We just replaced our furnace with them and they were professional every step of the way. They are our first choice for anything heating/cooling. Buyers beware -- company has scam technicians who don't know what they're doing. Came to install a new thermostat which we purchased at retail. Connected the thermostat to electrical BUT DIDN'T CONNECT IT TO THE FURNACE OR AIR CONDITIONER. CHARGED US $480. When I called back, the tech claimed the system didn't work because I got the "wrong" thermostat. Unbelievable. After much arm twisting, they came back and connected it to the HVAC. Rude, arrogant scamsters. Wish I could give them a ZERO. read more

Inexperienced tech came to our house from Burant saying we had a refrigerant leak quoted $800 for 1 pound of 410a and $4000 for a leak check of course I declined got another opinion turned out we have NO leaks and actually was a faulty $100 hpco switch, i would stay far away form Burant heating and cooling read more

Update: after some back and forth Burant agreed to refund me part of what I paid. Their service tech gets a 4/5 for his service, only deducting a point because they never mentioned that it could be more cost effective to get a new furnace. Their customer service gets a 2/5 for this instance; they were polite and I assume in any other instance they would have been very helpful with any other issue. It was just very tough to get them to actually issue a refund rather than use their "repairer's remorse" program or give me a credit on my account. read more

Terminating my maintenance contract today with Burant as well as any future referrals to the company! I Needed a part replaced in the furnace that was still under warranty So the part was covered by warranty, but not labor. They do not charge an hourly rate for labor but labor is charged by the job. when calculated out I was charged approx $850 an hour! Only choose Burant if you are prepared to be overcharged for repairs. Also I was not told till Today I would be charged a 3% fee for using a credit card since it was over $1k, so had to write a check. read more

Hired in Dec 2016 for simple job of adding returns to our bedrooms to relieve some stuffiness and balance our heating system a bit better. Were very unhappy at the time as they tracked mud all over our house and did not clean up. Also kicked a hole in one of our walls without even mentioning it. Started sleeping with our bedroom door closed lately and noticed it was still very uncomfortable in our bedroom. Looked and the return damper was closed. It wouldn't open. Removed the cover from the wall and saw it wouldn't open because there was a joist right behind it (they must have discovered this when opening the wall and just ran with it). Looked closer and they didn't even run ducts to this return, it just opens to our basement below (same was done with an adjoining bedroom). I get that letting air flow out of the room helps somewhat, but we requested returns. And even so, the lazy hole in the wall doesn't help much if you can't open the damper. So what did we pay $500 for? Someone to come make a mess of our house requiring a few hours of cleaning, the need to patch drywall, a hole cut into our wall and some $10 return covers. I want them to fix their mistakes, but also never want to see them in my house again and am worried about what further damage and mistake could result. read more

Burant was recommended to me by a friend after I bought my duplex in May of 2019 and I was having problems with the 3 year old central air in both the upper AND the lower. They came to take a look and then did the repair work, which ended up costing me over $1k. Both units were leaking, so I opted to do the no-guaranty sealant. The service guy that came and then subsequently came back to do the maintenance on both furnaces and the central air was great - he checked the warranty information and added a dye to the units to be able to find if the leaks were being caused by coils (which would have been covered by warranty - just the part...not the labor). When the guy came back to do the maintenance on the central air some months later, he was able to see that the unit for the upper was, in fact, a warranty coil issue because he could see the dye in the tube. So we decided that we would schedule the work to be done in spring since it was already heating weather. Fast forward to spring...granted - this is not a normal spring with the pandemic - I hear nothing from them about getting this work done. So I called Burant....spoke to Customer Service and found out my guy is no longer with the company. BOOO. So I explained the whole thing to the CS person and they were unable to locate any of this in the notes on my account. They said they would look into it and call me back. Weeks later, no call...no emails. So I called again...had to go through the entire story again. Still no information available....I was told I'd have to speak to the owner directly. They left him a message to call me. Weeks go by...no calls from Burant. We are now in cooling months so I'm getting antsy because my warranty is done after this year. So I call again...have to tell the entire story AGAIN....left word for owner to call me back. This time I had them ALSO give me a time for me to call when I'd be able to actually reach him. After a few more weeks go by, I'm actually able to connect with the owner - and color me less than impressed by this arrogant, smug man. He was flippant, he was unprepared for my call (hadn't reviewed my account, hadn't been briefed on the issue, nothing), and I walked away from that conversation feeling more frustrated. I had to explain the ENTIRE STORY to him YET AGAIN. 3/4 of the way through, he seemed to suddenly recollect that he had been told about this...he cuts me off, he says "yeah sure - we can fix it, but if you aren't going to do the maintenance, I'm not sure why you're going to bother with this." I was well aware the labor was going to be pricey, but I was FLOORED that this was the way he was talking to me - because...if he had checked my account, I actually AM enrolled in their maintenance program to have annual maintenance done on both my upper and lower HVAC....I pay monthly for this service. So - I politely corrected him and he smugly shrugged me off & said he'd have to send a guy to check the serial numbers to obtain the warranty information. After all of that, the work was finally completed in August - however, I was at work and let them know they would have to call me to get the payment. They never called, and according to my tenants, they were only there a little over an hour to do maintenance AND replace the coil. My previous guy always emailed me the diagnostics after doing maintenance along with any receipts - so I remarked to my tenant last week that it was odd I never received an invoice or ANYTHING from Burant after they completed the work. Today I get a nasty email from them saying they have been trying to contact me "several time"s to get the $764 labor payment and that I have never responded. Not only was this false since that was the FIRST TIME they had contacted me since the day they arrived to do the work....they insulted me with the mere suggestion. This was LITERALLy the first I was seeing the invoice. So - needless to say - I DO NOT recommend this company. They are NOT GOOD - they guy that left was awesome. I hired this company to install a new furnace. I choose the more expense model because of a promised $750.00 rebate. I was told the rebate would take 6-8 weeks. It's been 9 months and I still haven't received my rebate. I contacted the office on multiple occasions and was told they would check on it and call me back with an update. They have NEVER called me back. NO one has bothered to explain anything and when asked for the number to contact the rebate company directly it was not provided. I've called at least 5 times and have been told the same thing over and over "we are checking on it and will provide you with any update". I just contact the BBC so hopefully something will happen. read more

Had Burant Heating & Air Conditioning diagnose our ac issue, Tyler (same last name as the company name) said we needed a new circuit board and capacitor, said he had a new board on the truck. Oops, the one on the truck doesn't work, would have to order one. So he rigged the fan so it would stay running (without the capacitor he said we needed) regardless of where the thermostat was set. Then tried talking my wife into a $375 duct cleaning. Hmmm, let's get the ac right first. The fan stopped working the next day. Called them back. A day later a different person, came over. He looked at it and said; "Who was in here, your fan is loose and wedged against the side of the housing and burning hot". Claimed the set screw holding the fan to the shaft was loose. Another Burant employee was in there, thats who!! Now if it was truly stuck and burning hot, the circuit breaker should have tripped. Interesting how the fan allegedly came loose after turning fine for 16 years without making any noise hitting the housing at the time it mysteriously came loose. He then installed the new circuit board and capacitor, got everything working. Although the workmanship was sloppy, tangled wires and the new capacitor was zip tied to a wire to hold it in place. We did discuss a new furnace and they would apply a portion of the repair towards that. When the fan stopped working 2 days later, I thought these guys are clearly not the right folks for us. Expensive lesson learned yes, however I didn't want the aggravation of trying to get them to get it right when it was obvious they weren't capable. I was at work during all this so my account is based phone conversations with the person Burant sent over during his visit and with what the receipts say, oh and we had to ask for them 3 times. First time Burant Jr said they would email them, they didn't, had to call 2 more times. So we ended up getting some recommendations and found someone who explained everything in an easy understand way. They got everything working properly, completely checked over everything including the outside ac compressor. Cost was half of Burant and quality of work twice as good. read more

My furnace decided it didn't want to work one day on a Sunday afternoon. I was frantic. I thought to myself, "Who can I even find to come out on a Sunday afternoon and not charge a crazy-high fee." I called Burant Heating & Air Conditioning. The customer service was outstanding. They had a tech out to me in less than an hour! The technician was extremely friendly, and assured me he would have my furnace back up an running in no time..... and he did! And even better, the charges for someone to come out on a Sunday afternoon to fix it was reasonable and WAAAAAY lower than I had expected! He told me exactly what the problem was and even showed it to me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience from a company. Burant Heating and Air Conditioning went above and beyond that day and were very attentive to everything they did. Great job!!
