Every time I called or spoke to someone, they were so kind, willing to answer every question I had and assured me that everything would be perfect. They were right. The space for the carousel is for 50 people because that is how many chairs they have available. We had over 50 people there and you never felt crammed or squashed. There was SO much space. We had entertainers come and they had room to set up and put on their shows as well. They park provides 6 rectangular tables for guests to sit at as well as 3 other tables that could be used to food, gifts, favors..etc. The carousel operator ( I wish I would have remembered her name) was amazing- she was so kind and attentive and even gave the baby a t shirt! The staff working at the concession was also so helpful in letting us unload the food and drinks prior to the party start time. A special thank you to Emily who really went above and beyond to make sure everything went right. The weather was perfect too and it helps that the entire carousel section is covered so even if its hot outside, it was nice and shaded. Our guests were raving about this party for many days afterwards. We even had many native Staten Islanders who had come there for the first time. They will definitely be returning. I want to have every party there from now on. So if you schedule a big order, make sure you pick the time accordingly to give them more time to prep your food, or what we did was, when we got to the place at 5pm, we told them we made an online food order for 630pm. They couldnt see our order yet so they copied our order down from our receipt and gave it to the kitchen so they could start prepping our order Ive hosted 2 parties here before and they went great. My cousin wanted to host a party here, but she decided last minute (day of) so she wasnt able to book birthday party. However, we still went in regularly and found our own tables to sit at and they let us bring a birthday cake. We bought pass cards and points for all the kids using my Gold fun pass. 1000 play points only came out to about $110. For 10 kids, each kid had 100 points which is a good start, may last them like 1.5-2 hours depending on what games they play and how fast they play it. Can always add more points if needed. Food was 50% off and we saved over $170.

It'll eventually come back to you lol. The wall is in good condition; no cracks on it or the floors. Lines are clear. Definitely one of the best places to play on Staten Island.

The weight room is decent with most of the standard machines - chest press, bicep curl, leg press, cable fly, crunch machine, lat pulldown, etc. The weight room is lacking a power rack or squat rack which is huge. Not ideal for people who are serious into lifting. However, there is a flat bench press. The heaviest dumbbell set went up to 60 lbs (for some reason, there is a lone 65 lbs dumbbell) which is an improvement from the Ocean Breeze Rec Center (pair of 50 lbs dumbbell heaviest). The weight room is a bit uncomfortably warm during winter when I went here often two years ago. However, the cardio room felt like the perfect temperature to do cardio in - if I remember correctly, the windows were normally opened, and the cardio equipment were generally OK. The treadmills were fine, but the ellipticals and stationary bikes felt lower quality (not much resistance on them). The second floor of this rec center was interesting - there is a room for ping pong, another room for gaming (board games and XBox), and another room with computers. I saw some college-age looking students working in the computer rooms when I went. Overall, a pretty decent facility if you are into general fitness/health.
