I started coming here 3 years ago as a beginner and I've since made this part of my daily routine. The workouts are challenging, but scalable to suit any skill level. The coaches are helpful and make classes fun. Ryan is an awesome owner who really cares. He asks us for input and is always looking for ways to improve our experience and the facility. I've been a member of this gym for a few years now. I initially joined because I was super annoyed with the big box gyms. My gym time is limited and almost all of my time was spent looking for 2 of the same dumbbells OR waiting for someone to finish talking on their phone at one of the machines. At Open Gym, I don't have to worry about looking for weights or equipment AND the people in attendance are there to actually work out. What makes coming here even better is the fact that I don't have to think about the programming. All of that is taken care of by Coach Ryan and his staff. If all of that wasn't enough, the staff has a wealth of knowledge about fitness and our physical bodies. I dislocated my knee about a year ago and they adjusted all of the workouts so I could heal properly but still maintain my fitness level. read more

Fantastic coaches who are so supportive and interested in helping you reach your strength goals. I've loved going here!

This facility is hands down A1. The coaching is impeccable and it's well thought out. The environment is great and the members are welcoming/encouraging. Furthermore, Órale is practically the only gym that I know that cleans the equipment after each use. The clean ones is immaculate. If classes are not your preference, you could always come during open gym hours and use the great equipment. read more

I've been coming to Open Gym for about 5 years and aside from it being an awesome community, my fitness has improved greatly. I came to Open Gym after suffering a pretty serious injury from working out. Ryan assisted me in the rehab process. He is a wealth of knowledge and really great at explaining how to actually do more difficult movements. Ryan is the type of guy who believes in the process and does not want to set you up for failure. If you find success in your fitness journey, then he wins too. Also the location is always clean, the equipment is always in good working order, and everyone is really nice. read more

Been coming to OG crossfit Orale wanna say since he open the doors. N I love coming here! Is like a second home Everyone is very welcoming, not intimidating like other gym. Coach Ryan is an amazing trainer! He is well educated and knowledgeable in what he does (cross fit ,weight training, personal training )The Cross Fit class sizes are small which I like so you can get the attention you deserve and he takes the time to make sure your form is correct. he's always watching even when u don't think he's watching he is. His main concern is that we don't get hurt a quality u don't see in many trainers. He always makes sure you are warmed up for whatever comes our way each day! N explains step by step so you understand the movements n don't get hurt!! I love him as a coach and a friend never change! Thank you Ryan! read more

Coach Ryan leads the gym and is really great at making everyone feel included, no matter their fitness level or body type. I joined CrossFit Orale at The beginning of April and I am so happy that I did! This place is seriously awesome. Coaches Ryan & Bryan are both amazing coaches and they are a perfect example of what a true coach should be!! The way they explain the movement's technique, their attention to details, being able to spot your movement's flaws and correct them using effective cues & tips are what you look for a coach!! The training program is amazing too, it focuses on improving technique and building strength and conditioning. Its only being a month since I joined but my strength increased, my stamina is getting better, I hit 4 PRs in one month. That shows that having great coaches with great programming makes all the difference in the world in achieving your fitness goals. So If its your first time Crossfit training or you are changing boxes, CrossFit Orale is a great place for you to start with or to continue your CrossFit journey. You'll be coached by knowledgeable experienced coaches using an effective program in supportive, inspiring and nonjudgmental environment. read more

I've been doing CrossFit for just over a year & joined Órale at the beginning of June. I live two blocks from another gym but make the drive to Burbank for many reasons, but the two Cs are top of the list. Coaching & Community. Coach Ryan is a master of his craft. His book knowledge matches his coaching knowledge & experience. He explains and demonstrates the movements and workouts, goes through scaling options (I am currently injured & have still been able to participate in every class) and his attention during the class is unmatched. He gives verbal & non-verbal cues which make a huge difference every time. His programming is rock solid & every workout ends with me feeling like I worked hard & made progress towards my goals. (Oh, and the playlists during workouts are FIRE) Then comes Community. Ryan has built an incredible community at Órale. I was welcomed warmly on my first day, and everyone in the gym said hi & introduced themselves. They are friends in the gym and out of the gym. Everyone is really nice; encouraging during workouts and ready with high fives & fist bumps when it's all over! At the end of the day, if we're going to suffer through a workout, it may as well be with friends & a coach who make it fun, no matter how miserable the work is! The gym is clean & well equipped. I am a clean freak & it makes me happy knowing that the place is kept clean, that the brand new gear is kept clean & taken care of. Not many CrossFit gyms have the culture of wiping down sweaty gear when you're done & putting everything back in it's place - Órale does. I could go on & on (like how epic the Órale merch is) but hopefully what I wrote above is sufficient for you to make the decision to drop in & join us for a couple classes and see if you want to join our family! Don't let your perception of CrossFit or what you see online & hear via the grapevine deter you from stopping by, no matter you fitness level or age, you will be able to jump in, have fun & sweat! read more

One of the best boxes I have been to. The coaching is amazing and they are extremely attentive to each of their athletes. The community is extremely friendly and laid back and everyone is just in there to get a good workout in. All of the weights and barbells are in pristine condition and the owner makes sure to keep it that way! There are a variety of different classes ranging from booty focused work or a class designated specifically to working on your barbell technique. Love this place! read more

I've been doing Crossfit for about 4 years on and off and Have never been to a Crossfit gym like this one! Coach Ryan is amazing. He knows his stuff and I have learned so much in the past 6 months and I feel great. He corrects every mistake And teaches you in a way that you can understand, which is great because I'm a slow learner. The ppl at the gym are great- no bad vibes, no cliques (like your typical Crossfit gym). I can honestly say this gym is by far the best gym in the L.A. area!! read more

Compared to the other CrossFit boxes I've gone to, this one is on the side of the spectrum of knowledgeable coaches that care if you get injured and want to make sure you're doing it right. I'm in the best shape of my life thanks to these guys. It's been 5 months into the CrossFit journey and I am hooked! I checked out just one other gym before joining here. The minute I walked in and met coach Ryan I knew it would be my new home. I loved the vibe right away. It's a small gym with a tight knit family atmosphere. Everyone is cool, supportive, fun and welcoming. No egos. Ryan and Brian are amazing coaches, taking the time to give everyone personalized attention and training. The programming is great for all levels. I'm an ex-athlete who's always worked out and still get challenged and pushed here. If this isn't commitment and knowledge I don't know what is! I was lucky enough to train under Ryan for years and be one of the first members to his new gym. CrossFit Órale wasn't even my second home, it WAS MY HOME! I'm pretty sure my son took some of his first steps there. My only reason for leaving was due to moving out of state with my family. No matter the distance Ryan continues to do anything and everything he can to help my wife and I achieve our fitness goals. Not only is he a call/text away for questions, his knowledge and COMMITMENT to his craft is evident in his coaching. Thank you Ryan and the CrossFit Órale family!!!!!!! read more

This gym has everything you need. The coaching is amazing. I have to say when your coach has the most perfect form and is able to guide you on technique, it's amazing. He practices what he teaches, he has a keen eye to look at what work needs to be done in his athletes. One thing I love most is he is about safety, technique, mechanics before pushing you to lift heavier which is what most gyms now do. He wants your body safe first and foremost. I came with an injury from a previous gym and coach Ryan knew how to guide me back to recovery and back to lifting weights with better form! Love this gym! Best gym in Burbank! read more

After 5 + yrs. of trying out different gyms and programming I can honestly say I have finally found THE gym which makes me look forward to working out. I attend the 6:00 pm class regularly and just love coach Ryan's method of teaching technique and mobility with emphasis on safety above all. Since starting, I've witness him tailor workouts to the attendees' individual level of fitness. Whether it's your first time touching a barbell or you're an experienced lifter, through his guidance you achieve the same amount of stimulus. Now, if you're not interested in barbell workouts you MUST try Saturday's Abs & Ass class. Trust me, after one class, you feel the burn. read more

One of the best gyms I've gone to. Whether you go to open gym or a class coaches Ryan and Bryan are available to help with your technique and any questions you might have. The programming is top notch they focus heavily on the right technique for the lifts, not how much you can lift. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to step up their fitness game. read more

Ryan and Bryan are not only amazing coaches but have a plethora of knowledge that they aren't afraid to share whether you're taking class or, like me, in open gym doing individual programming. Where to begin..... I've known Coach/Owner Ryan Felix for a few years now, and when he told me that he was going to be opening his own Crossfit gym I knew it was goin to be something special. Ryan loves what he does. You can definitely tell by just waking into the gym. He maintains all the equipment, floor space, and restroom clean and organized. His knowledge is so vast, he knows how breakdown every and any movement. He makes all movements easy to learn and less intimidating. No matter what time the class is whether it's 6am or 7pm, he greets you with a HUGE SMILE which is inviting and addicting. CROSSFIT ORALE is different from other gyms because the people that go there are just the best. Everyone is energetic, very friendly, and always giving maximum effort. I encourage anyone and everyone to come sign-up, or to drop-in. You will not be dissatisfied. I Live in Valencia, Ca and I don't mind driving there everyday. I love this place. Open Gym Home of CrossFit Orale is Home for me now. Left my other CrossFit gym because I can honestly say, I can totally trust Ryan with the programming he offers. He carefully LISTENS and watches ALL his clients when he trains us. He is always walking around the gym floor correcting and "fixing" posture, stance and positions from the most complex OLY lifts down to the basic pushup, sit up and other basic movements. He has all the "paperwork" for his resume, but I would have to say, you will need to drop in and take a class or two to see for yourself on how he coaches, you won't be disappointed. read more
