    SANDWICH WEEEEK!!!!!
    Andrew L.

Came in to Bunk today for their sandwich week creation. Pulled pork with Thai slaw on An Xuen bun. A+++! Great location service was very friendly. Great sandwich Bunk!

Decent tucked away spot with pressed sandwiches. I came for sandwich week, but would be open to trying the Cuban Sandwich as well. Sandwich was decent but had a bit too much bread to ingredients ratio. Place has some beers and TV's so overall decent spot but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for it.

It's been a while since I visited Bunk's. I like that this location has a spacious interior and is counter service. We ordered their special sandwich for the week along with some Pickles and loaded fries. The sandwich was flavorful and tasty. The loaded fries could've been a bit better if they melted the cheese (in my opinion). The pickles were a solid add as it helped cleanse the pallet from the savory items.

I work in an office space across the street, and have frequented Bunk Bar many a times by myself and with coworkers. I would not recommend Bunk Bar myself. They are a hit 40% or miss 60% of the time not even 50/50. I went in today for the attached order and waited 35 mins. Initially, I ordered a togo small Greek salad with grilled chicken. Came out in less than 20, but was not in a to go container. Waiter takes it back to box, waited another 10 mins. I walk back to my office to then see the order is not correct. I received fried chicken instead of grilled chicken. But whatever, I was going to eat it anyways. What really empowered me to write this, is the quality of the fried chicken itself. This is burnt, and hard to even eat. Just looks oily and old. The above is small but overall the entirety of my experience with Bunk Bar has largely been inconvenient and frustrating, because it seems every time I come here theres an issue with my order. For example the last time I came here I ordered a sandwich and requested a topping to be taken off, which was never taken off. $6 for a small Greek salad, and $4 extra for the disappointing chicken.

Scrolling on the internet and saw this pop up as a must try sandwich place. The service was very interesting. It felt as if we weren't very invited giving we weren't from the area as far as that the food tasted phenomenal. It was fresh. Everything was homemade and it was a wonderful tasting lunch. Would definitely recommend the restaurant is on the corner in downtown Portland Must try place.

What a fun space! Friendly staff and the sandwiches were delicious. We got the well known and loved Cubano as well as the chicken Caesar sandwich off the specials menu. Was there during the day for lunch and would love to return to take in the place at night when they're hosting comedy or a band.

I visited Bunk Bar because of the Diners Dive Inns and Dives connection and they did not disappoint. The food was outstanding! I had the Chicken sandwich with added cheddar. It was moist and crispy and really messy. A 4 napkin treat!!! Fluffy brioche bun tangy sauce and dripping with pickles and coleslaw goodness. HOMERUN!! The lady at the counter was fun and a happy person this makes a visit all the better. It's a cool place for a beer and some hearty fun delicious nosh!!! Get to Bunk and enjoy!

I was in Portland for work and came across Bunk. The Cubano sandwich is as good as I've had in South Beach. Great waffle fries too. Don't sleep on this place.

I was sad to see that a few of the other Bunk locations had closed, but Bunk Sandwiches is one the first spots I head to when I'm in PDX. I typically order two sandwiches (the Pork Belly Cubano and Italian Cured Meats). Not going to lie... I dream about those sandwiches and have tried making my own Italian at home. The Italian Cured Meats is one of my favorite sandwiches in the country and has great texture with all the toppings. The location is perfect because it's right next to my favorite coffee shop (Water Avenue Coffee). Being able to go to both of these right when my plane lands are my perfect scenario. It's street parking, and you may need to do a couple of laps around the block to find a spot, but it's worth it. Inside, it's got a bar vibe (cause it is). I have been there before when they weren't allowing underage patrons because they were about to have a band play. There are booths on one side and tables in another corner. I haven't been there when it is hard to get seating, but I could see that during a lunch rush. It's usually quick service after you order. You order at the bar and then grab your seating. It's self-clean up, too, and all pretty self-explanatory.

Laid back vibe, dope music. Definitely recommend a Ciderberg. Are ahead of time but the food smells amazing: lots of takeout orders going out.

Always a cool special at Bunk Bar. Joachin the new head manager is debuting some cool creations.

Can't speak to the location or ambiance since I ordered my meal via Doordash. Seems there are multiple ways to order but via Doordash took between 35-40 mins from ordering to the meal making it to our door. Prior to writing this review I didn't realize that Bunk was on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Looking it up the first visit was a missed opportunity to try their cubano but now I know what option to get my next visit. | WHAT WE GOT | + Italian Cured Meats + Meatball Parmesano Hero + Side of tater tots Both items were nicely portioned and you can easily eat half if you're pairing your sandwich with a side. Italian Cured Meats (got it toasted) was topped with plenty of peppers (depending on the heat you decide). The meatball hero had 4 nicely sized meatballs with melted cheese on top. The bread on both sandwiches held up well with all the fillings/toppings as well. If you're not craving your standard potato chips the tater tots are a nice option (may opt to put it in the oven when it's delivered) and pair it with both their bunk sauce (similar to thousand island) and ranch on the side.

Entering the shop, you will be greeted by loud music. Be ready for that. You will have the option to dine outside, if the weather provides it and the seats are empty. The hosts are wonderful and very accepting with a positive attitude. Smiles and all. I ordered the Jim because it was the only sandwich I could eat. The majority of the sandwiches contain meat, so I would not recommend this for vegans or pescatarians. Jim was delicious and I consumed both halves of Jim flawlessly. Either hunger overruled me, or the sandwich was that satisfying. I do recommend the shop, but with limited options for non-meat eaters, I truthfully would rate Lottie and Zulas, 4.5. Yet, I don't believe the spot was "good."

The ambiance is quintessential Portland, right up until they bring all your food in plastic with plastic silverware to boot.

Let me start by saying I didn't take pictures. For anyone who reads my reviews, that's a big part…read moreof them: ALL THE PICTURES. Presentation, portions, half eaten, etc... but I didn't. Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!

We ordered 1/2 Chicago beef and 1/2 chicken parm. The bread is the winner! So crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Beef was a little dry for being in the au jus but still good, big chucks of chicken breast with flavorful sauce was also good. Will be back to try one of the cold sandwiches next.

The fresh lettuce and bell peppers added a satisfying crunch to every bite. Chefwich - K-Town Steak Sandwich (5/5): A limited-time creation packed into a banh mi roll.
