After checking out a few places online, we decided to head to Lattitude 45 Grille for dinner. Pulling up to the venue, you notice how updated and pretty the joint is. There are a couple tables outside and beautiful potted flowers in the front, it's quite welcoming. Walking in, we were instantly greeted. We got sat in a small room that had a couple tables. It was separated from the main dining area. I appreciate the room we were in cause it created more of a personnal environment for my friend and I. The room was bright and vibrant. I love the big windows, it gave us a great view. I did check out the menu online. I noticed they had lobster manicotti. I was sold! Pasta, lobster and sauce, you can't get better than that! We breezed through the menus again while our drinks were getting taken care of. As many times as I looked the menu over and over again, I couldn't find the lobster manicotti. The waitress confirmed that they didn't offer it anymore. Such a bummer cause it was the only thing that really caught my eye. For dinner I settled for the chicken fontana with the pesto sauce on the side. I also got alfredo as my side since it was an option. I like that they give you pasta options as a side besides your typical fries and salad. Our meals came out super hot. I got a beautiful piece of chicken and a nice portion of alfredo. I can tell the pasta was freshly made, I was pretty close to burning my mouth cause of hot it was. The sauce on the pasta was rich and creamy. I did add a little salt and pepper to it, it needed just a pinchmore salt. The chicken was flavorful! Whatever they used as a crust on the chicken, it was nice! I used some of the alfredo sauce to dip the chicken in. The chicken was good but it was also kinda dry and there wasn't much cheese in the middle. The alfredo sauce really was needed. Our sweet server got a piece of the peanut butter cheesecake for my friend's birthday. She also put a birthday candle on the cheesecake for her. Little gestures like that are the best. The cheesecake was delicious! It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. It had a good amount of chocolate on top. There were pieces roasted peanuts in the cheesecake that added a nice crunchy texture to it. It's a must have. Lattitude 45 was packed when we were leaving. Clearly they are doing something right. Service was great. The venue is beautiful. They produce good food. I'm happy we got to check this joint out and celebrate my friend's birthday here. I don't know when we will ever be back but if we are, we will definitely come back. And hopefully by then lobster manicotti will be on their menu!

Unfortunately, the Main Event here isn't getting food to your table. The front-of-house ignores the ding when the orders up; you stare idly at food that might be yours, but nobody is picking it up, nobody is delivering it to your table, and it ends up there later, cold. After complaining about something completely avoidable, the servers take it back to the kitchen, not realizing you are right there listening: Server: They say it's cold Cook: That's because it was sitting there forever I'm guessing this is just a gift for people passing through who maybe don't tip well. Sorry, I live one town over. My tip was good because I don't rip off servers, but given how bad your service was, think about how much better that tip might have been if you had exercised any care whatsoever. For the cooks, keep doing what you are doing, hope someone gets to appreciate it.

I ordered a variety of blizzards and the performance varied throughout them. 3 of which were brownie bladder and they was a little runny but the chocolate and overall flavor was decent, I rate this a 7.658/10. Moving onto the Superman cake batter blizzard, the sprinklers were not quite sprinkling and it was an off shade of blue, it was more teal and I was hoping for a little bit more of an ocean blue. The flavor was great but the presence and overall ambience was off putting 8/10. The Reese's was an 8.2/10, it was a little nutty. Heavy on the pieces, lacking other reeces. Finally, Cotton candy 10/10, the animal cookies ground up, reminded me of roadkill.
