I came to Burger Bar on a friend's recommendation. When they said they filled their burgers with cheese, I thought it was going to be like a Shack Stack from Shake Shack, where they fill a portobello mushroom with mozzarella, but much to my surprise, they literally pump their patty with pizza mozzarella.
I had their signature molten cheese burger, and it was quite the sensory experience. The burger patty itself was well seasoned, the brioche buns, soft and light. Bacon was slightly crunchy while still retaining some moisture to it, and the sauce complemented the dish very nicely. The cheese was nice and stringy, though seeing as the patty was well seasoned, a stronger tasting cheese may be a better choice to stuff the patty with.
Their sides were also solid. With my friend we had a full order of the fried shrimp and onion rings, both of which was served with mayonnaise on the side. The portions could probably be a little bigger, but I'm very happy overall with the quality.
This is definitely a nice artisanal burger place that you could treat yourself to every now and then without breaking the bank. read more
