Located very fittingly, 2 blocks from the worst low-income housing projects in eastern PA., the service, quality, and food safety fits THAT element of clientele. 4 of us went 2 days ago, and 3 got sick! 'Service with an attitude" is more accurate. Their appearance and sanitary operations match the ghetto they are located in. They really believe every person or group going in there is as low-income element as the guys and girl at the counter (and they operate as such). There were many prior fantastic reviews so I wonder if I went on a bad day or if the chef has changed...? Bbq chicken pizza - very aesthetic looking pizza and a decent size but honestly the chicken and pizza were very dry/overcooked - wasn't a big fan Pasta with vodka sauce + chicken - this was good, lots of chicken, and the sauce was very rich, enjoyed it Not the cheapest but not crazy overpriced and always nice to support a local shop. First time I ordered I had it delivered. Delivery was as estimated. My food had excellent presentation and even my family who never notice these things commented on how appealing the food was. Great first impression. Second order, was pick up. I went personally and what a pleasant experience. Cleanliness! Absolutely clean restaurant. From the entrance to the kitchen. Made it even more enjoyable to eat from such a clean environment. Very important! Third and last. Taste! The food is one of the best you will find locally. Everything I have ordered is fresh and always great presentation. Always. I have eaten at more expensive locations in the area and they're food is of better quality believe it or not then some very known Restaurants. Prices? Reasonable & On point. I highly recommend them. They have updated and expanded the menu. All kinds of new tastes. They have chicken bacon ranch pizza, new appetizers and main dishes. Will try to post new menu photos soon, but did get a pic of yesterday's boli, incredible as always. Have enjoyed dinning and vendor foods globally, also been down to being grateful for MRE. This is what I base my review on. This place gets high scores for making a person feel welcomed and they have always been polite and attentive. Last night's delivery experience: Food = C- Two large pizzas which came barely warm and the cheese was very, very greasy. Service = F The initial Grub Hub delivery estimate was that it would take 45 minutes for delivery. That is about average for local pizza places and in particular this place which in terms of delivery is always on the slow side compared with other places like Verona or Feasta but last night took the cake. 45 minute delivery quote while the actual delivery took a luscious 77 minutes from order click to door knock from delivery driver. Speaking of the delivery driver, he's got to have a clue that things are way behind schedule but naturally there's no apology from him nor is there a call from the shop to say that they're running half an hour plus late. No, instead I get the "Wow, we're really busy but at least your stuff is hot and fresh." Yeah well that's a nice idea I suppose if it were true except that as I said prior, the pizzas were greasy and barely warm. Yick! We use to order from Buona but stopped mostly because the delivery wait times were always less than ideal but this one coupled with at best mediocre food I think enters into "Never Again" territory for me as there are soooooooooo many other local places peddling the exact same things except that they deliver hot food hot and do it in under an hour. (Ignore the delusional good reviews from people who are either clearly clueless, apologists, suckers or who will accept anything in life without any standards. The food is nothing special and the same thing can be had a literally a dozen other places within a very short distance and their delivery is horrible which is why I stopped ordering here after getting burnt multiple times with waits of over an hour.) read more

I learned the secret why this place is so Fantastic The CHEF/Owner comes from a Fine Italian Restaurant background. Carried over the recipes he learned in the High End Italian Restaurant World. We were so incredibly pleased with this restaurant which was basically a hole in the wall, probably mostly focusing on delivery, even catering to drive by delivery clients, but was able to accommodate our large party for dine-in. The portion sizes were enormously generous. Entrees included a nice dinner salad. Everyone had a take out box. They were also able to make things to order. The garlic bread was made with real garlic (not powder). We split the bill and my $50 portion of the bill fed four adults and a child, and we had four take out boxes. Most importantly, the food tasted great - what i would call Traditional East Coast Italian. The marinara was particularly tasty. It is BYOB. They were selling a cold display case which they said they weren't using anymore but that until they had it working it worked, well it resulted that I bought it and took it to my shop and the thing never cool down, when I call him to ask about it he said well it has been like a year since I used it last.
