F45 Training Burbank - Dumbbells and pull-up bars
    Sharon H.

Always a killer workout with F45 Training! I've been to the Alhambra location a few times, but wanted to switch up the scenery this time. I booked "High Rollers" with Shannon and Michael through Classpass and felt the burn in my core the following day. Michael was motivating and encouraging. Doors opened at 5:15 PM and class began at 5:30 PM. Shannon's pup greeted us at the door. Shannon gave us a rundown of the workouts before we started our warmup. Workouts had the same format as the Alhambra location. Only difference is, wherever you stand for the warmup is the station you'll begin the workout. This location didn't provide towels or a cooldown stretch after the class. They have two individual gender neutral, clean restrooms with thoughtful amenities, such as hair ties. Cubbies are located in the front of the class to store your belongings. Water refill station is located in the back, next to the restrooms. Parking was hard to find behind F45, but I found parking across the street on the rooftop. Parking is free, which is a plus!

Went from a class pass. Did a Saturday 60 min class which I guess is different from their usual 45 min class. I forgot the trainers name but he was amazing. Fixed form and really walked around to explain and help! You don't always get that in a group class. I'd like to go back and experience some of the other classes they offer. All members were very nice and inviting for my first time. I was SORE the next day!

I originally chose to edit and take this part out of my original review, but after reading through the replies and noticing how some things are being framed, I think it's important to include the full context. The "high school drama" I referred to isn't about friendships or conversations outside the gym. It's about a coach directly telling me that during the last paid challenge, they knowingly manipulated the results because they didn't like who actually won. That's not just childish It's unethical. People paid to be part of that challenge and worked hard for those results. To change the outcome based on personal bias isn't just unfair, it damages trust. As for the conversation about community, I agree, building a community is hard. And when done right, it can be one of the most powerful parts of a gym. But community should never come at the expense of professionalism or fairness. There's a difference between genuine connection and favoritism, and unfortunately, the line hasn't always been clear. I also want to address the coaching style being described. I completely understand that bringing energy to a group class can be challenging, and when done well, it's inspiring. But there's a big difference between a coach jumping in for a few reps to hype the room and both coaches working out the entire class while new or less experienced members are visibly lost, doing movements incorrectly, and risking injury. That's not motivating, it's unsafe. A coach's job is to lead, correct, and ensure everyone is moving safely. And that should never be compromised for the sake of entertainment or content. And to be clear: I can't be the only one who has noticed these things. I've heard from multiple people who've shared similar concerns. And honestly, I remember not too long ago when classes were consistently sold out, with waitlists and the need to book days in advance. That's changed, and it says something. So while I understand some may want to frame this as a personal issue, it's clearly bigger than that. Maybe after 500 classes, your perspective shifts. Mine certainly did.

Hosted my birthday with my favorite trainers (Armando & Michael) at this f45 location! They exceed my expectations and hosted a fun workout class for my friends and family! Made sure everyone was having fun and all my guests enjoyed it !! Can't thank them enough for an amazing birthday celebration!

Love this gym!!! Coaches are always super motivating! Music is all the vibes and the workouts are awesome to start or end or day with! 10/10

Durressa and all the trainers there REALLY know how to workout!! Every single trainer there is so attentive and they love what they do. It shows. I wouldn't say this has been an easy year. The trainers uplifted me during those times, and that meant a lot to me. Durressa is one of the most genuine humans I have ever met and she really goes out of her way to make members feel special. HCF Burbank challenged me, supported me, and helped me strengthen my mind-body connection. If you want to feel that you are making the most out of your time dedicated to fitness, this gym is a really good fit, especially with how they incorporate cardio and abs into the strength training routine. Absolutely phenomenal amazing trainers and I will have to come back to visit. Thanks yall!!!!

I've…read morebeen a member at Hardcore for over a year, and as someone over 40 who prioritizes strength training, this gym has helped me achieve steady progress. I've gained about half a pound of muscle each month- which I feel like is challenging at my age...but Hardcore has certainly helped me achieved this. Because of them, I can now do 8 unassisted pull-ups and bench press over 200lbs. I also participate in a fitness race called Hyrox, and I credit Hardcore for giving me the literal strength to complete that race. Here are just a few great things I'd like to share about Hardcore: Cleanliness: The gym is impeccably clean. The staff maintains the facility well, with plenty of wipes for members. It's clear that hygiene is a top priority here, which I really appreciate. Equipment: The equipment is top-tier- from the smith machines, to solid racks, and cable machines. I love being able to use all of these things within a class. In addition to this, they have so many dumbbells all the way up to 100lbs, weight plates of all sizes, kettlebells, weight bags, resistance bands, TRX, ab rollers, weight balls, foam rollers, standing punching bags, ez bars, standard and olympic bars, hex trap bars, weight sled, and much more. Community & Staff: The atmosphere is fantastic, thanks to a friendly and welcoming staff that makes everyone feel comfortable and supported (especially the owner Durressa!) The community here is warm and motivating, and it's a place where everyone--from beginners to advanced members--feels welcome. Trainers & Personalization: The coaches are outstanding. They're familiar with my injuries and provide modifications or alternatives for certain exercises. And they always push me within my limits and respect me when I say no. Their support has kept me committed and progressing steadily. Class Structure & Variety: The Boot Camp/LIFT classes are well-structured with five stations, each with 2-3 exercises that come with modifications for different levels. I love the variety! There's also a cardio-focused Fight Camp class and a Booty class, so there's always something to fit my goals. Also, classes are schedule as early as 5:15am and as late as 8:30. Programming: The programming is really well thought-out, with split calendars for targeted workouts. For example, within a week there may be a day focused on back and biceps, another for legs and shoulders, and another for chest and triceps. This structured approach has been fantastic for building balanced strength over time. Community Events & Challenges: The gym hosts community events like spirit days, monthly themes, and 60-day challenges that bring people together for friendly team-based competition. It's a great way to stay engaged and motivated while connecting with others. For anyone looking for a gym that values cleanliness, fosters a positive community, and offers excellent trainers and programming, Hardcore is top-tier. Highly recommended for anyone, regardless of age or fitness level! Stop by to try it out...but make sure to tell them I sent you. =)

And not, it won't make you "bulky" whatever that means. What do I love about this gym, let me count the ways: 1. Semi-private, members only. Keeps the class sizes very small and you get to know the trainers and your classmates. Love the flat fee, monthly pricing for unlimited classes with no minimum commitment. It's hassle free and there's no hard sell to upgrade your class packages or gimmicky sales techniques. Also, fosters a sense of community. 2. The programming. It's such a luxury not to have to think or plan your workouts. We are all suffering from decision fatigue and it's so luxurious not to think. Just leave it up to the professionals and follow instructions and your body will change. 3. The facility - Everybody gets their own squat rack and bench for the hour. No sharing equipment. Everything is clean and wiped down before and after each class. I'm a germaphobe and I truly appreciate not sitting in a pool of a stranger's DNA. It's clean, lovely and there's towel service. 4. Time - Our most precious, non-renewable resource. I love getting a full body workout in an hour. No waiting around for shared equipment. There are so many classes all day to choose from at four different locations throughout the city. 5. The community - The trainers and the other clients are by far, the kindest and most supportive around. An ego-free, a-hole free, judgment-free safe space for all levels of lifters and all ages.
