Went to Bullfeathers on 10535 Kingston Pike in Knoxville, TN this evening. I ordered two "Irish Coffees" during the course of the evening. When the bill came I was charged $15.00 a piece! That is $30.00 for two drinks. I asked the bartender why the charge was so high. She said my waitress was new and should have informed me that I was being charged $6.50 for a shot of Jameson, $6.50 for a shot of Baileys Irish Cream and $2.00 for coffee! I was not advised while ordering. They refused to even comp the coffee because it was made from a Kurig. The bartender said there was nothing she could do. So, watch what you order if you are on a budget. I've never paid $15.00 for an Irish coffee before and certainly won't be purchasing another one at this establishment. Secondary notes: This establishment claims to be "family friendly" but will allow any song during karaoke. The sound system was sub-par. Not many people signed up to sing so we were able to sing more often than other karaoke places. Food was not as good as expected. read more

I am sad to have to write this and to have to hide my name due to the "quick to ban" mentality at this bar. I've been a regular here for some years now and normally would have recommended it to anyone because normally its fun. As of late this place is awful due to one person. Ryan Ellsworth... He too is a local/regular but he is out of control there. He gets obliterated beyond repair and goes around cussing at everyone. For some reason they always have his back and never actually kick him out even though he's done the following... He's often trying to pick fights. Making fun of people he doesn't even know or associate with. Acting like he owns the place. Telling women who reject him to go F themselves and that they are Sl**s and C***s that no one likes anyways. Literally two or three weeks ago he took his shirt off to fight some old guy outside who was simply looking to ask him to stop being a jerk to his table. I used to love this place for the years I was going on the regular but I will slowly not be returning anymore until Ryan is forever banned from this place. He is a walking liability that will eventually cause business (like mine) to run away from this bar. Or he'll say something to the wrong person and something more serious go down then a fight with an old man out front. Do not go to this wannabe bar. The creepy old owner sits at the bar and talks to girls and was trying to talk to my girlfriend and because she didn't want to talk to him he had the bartenders cut her off after 2 glasses of wine which was all she had all night when there are drunk men who are walking up to everyone slurring and trying to talk to any person who will give them attention yet they can order drinks. If there was any other explanation I would have been glad to listen to it but they offered me no explanation after waiting 15 min at the bar for someone to talk to me about it, while they ignored me, which would be super unprofessional in any bar anywhere. My girlfriend tipped 10 dollars for an 11 dollar tab and was cut off. I however wasn't cut off and they wouldn't serve me either because they thought I would give to her because she wouldn't talk to the loser owner ‍. The place was a joke I was totally shocked at how we were treated on my birthday spent out of town. I downloaded this app just to write this review because the place was so bad and people need to know. Okay my first review was removed because management complained. So let me just say on Father's Day our experience at bullfeathers was ruined after a fight broke out and then a guy gets killed by having his throat cut. I will never forget that experience. The Karaoke is awesome at this bar...i dont drink however, but they sell alot of it. I see alot of people with beer bottles!! Lol This is a fun local bar with lots of people here on a friday night. I didnt come to eat nor do I eat at bars because its all fried foods, not healthy. Plus I already ate dinner. Smoky in here. The atmosphere is good, happy, loud people. Excellent wings. My wife and I have eaten here once and did takeout once. The hottest wings are the Carolina Reaper sauce. I like things super hot so I would say that they aren't too hot. My wife would say they burned her just from being next to them. We have had every sauce they have and they are all great. The fried pickles are also really good. Our new favorite spot! Love this bar as a bar, I would not go just for the food, though. This is a karaoke bar and it is a total hole in the wall. It's fabulous. Cheap beer, great sound, tons of songs, and best of all, a bunch of drunk fools who are more than happy to make asses of themselves. One fun example - the guy who threw his beer bottle on the ground because he was mad that the sound guy didn't feature his vocals enough. I've had several work functions here for drinks and fun and we always have a great time. Outdoor space is nice. Sometimes there are problems with smoke. They have those smoke fans but they are not the best. Ladies, avoid the bathrooms. Note to those who have been before - they used to allow you to bring your own liquor, but they got their liquor license and I saw them kick some kids out who brought their own. Went in for the first time with a friend after work ordered a shot and a beer handed the extremely rude bartender a $20. I waited for my change I've been in the restaurant service industry for 30 years. I manage a large chain now. I asked for another beer and I said take it out the $20 I gave you she said no I laid a ten on the bar where I was sitting. I said no I never got it. She walked away and I tried to get her attention several times. She would not me abs my friend get another beer. She made a point to ignore us. When I finally got her attention I said check my purse cuz it was on the car top I said I don't have a 10 in my purse I had some ones I was going to give her as a tip. Then she was so rude tried to get in my face very confronted and said I laid a 5 and 5 ones. My friend and the guy I was talking to said this is crazy!! So my friend went and got us beers from another bartender. Then she told us to get out. 2 bouncers told us we had to leave we had just gotten our new beers. She did hand me the 10 back. Like I said I manage a large restaurant. This is completely unprofessional since there was no manager on duty to handle this matter. I was told to call Monday it's Friday. Why aren't there managers to handle guest issues. I've never heard of not having a manager on duty. But I have to leave my fresh beer and go? I've never been treated as bad as I was tonight. Abs to have no one to handle my complaint? Why is that? So they can let rude staff that keep people's money which in my book is stealing forget by Monday? I'm not forgetting. I'd fire a staff member for that. That establishment is so unprofessional. At my restaurant I always ask the guest what happened and resolved the issue. That's what professionals do. This by far was my worst experience in my life at a bar. All I wanted was to relax have a drink after work. But to have the bartender accuse me of lying and ignore me every time I asked. I will be contacting the manager on Monday. From manager to manager I want to know this is going to be handled. I'm 49 years old and have never experienced what I did tonight. Awesome bar food. I've yet to try anything that wasn't awesome from the menu. Service and staff are friendly and tolerant of every minority I've seen so far and we've been going there for 3 years. Parking can be tricky at times but the outdoor patio is great and they have literally half a building for non smoking so it's a place for everyone. Call ahead to see who is the DJ for karaoke. Karaoke is not good when "David" is doing it because he puts himself in the rotation to sing even when there are people waiting for their turn. Almost every time I've been there or others I know have it has been the worst service ever. The bartenders seem to want you to wait ten minutes and beg for a beer almost making you apologize for bothering them, and the DJ let's his pals sing for two hours before you can. Super down to earth atmosphere. They have a karaoke stage if that's your thing. Smoking and non-smoking sections! Loaded bar with anything you want. Pool tables. Dart boards. They got it all! It used to be a pretty decent Karaoke bar, but not any longer. It seems that the owner / manager quit caring about the place a couple years ago, and its steadily gone down hill since. One of the bartenders tries to manage it now and manages it how bartenders like it. Karaoke only on most weekends now and service is terrible. On Superbowl Sunday, they had no table servers at al and the place was full. No one other then their regulars could even get a drink or food. A waste of time now. They lost a lot of money in drinks and food not sold, and no one seemed to care. At halftime, half the customers left to go somewhere else to finally get a drink. read more

Stopped in tonight (Sunday) for wings, football, and beer. I was disappointed before I even walked thorough the door. Posted proudly on the door was a sign that read (paraphrasing), "no cigar or pipe smoking. But cigarettes are ok." Seriously? I can smoke a Camel, unfiltered menthol, but not a Padron,1964 series torpedo? If you're going to allow smoking in your bar, allow all, legal products to be smoked there. It is the height of bullshittery for someone, who is smoking a rolled up dog turd, to tell me that my cigar "stinks". I decided to not let the ridiculous smoking policy deter me. So, my wife and I bellied-up to the bar. We knew that we were going to order the wings, but we decided to look through the menu. Not too shabby. The standard sports bar fare, albeit pricey ($4.50 for 5 wings). The beer selection was ok, 8 -10 on tap. The wings, once we got them (see below), were decent. We like to order ours "naked" with sauces on the side. The sauces (hot and mild) were nothing special and celery did not come with the order ($.50 charge for 6 pieces). I am afraid that my disappointment in service is becoming a theme in my reviews. However, I can't let this slide. We were greeted promptly and our drink order was taken and delivered but the beer was cool, not cold, and it started going down hill from there. We were the only people eating in the restaurant and the wings took 20 minutes. During that time, our bartender was camped at the other end of the bar smoking cigarettes and talking with her friends. She never noticed how much time elapsed or checked on the order. My wife and I noticed that the cook was about to coat the wings in sauce, so I went and interrupted our bartender's, on-the-clock, smoke break. Alas, too late. The wings were coated....what to do? The cook's choice was to put the wings back into the grease and cook the sauce off. To his credit and our relief, it worked. I really hate to imagine the number of botched orders if the place is packed and the kitchen is overwhelmed. The icing on this tasteless cake was that no one really seemed to notice or care that The Simpsons and 60 minutes were on 5 televisions at this sports bar on Sunday night. The staff is slow, I'll give them if they happen to be busy but 2 of the times we can clearly see them hanging out with other staff members. Bar area was very uncrowded before 8pm on a saturday, but once karaoke started the place was very busy.
