We went in there with about 15 of us. We all each got build a bears during the Thanksgiving week. They weren't really busy when we got there, but by the time we left, they were packed. There was two ladies in there handling everything quite well. They stayed patient friendly, and organized. They have about 20 to 30 different bears to choose in a selection of about 50 different clothing items. I would say I wish they had a few more modern things. However, we got about 15 bears for under 500 bucks so was a decent deal with the buy one get one for $15 we let everybody pick out which Bear they wanted and it kind of worked out for us read more

The Waterford Lakes location is the better choice to build your bear! It's roomy and in the middle of the Waterford Lakes shopping center which makes it both accessible and convenient. There is a photo opportunity the second you walk inside with a giant friendly bear to pose with. You then select your new friend from the many selections along the wall at various prices. The staff here are not only pleasantly helpful but put on quite a cute show for the children as they fill their new chosen friend with fluff and take them through the process of kissing a tiny plush heart to place inside and love forever. There are many add ons such as scents, a beating heart add in (this literally makes the entire stuffed animal pulse as if alive when pressed) as well as a recordable sound add on too for personalized messages. You can select outfits and accessories as well as a cinched bag or the traditional new home box to take them home in. You also get to fill in the birth certificate and name your pet at a computer station. I much prefer the store front locations rather than the mall kiosks as in the mall they lose the charm of entering that build a bear world as you never "leave" the mall for that atmosphere. I took my daughter to get s bear in her birthday, they have this promotion in which you pay the child's age during their birthday month, my daughter turns 6, so it cost us $6 for their birthday bear. it was very cute, the whole choosing, making the bear, my daughter felt special and I'm sure she will remember. The staff was attentive, and made my daughter feel special, it was an experience for her. Now the price your age promo only includes the bear itself, clothes and accessories are not included. My daughter chose a swimsuit for hers, and the total was around $25 for everything. Plus, next day my daughter got some grandparents money and made me took her again to get another outfit for and shoes. We really enjoyed the day, she got her birthday bear, and got an experience out if it. I definitely recommended. read more

This Build A Bear is pretty amazing. The staff was super friendly, patient, and helpful! I love that build a bear has a pay your age Bear. This is a great deal if you have a young child. The prices of the other plush are a bit pricy. I would say the clothes are the bigger sticker shocker. It just seemed like it would be cheaper to go buy some baby clothes to shove the bear in. I love that this store is more a traditional build a bear style store. I wish they still had the bear bath section from years ago. Overall we had a very positive experience, just wish the prices were a bit lower. read more

The staff working the day we went were so patient and helpful in picking out a memorial plush for his favorite human. Besides the sad context, it was really fun releasing my inner-child and picking out cute accessories, pointing out models based on my favorite franchises, and putting everything together at the end. The staff even helped us have a ceremony for our bear, and it was honestly the cutest poem ever! Regardless of how old you are or how many times you've done this, definitely don't opt out - it's part of the magic! This location is a relatively new addition to the Waterford Lakes Plaza, and it's a great option for gifts, date night, or just to make cute memories in general. I remember them being more expensive as a kid, but they had a few for $20 in-store and $15 online, along with some 2 for $45 deals on the more expensive plushes. Currently, the store has a promotion for a 50% off gift card when you spend a certain amount, which I will be using to make the most of holiday deals! All-in-all, we purchased the "timeless bear," a recorder, the original box, and a gift card for about $35. When you walk inside, you're immediately greeted by their mascot and the large swirling tube of fluff. I appreciated how clean and organized everything was, even the screens on the customer tablets. They had a large wall in the back to take photos with your new friends too. It's honestly just a neat thing to do and a great location overall! read more

Nice, new location! Unfortunately, I would not go back to this location. It was my first time at a build a bear and my son is 3 so I vaguely understood the process. The lady working stayed on the computer for a good five minutes until I asked her for help. I guess I just figured more customer interactions. We had picked out the bear and sound and she still kind of stood there. She was nice when it came to the whole stuffing part but then we were just kind of hanging around. They weren't giving off a very people-person vibe, which I think is odd at a place like this. Nonetheless we made a cute bear and left semi irritated. read more

I took my daughter here to celebrate her 3rd birthday and it was our first time building a bear. They offer a Birthday Bear for you to build which will cost the same age as your child is turning. Totally cool concept, but my daughter wanted a doggie from Paw Patrol, however, we will go back before the end of the month for her $3 bear. The experience was cute and not only did she pick out a stuffed animal but she got to select the heart design that would be placed inside as well as the voice/soundbox which is optional. Now the girl who made my daughter's doggie forgot to add the voicebox in the foot prior to stuffing it and tried to stuff it in the paw after she realized her mistake, but it's more like in the leg now than the foot where the push button is supposed to be. We just dealt with it. Once the bear is built you can get outfits and accessories which add up quickly. Between 3 kids getting bears created and outfits and accessories it was almost $200. Definitely a pricey experience but it's not like it's something you do on a regular basis. Worth doing at least once. read more
