We live on a large wooded property and unwanted critters and insects make their home outside our home. We were having issues with critters getting in and we called Bulwark for service. Matthew came and has been taking very good care of us. We have had no critters in our home and after the winter treatments we were sure with the high temps and rain we've had we would see more troubles, but much to our pleasure, we have had no unwanted visitors inside and on the outside the mice are being well controlled. They have a well-marked truck so that you know it's them if you get a Ring camera alert ;) If I need them between sprays, which in my experience hasn't been often, they have been able to get me on the schedule same day to take care of it. My experience with Bulwark was horrible from the start. I purchased a groupon promotion to use their services but they refused to honor it, saying I was outside their service area....yet, when I paid double the money, I miraculously was within their service area !! There were 2 technicians that did a good job....otherwise no one ever paid attention or cared to look at what my actual pest problem was. They made appointments for me without my acknowledgment, saying "no need for you to be home"... but my problem was INSIDE the house !!!....they never gave any attention to that !!....and I was charged regardless if they showed up or not !! Their management was lacking in every courtesy imaginable !!! An absolute nightmare I endured for far more months than I wish I would have. read more

We have been using Bulwark Exterminating for a little over a year and have been so pleased. We switched companies when we moved after being less than impressed. Bulwark's comes on a monthly basis. They always text us to give a head's up about when they'll be here, and check in regarding any changes or things we'd like to focus on. They are super thorough and have addressed every concern we've had. I appreciate their professional and friendly staff. Even during the Covid-19 craziness, they weren't able to come in the house, but texted to let us know they'd be treating the exterior and would return for an additional visit (when they could) without any additional charges. James with Bulwark was communicative prior to and during service, explaining the process and expectations. His knowledge on pest control issues was on display and he clearly expressed a personal interest in our ant problem. James also knocked down some spider locations which was something he was not obligated to do. James was thorough, cordial, and professional. James absolutely deserves five stars but the four stars is because of the Bulwark contract which I was told was not a contract. Well, it is. I was told by Bulwark that I could cancel the service at any time without penalty. We shall see. Having said that, I do recommend this company and certainly James specifically. The only precaution is the contract. Read it and make sure you can live with it. read more

They were super quick to send a technician out so that was great. However, the technician inexplicably parked his big truck in my yard which was weird, but he did move it to my driveway when I asked him. No biggie, he was very nice and polite. After this he announces that he will be spraying chemicals all around my yard for bugs. Great, except I had requested rodent removal not bug removal. He said it was just part of the service, but I'm just not a fan of chemicals sprayed all over the yard and seeping into the groundwater especially for no reason. Anyway, after we sorted that out it turned out that he didn't have with him the proper equipment to address the rodent issue anyway. Turns out the equipment was essentially bait boxes and glue traps. I actually am already using bait boxes and these huge rats in my basement would wear a glue trap as a freaking hat. So even if he had had the proper equipment it would have been useless. He felt bad and offered to go ahead and spray the yard for bugs for me. This was weird because I felt like we had just had a 10 minute conversation about how I definitely didn't need and more importantly didn't want my yard sprayed. So anyway, I thank him, tell him it's not his fault, no worries etc., etc., but I've had a long day and need to go to the store so thanks for trying and so long. I go inside my house for a few minutes and when I go back outside to get to my car his truck is idling in my driveway. He sees I am trying to leave so he backs his truck out annnnnd hits a car that is parked on the street. He screams out and, like some bizarro, looping full-circle madness, proceeds to full-on park his big truck all up in my yard. I expect the rats were very amused. read more

I'm fairly new to using Bulwark Exterminating services, I found them while looking through Groupon. The chemicals they use seem to be working pretty well so far, thankfully-because the lady I spoke with last let me know that I must have been misinformed when I read in the information that they guarantee their work until the pests are gone. The first time I spoke with customer service, they were very nice and professional, which is more than I can say for the people they sent to my housES the first time. It was the woman who contacted me back for the return-to finish what the first person DIDNT finish, that told me that they didn't stand behind their work. Alan Aldridge is who came out the second time- and he texted just to let me know that he had only sprayed outside the house, because he says he knocked and nobody answered (my aunt is partially deaf, and it was 8am, and it was supposed to be in the notes to knock hard)but wanted me to be sure to get on here and leave my opinion so that his employer would give him $15. So here's my opinion- he could've texted, or CALLED even, when he didn't receive an answer at the door, instead of only spraying outside THEN texting to let me know afterwards that we hadn't heard him knock-especially since this was the second time someone had been sent out to do a job that wasn't finished by the first person (who was a woman, but was using a mans name to sign the bill she wrote my aunt-after I had already paid in full BEFORE the services were rendered), of course she left in such a hurry that she left all of her company paperwork behind- including her big clipboard with built in storage and stack full of other customers bill receipts. I guess it's just like anything else nowadays- it's a coin toss as to whether or not your gonna catch them at their best. Hopefully they'll send someone else out to try to finish the job-AGAIN, and hopefully we will have better luck with them.‍‍ read more

I purchased a GROUPON for exterminating services from Bulwark. When you initially call to set up an appt they ask you how would you like to pay, credit card or voucher? I informed them it was a voucher and I had to give them my voucher code before they would come out. I gave them my code and was set up with an appt. My original problem was an ant infestation. After about 3 services, which the other 2 were covered without a charge because they agree to come out free within 30 days of initial visit if problem still persist, I was pleased with the services rendered. I will also note that the techs were friendly. However, the problem arose when I kept getting a bill. For 4 months straight I would call and say that I had a voucher that covered my services and they continuously stated they will take care of it. Now I have been sent to collections and after calling Bulwark and them lying saying they will handle it I am left to try and get this ding off of my credit report. I highly suggest staying away from them as they have bad business practices. They also call and email you relentlessly trying to get you to sign up for other services. They say they can not take you off of their listing which is something Ive never heard of. I actually had to block them from my cell phone as I was getting about 23 calls a week read more

Bulwark does a great job keeping my house bug free. IF I ever do see a straw bug in my house I just give them a call and they send someone out to spray inside. Many times when they come no one is at home so they can only spray outside. If I need in house service they always schedule a time they can come when one of us is at home.
