Loved this spot! It's a classic Michigan blueberry farm but what sets it above some U-Pick spots to me is how easy and close everything is. Right when you park, you'll see a large area to buy goodies (pies, cookies, produce), you'll see animals to pet, and then blueberries to pick. We went in late July and the berries were abundant (and delicious). We definitely tried our way through some favorites and then picked entirely too many. We ended up eating most and adding tons to blueberry pancakes over our vacation weekend in South Haven. Can't remember the exact prices but cheaper than I've paid for berries all summer, I know that much. And we ALWAYS have blueberries in the house. Also loved the super sweet blueberry lemon sugar cookie that they had in their shop, and felt welcome by the friendly staff. Lastly, speaking to how close everything is both on the farm and off; this is quite close to downtown South Haven when driving, but still feels way out in the country. It's a perfect combo, IMO, and we'd come back again and again if we lived near here. read more

We have been coming to bumbleberry acres for 3 years now. We love picking blueberries, playing at the park and finishing the day with a ride on the tractor barrel ride. When we arrived today we were pretty bummed that bumbleberry changed how they run the farm. We used to be able to give everyone a bucket and then the blueberries would be weighed and we would take them home. Now, be prepared to pay 12 dollars a bucket(you get to keep it). It's not the same experience when you are walking to the fields and the entire family needs to share a single bucket. We also adored the low key barrel ride. I believe it was about 5 dollars a ticket in the past. Now, you must pay 12 dollars per child plus 5 dollars per adult to watch your child play and go on a barrel ride. The petting zoo, bumbleberry chair, tire castle, everything is gated off. We passed and noticed most families did the same. This would have cost our crew 45 dollars for one ride (two toddlers, 4 adults). What was once a quaint family farm now feels off. We will be picking somewhere else next year. read more

PIE!! PIE!! PIE!! After my South Haven friend told me that the blueberry pie he bought here was the best he had ever had, I had to stop by today. Mid-afternoon on a Friday, the choices were somewhat limited; fortunately, my favorite: cherry pie, was there waiting for me! I'm 77 and upright and have had more than my share of cherry pie in this life, and let me tell you: THIS IS THE BEST PIE I HAVE EVER HAD. The two young cashiers were very personable and took time to chat up each of the customers. Families were enjoying the petting zoo behind the store. A great experience! read more

We've visited Bumbleberry Acres twice. It's low frills with enough fun activities and exploring to keep young and medium aged children busy. There are plenty of blueberry bushes to hunt through and decent space between them so that you don't get caught up in too much foliage. We also bought a box of already picked berries - they were lovely and delicious. I'm still working through the stash I froze after we visited for a nice taste of summer. Definitely have some sweets from the bakery area - yum. Staff was super friendly and helpful - especially when the elementary school aged crowd had lots of questions. read more

We come here every year for the U-pick blueberries. Their blueberries are amazing. And we always leave with treats from their bakery (Blueberry biscuits!). The staff is always amazing & helpful. It's been so fun to watch this family run orchard grow! The change to the different size buckets was a great idea this year. Don't worry about the people complaining about you now charging for the kid activities ~ there is so much for them to do!! Unlimited tractor rides, zip line, petting zoo, bouncy castle..the community and tourists need to keep a family run place like this open!! We will keep coming back!! read more

So disappointing that this charming family owned orchard had to go charging to see animals and spend time at their park. Plus adults were charged just to enter with their kids. On our visit, U-pick had been temporarily suspended due to rains earlier in the day. Field conditions may be checked by calling prior to visiting. As such, our visit to the farm was not particularly long. When we were informed of the field closure, we were welcomed to visit the animals, and told about their baked goods. Animals are legitimately friendly. Signs instruct visitors not to feed the animals. This means the animals are friendly because they actually want to interact with people. One of the donkeys (maybe a burro,) kept pushing into one of my children until they gave it a hug. The farm store has all kinds of goodies. Local jams, honey, candies, sauces, and soaps are available. Bumbleberry logo merchandise and fun other souvenir things are there. A bakery is located inside. It smelled delicious. Baked goods were very reasonably priced, especially for the area. We have just eaten breakfast, otherwise we would have tried them. Play areas are available. There is also an area that looks like they do bonfires. read more

Such a cute family spot! It was near the end of blueberry picking season but we still had a great time, and picked wildflowers too! The bakery had delicious items, lots of great local jams, preserves, pickles, etc. Kids had fun running around and petting the animals. Convenient stop along the Kal Haven trail (around 3 mile marker from South Haven). Sign at crossing directs you to Bumbleberry. Bike racks available and inside you can get a snack, cold drink, baked goods, shaved ice, or lunch. We wound up getting some candy and a blueberry handpie ($2). Visited the animals on the grounds where a young staff member introduced them and answered our questions. This farm is sweet... the perfect size so you feel like you're actually on a farm. The blueberry fields never stop- best berries are in the back! The petting zoo is fun and sweet- they take such great care of the animals and the animals are sweet and enjoy having people visit! There's also a cozy market type general store with canned goods, pastry, and more! The family was everywhere making sure everyone had what they needed to enjoy their day. We planned to stay an hour, but then we found more things to explore so we stayed 5 hours! A sweet farm and worth the drive from Chicago- 2.25 hour for a much-needed escape. read more

Wonderful place to bring kids! Our son is one and had a blast. We got an up close personal tour of all the animals-got to pet a goat, bunnies, donkey and more. They also have a play area that my son could climb on while my husband went inside and picked up fresh veggies, eggs, and apples. They had u pick wildflowers and the cutest tractor train for kids-pulling lady bug and bee cars. My son was a little too young for that but an older child would have loved it! We had a wonderful time at Bumbleberry Acres! The young staff was friendly, helpful, and quite impressive in their knowledge of farm life and the animals. We enjoyed meeting goats, rabbits, pigs, mini donkeys, and Leo the little raccoon! After a hand-wash and a snack (the Blueberry Turnover and "Everything Cookie" were fresh-baked seriously delicious) we had a great time exploring the playground area with our 7-year-old and he got top it all off with a fun Tractor Train ride. Can't say enough good things about this sweet family-run farm. Amazing berries - we picked our own - plus local Michigan products in the shop, a "barrel train," and a petting farm. All the little activities are free. The animals were well cared-for, there was a nice shady porch for sitting, it was super clean, and everyone we met couldn't have been nicer. This place says it is open 9 am everyday. We went by twice during our week stay in late August between 9:30-10 and it was not open. Tried calling and got a busy signal. You can walk up and see the animals even if they're not open but would not recommend showing up without calling ahead to know they're open. read more

Go here. It's a very cute small family farm. There are lots of yummy treats to buy and blueberries to pick. There are also lots of animals to see. There was a very helpful younger gentleman (sorry I don't remember his name but he was tall with dark hair) working with the animals.
