When I relocated to Louisville, I immediately began searching for gymnastics centers that offered…read moreadult classes. I contacted each of the gyms listed on Yelp and Google, and was told repeatedly "we don't offer anything for adults". All-Star Gymnastics and Cheer was my last chance! When I contacted All-Star Gymnastics and Cheer, I spoke with the owner Rick. Rick spent several minutes on the phone with me, answering each of my questions in depth. He informed me the gym does not offer any adult classes but does offer an open gym each Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., where anyone is welcome to come in and participate. This Sunday I went to check out the facility! The gym is smaller then most but the facility was clean and the equipment well maintained. They offered full use of a gymnastics floor (spring), a tumble track, vault, two sets of womens bars and several beams. The staff is awesome, I was having difficulty with one of my skills and they went out of his way to assist me, giving me several pointers that really helped. Having been on he national team many years ago and coaching for several years myself I can attest that their advice was spot on... I was rusty. The downsides of All-Star Gymnastics and Cheer are that they don't have any mens equipment and their tumble track is rather short. Wether you're just starting your gymnastics career or just looking for a place to workout and relive old times, All-Star Gymnastics and Cheer is the place for you.

I started coming here about 2 years ago, when I used to bring my niece. Now, she's in school, so…read moreI've started bringing my son (17 months). We have only come for the open play and open gym. We've never taken any classes or anything, so I can't speak to that, but they have both seemed to enjoy the open gym and toddler play time. The facility is clean and they seem fairly well entertained for the price. I like that it goes from 10-2 (with the open gym part being open 12-1), as it gives us a bigger window of time to play! There are numerous trampolines, slides, foam pits, and bounce houses in the open gym part. My friend's kids really like doing the trapeze! I do wish that parents were allowed on some of the equipment with the kids, and I wish that there was just a little bit more for younger toddlers to do...but, all in all I recommend this place for running down a toddlers batteries!

This review is solely based on the schools out camps over holiday break…read more I signed my child up for camp and we were very excited about the program so I even shared with two other parents - who in turn signed each signed their children up. One child was 6, while mine was 5, but I called ahead and spoke with a kind lady who just returned from maternity leave, she confirmed the 6 yr old could join my kids 5 yr old class. Here's why it was so important that the 6 yr old join the 5 yr old class, this child medically can not get in any public pools, and the 4 and 5 yr olds do not have pool time so this worked out wonderfully. At the first day of camp, we again reminded them about the situation. Howecer, they didn't listen and had the child in the 6 yr old class, the child was terribly upset when the entire class got to swim. This all could have been avoided if they listen to our communication. My child did have a good time running around all day, but the point is that the breakdown of communication is scary and untrustworthy when dealing with a medical child.

My daughter was welcomed by her new teammates and coaches with open arms. All of the coaches are attentive, engaged and fun, but always challenge her to reach her greatest potential. The coaches always walk into the lobby after practice to say goodbye to the girls and talk to the parents, if needed. The operations director at Champion is organized, available and communicates well (and often) with the parents. The booster club, operated by parents, seems to run efficiently and effectively. Thank you, Champion staff, for making our gymnastics transition flawless. Please note: I am not a level rep. My daughter does not get the highest scores on the team at the meets, but....Once we moved here, she mastered all of the skills to move to the next level and they noticed that she had the desire to push herself to the next level. It was just before the meet season began. I watched a collective effort (staff, coaches and teammates) to welcome her into a new group of girls and then teach her new routines. My daughter has worked very hard, but I am certain that the encouragement from her teammates and the persistence of her coaches have played a major role in her confidence and success.

I see her six months into lessons learn athletic skills while building confidence and physical ability. Missing fifth star - My observation has been that some areas of learning are not as developed as others. I would encourage you to take advantage of a free classes and find programs that fit your child's interests, skill level, and wellness goals. Also multiple programs can get a bit pricey and I would love to see a structure to take advantage of discounts when you participate in more than one program. What sets this gym apart from other gyms I have been exposed to is the consistent positive and empowering culture. This staff really is passionate about helping kids grow and be well rounded people. We are happy to be part of this community and plan to continue with this organization for a long time.
