    Feeding the animals

We loved this place! What a gem! It's a century farm with lots of fun things for the kids to do. Pastries and Carmel apple cider are amazing! Owners and staff are super friendly and helpful. You get a history tour on the hayride. Very interesting and fun! Highly recommended! We will be back next year!

We picked blueberries and wildflowers with our family here this afternoon. Afterwards we went to the store and purchased the most delicious blueberry crumble. The staff were so friendly, and they even wrapped up a special bouquet of flowers for my three year old. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

On our visit, U-pick had been temporarily suspended due to rains earlier in the day. Field conditions may be checked by calling prior to visiting. As such, our visit to the farm was not particularly long. When we were informed of the field closure, we were welcomed to visit the animals, and told about their baked goods. Animals are legitimately friendly. Signs instruct visitors not to feed the animals. This means the animals are friendly because they actually want to interact with people. One of the donkeys (maybe a burro,) kept pushing into one of my children until they gave it a hug. The farm store has all kinds of goodies. Local jams, honey, candies, sauces, and soaps are available. Bumbleberry logo merchandise and fun other souvenir things are there. A bakery is located inside. It smelled delicious. Baked goods were very reasonably priced, especially for the area. We have just eaten breakfast, otherwise we would have tried them. Play areas are available. There is also an area that looks like they do bonfires.

Wildflower picking - $7 for all you can fit in a bucket!

Such a cute family spot! It was near the end of blueberry picking season but we still had a great time, and picked wildflowers too! The bakery had delicious items, lots of great local jams, preserves, pickles, etc. Kids had fun running around and petting the animals. Appreciated the chalkboard with their favorite local recommendations, and the farmer's wife was so sweet and welcoming!

Great place to pick blueberries and get various blueberry products (the bumble berry pie and lemon blueberry cookies were particular hits). Family-run business with great customer service and delicious blueberries!

This farm is sweet... the perfect size so you feel like you're actually on a farm. The blueberry fields never stop- best berries are in the back! The petting zoo is fun and sweet- they take such great care of the animals and the animals are sweet and enjoy having people visit! There's also a cozy market type general store with canned goods, pastry, and more! The family was everywhere making sure everyone had what they needed to enjoy their day. We planned to stay an hour, but then we found more things to explore so we stayed 5 hours! A sweet farm and worth the drive from Chicago- 2.25 hour for a much-needed escape.

We stopped here for the afternoon and went through the corn maze with our kids. We all loved it and had a great time! We then checked out the animals and snagged some delicious apples. The staff was friendly and helpful and we would recommend it to others!

Wonderful place to bring kids! Our son is one and had a blast. We got an up close personal tour of all the animals-got to pet a goat, bunnies, donkey and more. They also have a play area that my son could climb on while my husband went inside and picked up fresh veggies, eggs, and apples. They had u pick wildflowers and the cutest tractor train for kids-pulling lady bug and bee cars. My son was a little too young for that but an older child would have loved it! They had a fire pit going since it was chilly. Really friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming staff! Very glad we came here! Produce was excellent and lots for kids to enjoy!

This farm doesn't have a website and is not listed in the u-pick directories that I looked at, and the result is that they have very full bushes that haven't been picked! Many u-pick places I've been to in Michigan have a large customer base and you really have to search for the berries because the bushes have been picked over by others. This farm was loaded with berries and the picking was easy. The Sparks' farm is north of Baseline Rd on the west side of the street. They have a very small sign with five flashing lightbulbs in front of their driveway. We missed it the first time and had to circle back. They provide the buckets and a string to hang it around your waste so you can use both hands to pick. My husband talked to the owner and his wife and their son. He said he planted his first bushes 35 years ago. They're tall and full of berries... and like I said, no competition from other pickers. We brought my three month old daughter and put her in a stroller with a shade cover and picked 13 lbs in an hour and a half. They have port-a-johns and were kind enough to let us use their well pump to wash our hands and get a cold drink when we finished up. They're open 7am-7pm during blueberry season for picking. If you call in advance (269-214-2041), they can also sell you a 5 lb box of berries for $8.50, which is really a good deal. I was happy to support a small family farm.

There is a really nice picnic seating area out front to enjoy your treats with your favorites folks. A very aesthetically please, peaceful worming farm with fun for the kids and adults alike. They offer freshly picked blueberries and take out items such as jams, jellies, salsas, sweets, pastries, blueberries by the jar or box, and more. Plenty of take out gifts to choose from. THE very freshest blueberries you will find on the road. The coffee is the very best I had on the entire trip around the lake from Chicago north and back south. My buddy couldn't stop raving about the coffee the entire trip and he's the kind of guy who will drive up from Chicago just to grab a cup or two. All in all a great stop for multiple sweet reasons. Stop in, there's plenty of parking.
