I would like to preface this review by saying that every member is entitled to their opinion. And that one of the hardest parts of running any business is keeping all of its clients happy But I had noticed something different recently in the vibe of classes but couldn't put my finger on it until I read a recent review pointing out some "negative" issues with the trainers. I'd like to offer a different perspective because I do feel like changes made in policy in reaction to one persons review have now created a downgrade in my experience when coming to this F45 First of all, bringing energy and motivation to group fitness classes is one of the hardest things to do on a daily basis. So when coaches are actively training along side members during classes I feel like it's bringing a level of energy that otherwise can be missing. It's one thing to offer verbal encouragement but another to show it. I know for myself, it lifts my energy level up when coaches are active participants in class. I know I'm giving 110% that day if they're in it with me. Also in regards to dancing and filming during class. Again, it's about perspective. Dancing, is also part of creating energy in the class atmosphere. It's putting smiles on faces when you're struggling thru your workout or your life. Part of having the two coach format, is not so that they can stand on opposite sides of the room and clap their hands. If they are interactive and play off each other, I would consider it a positive thing. Filming often makes it onto social media which helps to promote the business, I'm sure the coaches goal is not to portray themselves on social media as lazy people who are goofing off during work. I think it may be misconstrued that because the coaches are actively participating in classes or finding different ways to motivate or entertain people. That they are somehow "not doing their job" But I find that that's not the case. They're still aware of the clients, giving direction, offering encouragement, and giving corrections on form. I would like to point out that diversity in types of coaches and coaching styles is actually key in the group fitness format. The best way to attract from a larger more diverse client pool is to foster an environment where not every coach feels like the same carbon copy of every other coach that just clocks in and "does the thing" Also to finish. Community, is one of the HARDEST things to build in any gym. And when you're building community then your personal lives outside the gym starts to blend in with members personal lives. So you can call it "drama or high school" but that's what happens when you blend friendships that extend outside the gym. Those friendships are genuine and the time fostering community is always uncompensated, but again add up to memberships that benefit the business. Just because there are conversations had that aren't... wow that Marathon, that was a tough one. Station 3 what a killer. Doesn't mean that that needs to be taken away. Always a killer workout with F45 Training! I've been to the Alhambra location a few times, but wanted to switch up the scenery this time. I booked "High Rollers" with Shannon and Michael through Classpass and felt the burn in my core the following day. Michael was motivating and encouraging. Doors opened at 5:15 PM and class began at 5:30 PM. Shannon's pup greeted us at the door. Shannon gave us a rundown of the workouts before we started our warmup. Workouts had the same format as the Alhambra location. Only difference is, wherever you stand for the warmup is the station you'll begin the workout. This location didn't provide towels or a cooldown stretch after the class. They have two individual gender neutral, clean restrooms with thoughtful amenities, such as hair ties. Cubbies are located in the front of the class to store your belongings. Water refill station is located in the back, next to the restrooms. Parking was hard to find behind F45, but I found parking across the street on the rooftop. Parking is free, which is a plus! read more

Went from a class pass. Did a Saturday 60 min class which I guess is different from their usual 45 min class. I forgot the trainers name but he was amazing. Fixed form and really walked around to explain and help! You don't always get that in a group class. I'd like to go back and experience some of the other classes they offer. I originally chose to edit and take this part out of my original review, but after reading through the replies and noticing how some things are being framed, I think it's important to include the full context. The "high school drama" I referred to isn't about friendships or conversations outside the gym. It's about a coach directly telling me that during the last paid challenge, they knowingly manipulated the results because they didn't like who actually won. That's not just childish It's unethical. People paid to be part of that challenge and worked hard for those results. To change the outcome based on personal bias isn't just unfair, it damages trust. As for the conversation about community, I agree, building a community is hard. And when done right, it can be one of the most powerful parts of a gym. But community should never come at the expense of professionalism or fairness. There's a difference between genuine connection and favoritism, and unfortunately, the line hasn't always been clear. I also want to address the coaching style being described. I completely understand that bringing energy to a group class can be challenging, and when done well, it's inspiring. But there's a big difference between a coach jumping in for a few reps to hype the room and both coaches working out the entire class while new or less experienced members are visibly lost, doing movements incorrectly, and risking injury. That's not motivating, it's unsafe. A coach's job is to lead, correct, and ensure everyone is moving safely. And that should never be compromised for the sake of entertainment or content. And to be clear: I can't be the only one who has noticed these things. I've heard from multiple people who've shared similar concerns. And honestly, I remember not too long ago when classes were consistently sold out, with waitlists and the need to book days in advance. That's changed, and it says something. So while I understand some may want to frame this as a personal issue, it's clearly bigger than that. Maybe after 500 classes, your perspective shifts. Mine certainly did. read more

Staff are great, interactive, inclusive and provide corrections as needed. They have sharp eyes for everyone in class and provide corrections for improving form or making sure we don't hurt ourselves. I think it's really cool when they record people during workouts for their social media content, and motivates me! Another amazing aspect of this gym is the community built by the way the trainers engage and take time outside of their regular shifts. Not only are they showing up rain or shine, they make every class personal and challenging. 10/10 would recommend starting a trial (they run them seasonally!) to find all of this out for yourself!! read more

This gym and these people are the team you want on your side when you want to begin your transformation. Not only have I lost weight and gained definition. I love belonging to some kind of boot camp and CrossFit is a little to high impact for me right now so I joined F45. This is a great change of pace even though the pace is high. It's a great workout and I like the coaches because they keep it fun. Armando has some good jokes and the Asian goddess (I forget her name and I'm sorry) doesn't just yell at you. She does the movement with you so you don't feel like a dummy trying to fix your form. I love that the classes are outside but the hardest part is staring at Don cucos and knowing it's happy hour. Let me start out by saying this business has been very flexible and accommodating during Covid. They were doing workouts at the park and zoom classes in the beginning but now they are doing workouts in their parking lot. Considering they are on the 2nd floor they bring down their equipment down daily. They have many stations, a lot of different equipment to workout on, but their staff.... wow! The trainers are incredible and knowledgeable. Even the clients that come, even if the workouts are tough, everyone is having a great time. I'm dying and definitely not cheering all the time but once I'm done I feel accomplished and full of energy. My life is so busy, so getting a 45 minute sweat sesh in to start my day, makes me feel so much better. Wow, I've done a lot of workouts at a LOT of places (was a ClassPass junkie for years before Covid), and this is such a GREAT concept and very well executed. There are screens with videos showing the different moves, which is SUPER helpful if you're like me and totally forget what you're supposed to do at each station. The trainers there are so supportive and not only cheer you on but come around to correct your moves and motivate you. The workout is different every day, and the resistance training is tough but definitely not impossible like some CrossFit gyms where you're done after the first half of the workout. As someone trying to get back in shape, I appreciate the fact that the workouts are accessible and there are modifications suggested if you can't quite do the move. Also, free parking right next to the studio in the public garage is a HUGE PLUS. I definitely recommend checking it out...there's even a free one-class trial online, so you can't really go wrong! read more
