Outstanding burgers and service! But I'm not into the homemade ketchup at all. It's really sweet and watery. Ketchup (like mayo) is just one of those things that's not worth doing homemade, because it takes way too much effort and trial and error to end up with a good product, when you can just buy other ketchup and be done with it, and that's what your mouth and everyone else's is used to anyway. Bring your own packets or small plastic container if you require mainstream ketchup with your fries and burgers. Wow. So glad we decided to check this place out. Super tasty, easy to park, reasonably priced and did I mention...tasty? The place is small so try to go on a week night, we went on a Tuesday night and it was a great time. My only reason for 4 stars, and this is me being a bit of a six year old, no regular ketchup for fries. There's was good, but I'm a simple chick, sometimes I like to Heinz it up. I had a chicken buff n stuff with avocado added as I'm not a red meat eater, (other reason for no fifth star) I would've loved to see a turkey burger on the menu, but the chicken breast was delightful. Came here to grab a bite to eat before satisfying our nostalgia video gaming urge at Galloping Ghost Arcade based on it's location to the arcade (0.6 miles) and other Yelp reviews. We got there probably around 12:30 on a Saturday & the place was fairly busy. VERY eclectic/edgy inside with burnt orange walls, local artists paintings and painted skateboards (for sale, mind you) adorning the walls. They also have about 15-20 tables all with dark wood finishes. We were quickly greeted by our waitress, Stacy and were given the option to sit wherever we'd like, so we took a bar height table up against the wall since I like sitting at that height, being slightly taller than average at 6'2. We were given the menus, which were essentially a one page document (front & back) with some very tasty, edgy choices. The menu matched the decor essentially with some edgy/eclectic but great options. They have a decent craft beer selections, nice variety of their own mixed drinks, regular fountain pop & some craft pops for lack of a better term. Knowing we were going to an arcade, I opted for a Diet Coke (shocking I know, if you've read my reviews). Kelly went with a Caramelized Bacon cream soda. After perusing the menu, I figured I gotta dance with the girl that brought me. They have about 8 house special burgers & then you can make your own. One thing I didn't like was if you make your own burger, everything costs extra (ketchup, mustard, lettuce, etc). I get it since it's all house made but c'mon. Standard burger condiments should be free. I went with their 4 cheese cheeseburger with provolone, pepper jack, muenster & fried mozzarella and fries. Kelly went with Buff N Bleu Burger, essentially a bacon & bleu cheese burger with choice of mild or hot buffalo sauce and fries. While we waited for our food, Stacy would come by & chat, see how we were doing, etc. She was outstanding the whole time. Drinks were never empty, She was very friendly. When we said we were new, she told us what was great on the menu, told us portions were larger than average, etc. She made the experience even better for us. The burgers came out about 30 minutes after we ordered. We were a little put off by the wait since it wasn't that crowded when we arrived & it's only a 9 oz burger & fries. Thankfully, the burgers were WELL worth the wait!! Cooked to perfection on a pretzel bun that was a thinner pretzel bun than we're used to seeing, extremely flavorful, etc. I inhaled mine in about 4 nanoseconds....which is slow for me. I wanted to savor the experience. It was awesome. Kelly said hers was VERY good as well. There were big hunks of bleu cheese, bacon was very flavorful & thick, buffalo sauce was just right. To us, the burgers were remarkably similar, both in size & taste, to Kuma's Corner and priced about the same, if not cheaper. Given the edginess/attitude in both the decor & the menu, it made us wonder if a disgruntled Kuma's employee/cook worked there. The fries were hand cut & excellent. Fried just right, still potatoey, soft yet with some crunch at times, salty...yum!! The fries came with their home made ketchup. It was good, but I'd have liked it a bit less sweet, a bit thicker and served warm. It came out cold. Since my meal was finished in about 20 nanoseconds (4 for the burger, 16 for the fries since there were alot), I waited for Kelly to finish her meal. As she noshed on her fries, there was a hair connecting 2 fries. Didn't stop her from finishing the fries, other than follically-attached two. When we asked for our check, we made a point to tell Stacy about the hair. She apologized profusely, went back to discuss with the manager & they gave us 15% off our bill, which was fine by us. As we waited for our check, a pair of guys at the table next to us ordered their maple bacon donut. O....M....G! It looked AWESOME and was huge. Stacy came back with our check & we asked about it. She said they ARE awesome, made of a funnel cake batter and one of their top sellers. The guys said they were $5 but WELL worth it. Since we were full of burger, pops & fries, we said we'd get that next time. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience for us, hair fries notwithstanding. It's not a 5 star rating but a solid 4.5. It was VERY similar, quality wise, to a Kuma's Corner just without the heavy metal music. (which I'm a fan of) Good price point, very good service, etc. We will most definitely be back when we're in the area! read more

We've been waiting for this place to open, as we are huge burger and fries people and there's just not a great burger place close by in Brookfield. I stopping in for takeout for the first time today, and we are sold! We both built our own burgers, and they were delicious! Juicy, thick, cooked perfectly, and not overpowered with a ton of seasoning, which some places tend to do. Everything was super fresh, and their in-house ketchup is amazing! The only reason I don't give them five stars is that it seemed the fries were cooked too soon for the meal, so they weren't super hot and just a little limp. I'm sure they will work out any of the minor kinks people have mentioned as they get their footing. Definitely give them a try! We're so excited to have a burger joint walking distance from home! read more

Hello Delicious! Who would ever guess the best burger around is in Brookfield? I was very impressed with all the food! It was fresh, made on site, and worth the trip! I had the bbq bacon burger with coleslaw for the side. Very impressed that they offer a gluten free bun! My sister had the black and blue burger on a pretzel bun with fries. Second time eating here, first time was not too long after it opened. The first time was good, no issues. We got takeout today and WOW what a change! I got home after picking up our order (literally 2 minutes away), and the food was luke-warm at best. Cold or warm fries suck.....period. The prices have definitely gotten worse. How do you charge $13.00 for a black bean and rice burger? I could maybe see that for the Angus beef if that's what it really is. The wings were ok but I have most definitely have had better. I'm sorry but for 1 burger (beef) 6 wings , the black bean and rice burger and an order of fried pickles for $45.00, it should've been WAY better! Had heard a lot of good things about this place and decided to do it for a kid-free date night. It was smaller than I anticipated and we were seated at a small table a little too close to the couple next to us, but the food makes up for the lack of seating. My wife had the BBQ bacon burger and raved about it and I made my own burger. Large, flavorful, juicy (but not greasy), I had no complaints whatsoever! We each had a beer from their craft beer selection and enjoyed those as well. A little pricey ($47 for two people including tip) but well worth it in my opinion! read more

Very good! I had the slider combo...the Black Bean and Rice patty was delicious! My husband had the Hercules special ordered medium. He did not read the descriptions provided or he would have ordered it well done. I would have considered it medium rare, so do pay attention to the menu. Hand cut fries were very good. Decor is cute but room is loud with bare walls and floors and nothing to muffle the acoustics. All age clientele, which is nice. We went w/my best friend-she loves hamburgers and we are always looking for a good hamburger spot. This place was not very big-but it was nice. It was not crowded when we went and I am not sure if it ever gets really packed w/people since it is so small. The burgers were fat! I ordered the bbq bacon cheddar burger and it came on a pretzel bun-which was pretty good. The burger and fries came out hot and fresh and they were very good. Not much glam to this place-the burgers speak for themselves. My friend liked this place better than back alley burger in LaGrange. I have been here a few times before, but the food and service have slowly deteriorated. The last visit may have been my last. I ordered a burger, which came with fries or coleslaw. I asked if there was any way to sub a salad, I was told no by the very interested waiter. There are salads on the menu, so I was really confused why I couldn't get one, even got an extra cost which I was willing to pay for. The stuffed mushrooms were swimming in oil (appetizer) and the burger meat had some large, hard pieces of fat in it that could not easily be chewed. The cole slaw is very sweet, so sweet that my diabetic diet couldn't take it. So, it sat on the table with the gross half eaten burgers, and the waiter didn't inquire if our meal was ok or anything. I could only drink water and iced tea here. They have a very nice selection of craft sodas, though they do not carry any diet varieties (which I know several of the manufacturers do make them). To top it off, in the middle of our appetizer, a large party arrived and loudly talked over our table to the waiter about what they would do with our table once we left (put two tables together). So on top of this, they literally could not get the table turned over fast enough. If they don't want my business, I guess I don't have to give it to them. The beer and whiskey list look great and my partner liked the choices. But, there are other good lists at other places within walking distance who willv welcome your business instead! read more

I am not a burger fan and this place was eye opening. Think of a better less "I'm too cool for you" Kuma's. The burger toppings aren't as crazy as Kuma's but they are high quality. The food is fantastic. Delicious burgers and hand-cut fries. Their homemade ketchup is okay, some people really like it. I usually bring my own Red Gold ketchup, and they don't mind at all. I would rate Burger Antics higher if there was better seating and/or takeout. The building is really small, and the tables leave something to be desired.
