Repeat customer to this location in Frankfort. Mainly using drive thru which has always been fairly fast and efficient! I use the mobile app and order before heading over :-) The Chicago style hotdog have all the usual trimmings and carry a great size compared to similar offerings from the local Joeys locations. The fries are on the thicker size, but nice and crunchy on the outside, just right! The milkshakes are thick and the chocolate ones correctly mixed. I have tried their salads and Nashville chicken sandwich, all good. Their prices might be a tad on the high side compared to others in this space, but the quality is there. I'll be back to try more of their menu! read more

Two cheeseburgers ordered at 7. They were done when I went to window to pay. They took burgers and threw them through the flame again to warm them bc they were charred black. Super disappointing. Girl at window was sweet. read more

Ordered two beefs one they forget the peppers the other hardly any meat on it. it was basically a bread sandwich I never thought I had to check the meat on a beef.I hate Portillo's but I don't have to ask where's the beef. read more

It's meh. Not our favorite place to eat. Too greasy. The food is okay and our order seems to never come out right. The staff seems great though. Nice and hardworking. The restaurant ambiance is quiet mostly and clean. They do run out of soda and there are times it takes a while to get someone to change it out. This has happened three times. Overall not our favorite place to eat at. read more

This specific Buona, and this specific visit, was the absolute worst Italian beef I've ever had in my entire life. Food costs way too much to be that bad. $18 dollars for some hot cheese and a Dr peppers basically. Everything else was terrible. read more

What exactly is this? I bought a large beef. A regular beef and the sandwiches have absolutely no beef in them. Ridiculous go to Johnny's beef that's worth the drive read more

Their Italian sausage has a slight kick to it.. It's not mild like Portillo's. Buona Beef has a better beef samich, too! read more

Food is always made fresh to order. Comes out hot and ready. Service is always great.

Delicious! We really enjoyed the Italian beef & sausage in Combo Meals. Elcellent staff too, super clean

Yesterday was the last time I will be buying their products, for the last two times I have purchased their beef sandwiches both times it has been like overdone beef or Basically it was old beef read more

My husband raved I would like this beef sand which since I have yet to enjoy one. To me the ones I had tried were mushy. Strictly a texture thing for me. Not this one! I enjoyed the flavor of the beef as well as the 'firmness' of the meat. I had it made the Rizzo way with provolone and red sauce with sweet peppers. I also tried the Parmesan chips which weren't bad either as I am not a kettle chip fan. Yeah, that texture thing again. I snuck a few of his fries and they were good as well! They serve beer and wine, bring your food to you as well as pick up your trash so that was nice. We sat in the comfy chairs but they had regular wood with a cushion. Outdoor seating as well. Cheery atmosphere with all the bright orange decor. Now when he wants a beef sandwich we will have a place to go that we will both enjoy! read more

Food was very greasy and over seasoned. It is also very very expensive and I won't be back.

Oh, my goodness! The vegan beef is soooo good! And the fries...yum! A new fave for sure. I'll be coming back!

Had the Chicago dog first time trying it here. Really good better than I expected.tge service was good and fast.

Best Salads Ever! Ingredients are so fresh! Also much better beef sandwiches than Portillo's!

Not worth the money because they do not put much beef on the sandwich. Happened three straight times, so no mas Buonas. Adios friends.

Great beef sandwiches, the best ever . The coleslaw is good also. Try the Parmesan chips. read more

I hate this place but love the food. Every time I go into the drive through, I wait and wait. Today, after 18 minutes of waiting for a hot dog, fries and potato salad, I had enough. Went inside and asked for my money back. How do I know I waited 18 minutes? Because the dickhead cashier told me I only waited that long. That dickhead last me as a customer forever. Good job! read more

My husband has been waiting for this to open ever since the first sign went up. We got back from vacation and lo and behold, it was open. It is constantly busy here, the lot is full and people flock to this restaurant. We had to try it. We went online and ordered but it was really slow and hard to use. Upon arrival, sure enough they had not gotten the online. The manager was on it in a minute and even comped the salad. I had a meatball sandwich with cheese and split a Caesar salad with my husband. Both were good. I would come back. I am just not sure I would order online! read more

First, let me say that this is NOT a staffing issue nor is it a food issue. I used the mobile app to place my order. Due to my current stage in life, I'm eligible for a discount on my drink ($.55 discount. Woo hoo!). I pick up my order and there's no drink cup. I mention that I paid for a drink and she shows that the ticket makes no mention of that item. No need to argue. Just won't use app for any "specials". 7/8/19: Got $2 off to try their turkey avocado sandwich. The person making the sandwich was off doing something else and had to be asked where my sandwich was. Now there's a bunch of activity and my sandwich is ready. I drive for 30 minutes, decide to stop and eat my sandwich and 1 piece of bread was seriously stale. I'm not talking about just a bit. I mean HARD. How does she not recognize this? I'm done with this location. read more

I first went to this place and told myself that it wasn't anything special. But now I have been back a half dozen times and find myself satisfied after every visit. We enjoy the italian beef sandwiches and the salads. A trip for two will usually run 20$ and includes everything to keep you full. This location sometimes gets busy and the parking is sometimes tight in the back. I am sure it will only get worse when all of the new store fronts are filled. They offer inside and outside seating with table delivery and cleanup. read more

Buona - 7" Italian beef meal - Sandwiches Near Me - Frankfort, Illinois

No hot pepper or juice on the side. Grrrr love this place but nothing worse than coming home to disappointment.

I've been sleeping on this place. First time stopping by. The best buffalo chicken salad on the southside. Hands-down. I'll be back!

The food was good and the order was almost correct. Two kids meals were supposed to have apple juice. Two empty cups were provided with the order. There was no apple juice in the drink dispenser. So I had to juggle a shopping bag, pizza and 2 drinks. I substituted lemonade.. My biggest beef (haha) is there is no way for them to bring the order to the car. The employees are carrying out all the drive through orders but on line orders have to go in and get their own. What was the tip for?!!! You cannot call a live body on their automated phone system! Needless to say, I think I'll go to Enricos next time. read more

This review is strictly about the drive up service. If you don't feel like working STAY HOME!! The young lady doing the drive thru made us feel like we were interrupting her watching her favorite show. Her tone of voice was awful. I'll guarantee you she thinks she deserves a higher wage. I say NO!!! read more

Good treating beef sandwich, just very light on the beef! Many other better value sandwiches in the area.

I'm not sure what is going there in the past few weeks. (Today is Oct. 6, 2021) My husband stops there regularly on his way home from work and always orders Two, 10" beef sandwiches, dipped, one with peppers and one plain. The sandwiches have been great, with plenty of beef. Three weeks ago, I decided to try a beef/sausage combo with cheese....very disappointed when he came home with 2 beef sandwiches. Tried again yesterday, Oct. 5, 2021, and the order was correct, however, the sausage was OVERCOOKED and DRY, and there was ONE slice of dry beef on it! ONE SLICE!!! It was so nasty! read more

I love Italian beef, I love Italian sausage, I love a good combo. Buona makes a good combo. For $8 though I would expect a little more than a few slices of beef and the sausage to be as big as the bread. First 2 bites were mostly bread. I also like their pizzas which are made to order. read more

Their drive through is not a drive through. It's a sit and wait 20 minutes through. Every car had to pull up (8-9 cars) sitting waiting for their food. Very unorganized, workers wandering around aimlessly bc there's so many cars waiting. Girl drove in front of us in the line and it was all just messed up. Also very expensive might I add. (Workers we're very kind, I know this is above them) Edit: they forgot my peppers I paid extra for. Lovely read more

I just drove here from home to order a special burger that was highly recommended . Very disappointed because we asked for it (both) to be cut in half ! Mainly because we are eating like animals in my Cadillac!! My burger was warm NOT hot after waiting 10 min in line !! My wife's chicken was Hot that's why they got two stars!! Would have drove right thru again... scared of a re due!!! Won't be back however very bad burger ! Wife liked her chicken sandwich read more

I ordered the beef & was very disappointed. My first 3 bites were no meat just bread. My beef had literally no meat, total rip off. Who wants a dipped bread sandwich for $8? Not me!! The beef would have been a decent sandwich if they weren't so cheap with the meat. Bad first impression. I seriously doubt I would ever go back. Moreover, it's not even comparable to Portillo's. read more

Where's the beef... that's what I said when they delivered my beef sandwich !!! On my sandwich there was so little beef I thought it was a mistake.. I even asked one of the servers. Is this the right amount of beef and she said yes looked at everyone else's sandwiches with so little beef as well This place is known for a healthy portion of beef Well not here in Frankfort The salads are very good read more

Manager seemed to try hard. Cashier older white lady slow as a turtle. Staff must have been overturned never was like this b4. New staff sucks. No smiles. Mexican waitress did not understand English. Also very rude. Forgot something I ordered. I kept saying miss. I know she heard me. Finally I had to walk in back and ask for my over paid item. I won't be back until I hear something from someone hear who cares about customer relations. Probably pay staff minimum wage. Try encouraging your staff instead of punishing. read more
