We went when the weather was a bit warmer, so the outside wasn't so bad. They had pretty, sting lights and a nice decor. The chairs were a little uncomfortable and flimsy, but it wasn't so bad. The food was standard of any lunch or place where you can grab a quick meal. I ordered the turkey club sandwich and my friend ordered the burger. Both of our dishes were standard. Nothing too special or bad about them. It was a standard turkey sandwich and a standard burger. The fries were good. Perfectly fried and crispy on the outside while smooth on the inside. Their menu was pretty big with a lot to offer. Similar of diner food. You won't find any crazy or unique flavors, but you will find typical, good food. While we didn't have any drinks, we still saw the drink menu and there is a decent selection. You can get anything you want based on your taste. Overall, I would come here again. The food is standard good and wont' disappoint.

Wow. I have not been here in a few years. I had a hankering for wings so thought I'd stop. The…read morechicken itself was good, but I did not get the sauces I ordered. My friend had the chicken Sandwich and kettle chips. The chips were inedible- like cardboard. The server was slow to get back and then offered to take the wings back and get the correct sauces. I was afraid they would rinse them and serve them! I also felt it was weird to payfor sauces and rubs all carte. The entire restaurant could use a coat of paint and some repairs. The restroom was especially bad. There were dirty dishes and cleaning bottles on the bar as you enter. Not inviting at all. They are automatically adding a 3.5% service charge even before you choose cash or charge. Not a stop in will ever be making again.

The wings taste the same as the ones in Naperville too. My favorite is the sweet chili garlic. I tried the Caribbean jerk and it was okay, not my fave. We do like the waffle fries though. We took some of our fam and they were a little confused with the menu and how to order, and to be honest, it is very overwhelming at first. They just have a lot of choice. We do like the wings here a lot though. Thursdays are half off wings, but then the sauces kind of add up to be the same haha

There are two sections to the Frontier Pub; the restaurant part and the smaller cozy pub. When eight of us arrived around 5:30 PM on a Friday evening, the pub was about 3/4 full. This has to be the most comfortable pub in the Western burbs. With sofas and easy chairs throughout, you can really kick back and relax. There is a small bar where the friendly bartender was chatting with her customers. The real attraction on this 7 degree evening was the warm fireplace that was already staked out by 10-12 Fermilab researchers and their families enjoying Two Brothers brews. Since we had a relatively large group we walked over to the restaurant section which is brightly lit with a couple of TV's on the wall. They have several beautiful Bison photos and a huge taxidermied Bison head hanging on the walls. It's a comfortable room but not fancy. The limited menu is standard pub food but its all prepared quite well. Our group ordered turkey burgers, hamburgers, black bean burger, grilled chicken and the special of the day; spinach calzone. I had the grilled chicken which came with fries ($6.50) and it was perfect. The people that ordered the spinach calzone said that they really enjoyed it. We shared pitchers of Two Brothers Bison Head Ale ($15 pitcher) which is a delicious brown ale brewed just for The Frontier Pub. It's a basic menu but the food is prepared with care. I also need to mention that our server was just delightful. (I wish I would have gotten her name.). Even the bartender came over from the pub to chat us up. The good food, unique setting, great service and friendly crowd all add up to 5-stars for me. Fermilab is a great break from your hectic grind. Come out and see the bison herd or even go birdwatching. At the end of your day of exploring, The Frontier Pub is a great place to quench your thirst and fill your belly. Who knows, you might even strike up a conversation with an atomic physicist!
