First stop, pick a stuffed animal
    Liz B.

I've decided the more a parent dreads going someplace the more a child will want to go there. Build-A-Bear is never high on my list, but my daughter would do anything to stop by. This makes it an excellent bribe. All parents need a list of good bribes. Add this place to your list. You'll be surprised what your kids will be willing to do if it means a trip to BAB. This location has been very busy lately. The staff is still adorable and friendly even though they probably go home each night picking stuffing out if their hair. They'll help your offspring pick out a critter to stuff and then lead them on the magical (expensive) journey of making the stuffed toy special. They have everything you could think of to accessorize these toys. Clothing, jewelry, furniture, cars, even little pairs of roller skates and underpants. You could easily kill an hour in here. My daughter spends an insane amount of time picking out the outfits for her newest creation. I don't think we've ever left here in under 30 minutes or without spending at least 30 dollars. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We have a small collection of BABs. All of them have held up well, so I guess they are worth the higher price tag. Plus you're paying for the experience, so I get it. Sign up for their emails and you'll be alerted to sales. You can also buy the "skins" (yes, they call the unstuffed critters "skins") online and bring them into the store to be stuffed. They run deals online that they don't run in the store, so advance planning can save you some cash. I will say that adding some chairs for parents to slowly die on while waiting on their children to finally decide on a glittery tutu would be a great addition. Perhaps a BAB mixologist too? Hey, a mom can dream, right? :D

Seam on unicorn back opened up two inches.

For now, they get two stars. I may change my rating; time will tell. My 8 & 9 yr olds got Twinkle the Unicorn and Stars the Bear on June 2nd, 2018 at 6 pm. By 3 pm June 3rd, BOTH Twinkle and Stars backs opened up and needed to be repaired. I called the store and they said "No problem, just bring them in and we will re-sew them." I'm startled the sewing didn't even last 24 hours, and all my kids did was sleep with them! We paid $25.50 per animal, and purchased NO outfits (prices for clothes ranged from $8 for shoes all the way up to $20 for a shirt/pant/shoe set). It was a fun experience and the kids LOVED making their own bears / unicorns with birth certificates...but get this. My 9 yr old son made a RIP sign for his bear after the seam opened up, he was so sad about it. Not cool. Pics attached.

We recently had a bachelorette party at BAB and were helped by Kaitlyn, who really made our day special. Our bride really wanted to have a fun quirky bachelorette and Kaitlyn made that happen with her bright personality and sense of humor. Thank you for making our day!!

Sheltered us as a tornado passed nearby after we got locked out of Coach. Amazing team, so grateful.

Now the treehouse was a little bit dirty, but I think it's probably the time of the year and that it was really damp and wet during our visit. There's a place for you to have lunch. The employees there were more than helpful and friendly . Facility was very clean and well organized.

We came for a half price studio feed which ended up being $4/ person. Aside from the below average customer service the facility itself smelt incredibly unpleasant. It smelt like a sewer the whole time and the smell never left the whole 90 minutes we were there. Pieces range in all prices- I think they're standard compared to other places. I'd come back if the smell wasn't so potent.

You can't see the options and feel intrusive squeaking by painting customers while they're focused on their pottery. We had some miscommunication on availability of the pottery item we were looking for - coasters/tiles. The employee "helping" sent us off to try and find the item we were looking for rather than assisting us. 2 - Service is bleak at best. These kids don't have any customer service foresight. We were never checked on during our almost 2 hours spent painting there. 3 - Majority of the paint pens were not functioning. Many paint cups were very low volume or empty. No one seemed to be servicing the supplies. 4 - The birthday party in the back space was poorly managed. Back in the day they used to have a host and distribute paints to the kids at the table. I was shocked, and annoyed the kids were allowed to go up and select from all the larger paint selections for the whole shop which continually caused traffic jams for all customers. Being next to the paint area was stressful with lots of people constantly moving around us. On another note, there was no party host from the employees other than getting the kids their pottery. I can't imagine tipping for that "service". 5 - Speaking of tipping - tip apparently is included in any purchase here?? There wasn't an option to enter $0.00 into the CC machine. We had 8 tiles ($7/each - [shocking... and I guess shame on us for not asking how much each cost] + 2 studio fees (a rip off considering we collaborately painted 3 of our 8 items). Our total was $90. HAVING TO pay 15% tip FOR NO SERVICE was bitter icing on a crappy cake. Honestly, not sure I'll be back.

Shout Out to Service Beyond Measure -- All Thanks to Milla…read more Let me be honest. Kids' birthday parties at event venues are usually something I brace myself for, not something I look forward to. I showed up simply to support my friend and celebrate her daughter Olivia, fully prepared for noise, chaos, and a long countdown to cake. Then Milla stepped in and completely flipped the script. From the moment we arrived, Milla set the tone. She greeted everyone with genuine warmth and confidence, the kind that instantly puts both kids and adults at ease. No one was rushed, no one was overlooked. She had a calm command of the room and made it clear she truly cared about the experience we were having. Milla didn't just manage the party, she elevated it. She was patient with the kids, attentive with the adults, and carried a bright, authentic smile the entire time. Not once did it feel forced. Watching her interact with everyone, it was obvious she was raised with strong values and an even stronger work ethic. She went above and beyond in every sense, anticipating needs before they were voiced and making the entire event run effortlessly. I even found myself telling other guests, without hesitation, that I would hire her in a heartbeat. It's funny how sometimes the biggest lesson in customer service comes from the youngest person in the room. Milla turned an event I expected to tolerate into one I truly enjoyed. Service beyond measure wasn't just a phrase yesterday. It was Milla.

It's pretty dirty. Especially the toddler areas, the toy shelves are coated with dust and dirt.read more
