I used Prowns about 15 years ago to have vertical blinds installed in my house and they did an…read moreoutstanding job from beginning to end. I now needed a new front screen door and after doing my research there are many contractors that will install a new front door or screen door that they usually purchase from Home Depot which sells the cheapest screen or front doors available and then they install it. I decided to give Prowns a call and find out if they installed screen doors which they do. This is a family business that still takes pride in their work and stands behind their work as well so I thought I'd give them a try again. They gave me a quote which was reasonable and in line with the other contractors that had also given me a quote so I decided to use them again. Also the company that manufactured the door is known for their high quality work didn't disappoint as their screen door is very well made and rock solid. Along the way the original company that gave Prowns the quote had changed their line of screen doors and the new door was more expensive but Prowns being a reputable company honored their original quote and didn't charge me a penny more, how many companies would do that! In any case the door was custom made (all their doors are custom designed to fit your exact door opening) and it fit perfectly and looks great and they showed up exactly when they said they would and did the install. A couple of days later I noticed that the door didn't close as it should, meaning that the door didn't close far enough for the bolt to close to the point where it should have been inside the door frame to secure it in place. I called them up and described the problem and they made an appointment for their tech to come back and fix the problem. They came back and adjusted the problem but within a day the problem has returned. I called them again and told them the problem wasn't quite fixed and they told me a tech would be back this afternoon, hopefully they'll be able to fix the root of the problem. Unfortunately these kind of issues happen when installing new materials in older homes or during the summer when building materials tend to expand and contract because of the temperature extremes that happen on a daily basis. My be point is that when you do business with a reputable company they'll come back and fix the problem until it's resolved whereas if you're lucky a freelance contractor might come back once or not at all. Prowns is servicing the issue with the problem concerning the door they sold me and that's old fashioned quality and honesty that is indeed rare especially in the field of home contracting. If you need any work concerning doors or windows or window treatments these are people that you want to do business with, which is probably why they've been in business about 75 years or more and anyone who's ever read my reviews knows that I'll give my fellow consumers the straight dope when it comes to a service because I don't like being taken advantage of and I don't want it to happen to anyone else.

Billy and Lou who completed the measurements and install, were prompt, respectful of my house and answered all my question. I was impressed on how their whole crew seamlessly worked together to get the job done quickly in 90 degree heat and they did a great job cleaning up. I didn't see one of their crew on their phone or even take a break. They worked non-stop replacing 16 windows in less than 7 hours. My windows look and work great, we were impressed with the shu molding around all the windows to complete the look. Billy even offered to come back anytime to show me how to work the "tilt" part of the windows for cleaning purposes. I 100% recommend Prown's.

When I first purchased this piece, the doors still had their original glass, but unfortunately, they were cracked and beyond saving. One of the glass shelves was also missing, so I decided to have Morris Plate Glass fabricate a replacement that would fit perfectly. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and professional. Their team was friendly, attentive, and clearly took pride in their craft. They listened carefully to what I needed, measured everything precisely, and even made sure the glass matched the original look and feel of the cabinet as closely as possible. The turnaround time was about a week, which I thought was very reasonable for a custom project. When I picked up the finished pieces, I was blown away by the quality. The glass fit perfectly, the edges were clean and polished, and the overall craftsmanship was exceptional. It's clear they put real care and attention into their work, which means a lot when you're restoring something unique and irreplaceable. They really worked with me to get the pricing to where the insurance would accept the quote, and after quoting a few different companies they were competitively priced. They were very accommodating when I had to postpone the install a few days before they were to begin siding. Communication was generally very good, they showed up on time and finished the job in a timely manner. There was a small issue at end of job, but they were very receptive and out immediately to take care of my concerns. Overall a very good company and I would definitely recommend them.

We have a big issue with this company's customer support. We hired them to replace the siding on…read morethe 45-year-old manufactured home that we bought 30 years ago. When they removed the old siding they uncovered some cosmetic damage to the foundation. They said they couldn't re-cover the area with siding, as doing so would void the manufacturer's warranty. Nor could they repair the "damage" themselves because, as they said, "We're a siding company, not masons". Thus, tens of thousands of dollars later our home was an eyesore and Keystone was no where in sight. In the end I was able to fix the problem myself; a mason was not even required. I feel, though, that Keystone should have offered just a hint of customer support by fixing a relatively simple problem themselves, or at least suggesting someone who could do the work. So though they did a good job installing the siding, I would never hire them again, nor recommend that anyone else do so.

It's been a couple of months since they finished it and I still can't believe how beautiful and functional it is. Jake, Nick and Mike make a great leadership team. They employ top notch craftsmen. There wasn't a single thing that I asked for that they weren't able to accomplish. I've heard horror stories about all the cabinets having scratches, etc., but every single scratch was fixed or replaced before I had a chance to say a word. Every feature was installed exactly as we had discussed. We received high quality cabinets and countertop. The job entailed knocking down a wall and starting from the studs. New walls with custom tiling, new hard wood floors, new appliances, new plumbing and electric. All of this was done for about $20,000 less than the average from the research that I've done. Jake, Nick and Mike were very responsive, even on weekends! We have no complaints. I would highly recommend.
