    I gained a lot of weight over my twenties and even more after a surgery this year. I believed that getting back in shape after turning 33 was impossible. I felt disconnected from my own body, constantly worried and depressed about gaining even more weight, and had no idea where to start. On top of that, I dealt with horrible back pain, a high resting heart rate, and persistent fatigue. Despite my worries about me being capable of even walking a mile without pain or being able to afford training, I decided to meet with Glayol. When I first talked to her, I told her I was a "couch potato" and never moved, but that was about to change! I appreciated how she listened to my concerns and made a plan tailored to my specific needs. Her approach is very thorough and personalized, which makes it easier to start making changes. She evaluated my eating habits and provided meal plans that included food that I am already familiar with and guidance on portion control without needing to weigh food or track every calorie. Training at the gym with Glayol is always challenging in a positive way, and I value her ability to modify exercises based on what my body is capable of doing at the moment. When I began this journey on October 7th, I weighed 175.5 pounds and felt hesitant to even set a weight goal because I didn't believe it could be possible. Now, a month later, I'm amazed to see that I'm at 165.2lbs!!! I have lost over 10 pounds! Beyond the weight loss, I'm developing a healthier relationship with food, become more active, and experienced the greatest benefit of all: my back problems are disappearing, and my resting heart rate has dropped from 110bpm to 76bmp (which was something that kept me constantly worried). Training with Glayol has helped me discover a version of myself that I hadn't believed in before--one that's motivated, capable, disciplined, and not defined by past limitations. Investing in my well-being has been worth it, and I'm proud of the progress I've made, thanks to the guidance of a great coach. Thank you, G!

    I found Glayol on the SMTF website and signed up with her a few months ago to lose weight and prepare for the air force fitness exam. I told her I was all in - I wanted to train 5 to 6 days a week, my test was in a month, I was ready to swear off fast food entirely to see quick results. I was used to seeing training as punishment, coming from coaches that would give me punishment laps or not allow me to eat certain things. That's the only way I knew how to see results. Meal plans, and training nearly everyday. I'm a deputy, and my job made it tough to stick to strict meal plans in the past. I kept hiring, and rehiring and if I couldn't follow them, I'd just gain back the weight and I was in a vicious cycle of never keeping my results. Glayol is the best in this industry. Instead of making me give up all my favorite foods and have to train all the time, she cut my 6 workouts to just 3 quality workouts maximizing my time with my busy schedule, and allowing me to eat way more than I thought I could, and still lose weight. I've never had a trainer dive deep into my digestive health, bloating, hormones, sleep, and period cycles but G paid attention to all my variables. Now, I can go to any grocery store or drive thru, grab what I need, and read labels without feeling guilt and still seeing results. What stood out to me was her confidence in exiting diets. Instead of fearing that I'd gain all the weight back, she taught me a diet exit strategy that was a game-changer for maintaining my weight loss. I can enjoy my Taco Bell fix every Friday and still lost 34 pounds and 13% body fat. I went from failing my air force exam to adding 20 points to my score in 1.5 months of training with her going from a 20 minute mile and a half to 16 minute mile and a half. This journey is the most sustainable one I've ever been on, and as a busy mom and deputy, it's what I've always needed. I'm amazed by the progress I've made, I got emotional when I fit into a dress I haven't worn in over a decade and had to pull out my uniform from three years ago. She showed me there's a better way to reach my fitness goals without giving up my favorite things and living a life of chicken, broccoli and rice lol Glayol is an absolutely dedicated trainer, I can text her and she will help me find modifications and solutions to help me stay on track even outside of my session time with her or if I wasn't scheduled to see her that day. She puts in more effort into me than any other trainer I've had. If you're a former fad dieter like me, or you're used to going extremes and falling off, I highly recommend trying her program. You just have to see for yourself.

    I have been working out for several years with mixed results. I have tried every varation of dieting and fitness and constantly found myself re-gaining any weight I had lost. I severely restricted my calories during the week and would treat myself on weekends. I found myself stuck and burnt out, unable to break this cycle. I finally reached out to Glayol on Instagram for a meeting. I was slightly hesitant before starting as I wasn't ready to be honest with myself about my eating habits, alcohol intake and anxious to change the way I trained. I had avoided training my shoulder due to previous injuries but she helped scale my workouts and actually address strengthening the areas I needed to heal. She also cut down the days I trained, to my surprise. What stood out most to me was Glayol's clients results. She has been a part of some amazing transformations and I wanted to be one of them! My favorite things about working with Glayol would be the constant accountability and communication. Prior to working with her I would be super anxious about over eating during work travel, weekend parties, and family events. She has given me convenient grocery lists, restaurant lists, and guides I can access on my phone, to finally feel comfortable during the unplanned trips, events, and emergency grocery runs on what my eating options are. Usually post vacations, I would fluctuate 8-10 lbs. With her tips on what to buy and how to order, I was finally able to establish a steady baseline and plan ahead to learn the life skill of balancing parenthood, working 60 hour weeks, and still staying in shape. The app that I get access to on top of my sessions is incredible, easy to use and makes for traking food, steps and training super easy to follow. I have worked with other trainers in the past and they have helped me lose the weight, but nothing compares to the habits and routines I've learned to instill with Glayol. She has incredible knowledge when it comes nutrition. She has helped me better understand what my body needs and came up with an easy to follow and super effective plan. I have learned more in the last few months about myself and my body than I have in the last 15 years of being active in a gym. If you are willing to put in the work, so is she and she has changed my life. We started with a maintenence phase and now are working on a cutting phase. I am happy to say I have lost 17 lbs in two months and 10 inches in total around my body. I highly recommend Built By G's programs.

    All I can say is do it. Started off after a breakup wanting to lose 85lbs. (Ex broke my heart but not my spirit!!!) Hired Glayol and told her I want to look like a Greek god. She told me everything I needed to follow and made it super easy to lose weight. The rest was up to me. I did everything she said after fighting with her along the way. Thank God she was patient with me Almost a year later I'm writing this review as I've used the tactics and methods shes taught me to keep the weight off. I've gotten abit lazy- but that's on me. I'm going to go to the gym tonight but just stay strong and follow through for yourself. Definitely would recommend her for it

    Before working with Glayol, I managed to lose quite a bit of weight on my own, but I struggled with exercise form and consistent eating habits. I wanted to make sure I reach my goal of weight loss and muscle gain this time, and break out of my plateau. Glayol taught me new exercises I didn't feel confident to try on my own in the gym, helped me keep track of my diet by constantly checking my meals and providing feedback. I had to put in work to get the results I wanted by planning ahead with her suggestions, With her help, I was able to lose 10 lbs in 8 weeks and I'm already at my goal body fat. I am very close to my weight loss goal and definitely recommend Glayol as a coach for anyone struggling in their solo gym journey.

    If you put in the work, she's with you! When I met Glayol I wasn't sure this is what I wanted to do due to the price. With my wedding, buying a home, and new baby I didn't think I could make it work. Honestly, best investment I made for MYSELF. I went through a difficult month and she was super understanding and made a way to make it work. I lost 10 pounds in a month just by food, no exercise because she's been there every step. You'll get a check up weekly making sure you're doing what you're suppose to be doing and many other great perks! I'm still on my journey and so excited to see where it takes me. If you're committed, she's committed and she pushes you to make sure you're being a better you. The numbers don't lie and those receipts show!

Everyone is there to workout and really interested in the same goal. It's very welcoming. All the trainers are really great, but I especially love mine, Irene. She's so sweet and caring and she really pushes me to my limit, which is what I need in a trainer! We've been working together for a while now and I look forward to my sessions with Irene because I know I will get a great workout. She helps me stay focused when I want to stay focused as a trainer, but she's also a great friend. 10/10 recommend self made, but 20/10 recommend Irene.

The place is spacious compared to other workout studios I've been to in the area. The format is mainly 5 stations with an A & B exercise. You can start at any of the 5 stations & you'll do sets of the A workout followed by the B workout or vice versa. Monday/Wednesday is upper body Tuesday is lower body Thursday is glutes and abs Friday through the weekend is full body (this location isn't open Sunday so you'll have to hit up their other location) We've been going to the evening classes which are taught by Meghan. Who I'd say is one of our favorite instructors (we've been to two other instructor's classes). She's good with explaining and keeping time. They have all the equipment you could need to work every part of the body. The trainers genuinely care and personalize the program to your needs. Plenty of parking. Lockers are available with a code. It's a get-in, workout, get-out gym. There are no people, just hugging machines or standing around. Everyone is usually doing something, and so it motivates me to keep working out. It's never so busy that it gets uncomfortable. I have seen people of all ages, body types, and abilities here. It is a good mix of healthy people. Cons: No showers yet (they are expanding to include showers and a sauna soon) Only two restrooms. (I have never had to wait to use one, but you never know). Overall, this gym is pretty well organized. They offer plenty of trainers of all genders. I believe they also do rehab and physical therapy. There also is someone that comes to do massages. Everyone I have seen here is pretty friendly and polite. I have been training with Laura, and in the past three weeks, she took me from 0 pull-ups to 20 chin-ups, 1:20 plank to 3:30, and 15 push-ups to 42 in 2mins, and my strength overall has increased. The trainers are also so sweet & make you feel so welcomed! There's a water fountain & a vending machine with energy drinks, protein drinks & protein snacks, just Incase you forget yours. Love this because I'm always rushing out of the door! It also never gets super busy, like a commercial gym. So if you have gym anxiety, this is a great place to train! Love this gym if I could give it 100 stars, I would !
