Absolutely wonderful!! Annandale's Soricha is one of the DMV's best and most unique dessert and tea…read morecafes. They're best known for their bingsoo, or Korean shaved ice, which is perfectly fluffy and delightful, with a sweet, milky flavor that acts as a great canvas for all their toppings. You can't go wrong with of their bingsoo options, but they do run a little bit large and are meant for 2-3 people to share. If you're in the mood for something smaller, they do have a delightful selection of other desserts, chief among which is their rice paper waffle. This glorious confection is a super light, crispy waffle made entirely out of rice paper (which, as a side bonus, also means it's gluten-free). It's slightly chewy on the inside but generally incredibly crunchy and airy. It comes topped with a lovely rice-based syrup that tastes a bit savory -- almost malty -- and black sesame. You can also just get a scoop of their rich, creamy ice cream (instead of the shaved ice that it normally comes on top of), and it will be topped with a generous helping of red bean paste, injeolmi powder, sliced almonds, and corn flakes. The combination of flavors and textures levels up this humble little scoop to a full-scale dessert with sweet, savory, and nutty notes. Aside from their sweet treats, Soricha also has a bunch of fun drinks. They have a long menu of expertly brewed artisan teas, or you can also cool down with one of their refreshing fruit mixes. The omija berry refresher is particularly lovely, with a great balance of tart and sweet flavors that make it the perfect summertime drink. Beyond the food, the service is also super friendly and quick, and the cafe is gorgeously decorated with chill, relaxing ambient music. It's a delightful place to hang out with a friend to chat, finish some work, or do a bit of reading. I will note, however, that it is quite expensive -- the bingsoo is about $20, and the teas are a minimum of $7. It's so worth it every time, but it's definitely more of an occasional treat than an everyday indulgence.

The flavors rotate seasonally with different combo twist flavors and there's now a Mini 6 oz option as well as the 9 oz classic option with unlimited toppings! There are interesting seasonal flavors that are fun to try: - Honey Dew & Guava Cheesecake Twist - The summer flavor and sweetness of the honey dew complemented the exotic guava cheesecake flavor. - Peach Honey Goat Cheese - My favorite summer! The unique flavor is complex with a bit sweetness and a touch of savory. You can taste all of the ingredients. - Sakura: The pink cherry spring flavor wasn't that sweet and a bit tangy. - Kyoto Taro Cheesecake: A great combo of Taro and Matcha Cheesecake twist that's not too sweet and flavorful Ube Cheesecake flavor - A bit bland with a subtle cheesecake flavor. - Watermelon Basil - Fun flavor to try and tastes like a sour watermelon jollyrancher. It pairs well with the Peach Honey Goat Cheese flavor. - Black Sesame - Grey, savory flavor with a hint of bitterness. - Cookies and Cream flavor is a bit bland. - Classic Ube & Pandan Twist: I always resort back to my favorite default sweet and coconutty flavor. The Taikayi waffle cones are delicious. As the stuffed Taikyai is quite decadent, getting it hollow without any filling is the best way to go with the ice cream. Any type of filling with the ice cream becomes overload of sweetness. The Wicked Pandan Float (from the glass cooler) was delicious with layers of green coconut Pandan cheesecake custard pudding on a bed of Oreo Crumbs drizzled with salted caramel dulche leche. All of the flavors pair well together. I wasn't a fan of the Ube Dulce Leche or the Ube Oreo Floater. The Ube custard was a bit bland and didn't like the jelly topping. Skip the floats in the cooler and head straight to order the ice cream! Sign-up with the app and you can score deals and discounts via text and get notified of new flavors and when some flavors retire. My kids and I enjoyed love coming here and sharing a fun sundae! We came here a dozen times during the summer. There's both indoor and outdoor seating.

I mourn the fact that COVID killed the samples, but it's still a great place to shop for a treat or just run in and grab a coffee which I do a few times a month. Recommend: Any of the breads that are unwrapped and on the baking trays by the counter. Those are fresh out of the oven that day. I especially love the mocha roll. It's big and fluffy with chewy moist mocha flavored dough and a crispy sugary coating on the outside that's to die for. It's still light and fluffy at the same time. Yum! And while it's prob not made in-house, I do love the red bean buns. Bathrooms are always clean and the upstairs is great for a longer chat with a friend, time in a book, or board or card game time. They also have a lovely upstairs covered porch for pretty days.

First, the yogurt snow had awful fruits: kiwi was old, strawberries were not ripe, melon tasted like watermelon rinds, the canned mandarins tasted canned. The yogurt was okay, but the snow tasted just like ice. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever for $16.55 The chocolate chip brownie, didn't have much taste of chocolate and stale. $4.50 The upside down pineapple cake was the worst, so old it had the metallic taste of the aluminum container and crumbled into granules using a fork. Absolutely inedible! $4.25 Breeze bakery has been going downhill for a while now, but 3 out 3 items being inedible for $28 is unbelievable. There is also the short bulky Korean guy, possibly the manager who's seems to be on a power trip and speaks to customers rudely and unprofessionally. Will never come back and will inform my friends and family how this business is tanking.

The garlic cream cheese bread was AMAZING - unbelievably soft and fluffy with a warm, creamy center. At first glance it looks like it would be heavy, but it's actually really light and easy to eat. The garlic flavor was perfect and not overpowering. The garlic sausage block was also delicious, buttery and savory with the sausage baked right inside the bread. For something sweet we got the chocolate cream donut, which was the perfect level of sweetness - not overly sugary at all. For drinks we tried the iced matcha tiramisu and the iced jasmine green tea. The matcha was really good quality. I couldn't taste the tiramisu flavor too much (probably because we mixed it), but the matcha itself was excellent. The iced jasmine green tea was exceptional - super refreshing and hydrating. The cashier was also very patient and helpful with my indecisiveness while ordering, which I really appreciated. The items we asked to have warmed up came out pretty quickly too. The space itself is really nice as well - lots of seating and plenty of natural light, making it a great place to sit and enjoy your food. The music was also really nice and added to the relaxed vibe. Overall everything was fresh, soft, and really well made. Definitely recommending this place to everyone I know and coming back ASAP.

A big group of us stopped by for some late night desserts this past Saturday. Other than drinks, they also have a fair amount of desserts like macarons, cookies, bingsoo (sadly, they did not have it when we stopped by), and baked goods. BLACK MILK TEA (M) - 5.25 +0.75 for tapioca pearl I got it with 25% sugar and 25% ice. This is my standard order for every new boba shop I check out. The one here was just OK. The 25% sugar was perfect for me but the milk tea was on the watery side. I couldn't taste that much of the tea flavor and the milk was a bit weak, too. The tapioca here is pretty soft and chewy, which we all enjoyed. BANANA PUDDING - 5.99 One of my friends got this for the table. The banana pudding slaps hard. The pudding is super smooth and creamy and there's bits of nilla wafers and banana chunks throughout that adds to the texture. For those Magnolia Bakery fans missing a good banana pudding, you can get one here that is solid. BERRY LEMON BAR - 7.49 Another dessert for the table. This was so dense. One bite and I was done. It is quite sweet and citrusy, but more so too sweet for me. Our group loved it. To the sweet tooths and lemon bar lovers, this one is for you. I'd recommend it. Would love to stop by in the future to try their bingsoo and their banana pudding again!
