This is one of those local bars you won't forget. Well why you ask? for one, the sunken bar and the second reason has got to be world famous chicken wings. For those two reasons alone I don't think I'll ever forget bugsy. Yeah the wings are kind of skimpy so maybe saying that they are world famous is a little bit of a stretch but they're pretty good. And I'm sure you'll remember scarfing down these little bad boys, They're tasty fried just right and all the sauces we're good on the wings and you can get 20 of them suckers for under ten bucks, try to do that at Hooters. Yeah the place is full of locals and most of them are pretty damn grumpy, yelling back and forth across the bar, making this place feel a little unpleasant. But at the same time if your one of the locals or you enjoy that kind of stuff then you'll probably go five stars. But for me it was more like 3 or 3 1/2 I'm sure I'll be back one time or another, I got to go back for the wings, or maybe try some other stuff on the menu. And maybe the locals will let me sit at that low sunken bar. Good times at bugsy's you got to check it out. read more

I'm always on the hunt for good chicken wings so when I stumbled upon this place with the sign "best chicken wings in North America" of course we had to try. It did NOT disappoint. Came here on a Friday around dinner time and the service was excellent. Cold, cheap beer. Wings exceeded high expectations. The buffalo and garlic weren't your generic sauced wings- you could tell these were made in house. So good. The fries and their ranch were also amazing. Such a good find. This place has turned into a joke of a restaurant/ bar. Half the time it's louder than a kid rock concert in there. The other half you don't see a server for over 30 minutes. Today I went there for dinner and the sign says .35 cent wings on Wednesday, all week. However today the signs promoting a happy hour special. Walk in and wings are full price and there excuse is staffing. How does staffing affect the price of a chicken wing. Whatever I order the wings at full price which is $20. A dollar a wing. I personally have bought wings directly from the supplier and that price is way over what they charge. So i order 20 wings and a fry the waitress then comes back to our table and says they're out of fries. How the hell is a restaurant and bar out of fries. Also if you spend more than $30 dollars they automatically charge you an 18% gratuity. Just seems completely ridiculous that they would automatically assume a tip for 30 dollars . Which is pretty easy to spend when the wing prices are stupid high 20 Wings and a fry (if they have them) is $30 dollars in its self. If you order a beer drink it slow because by the time you see your waitress again it will be 30 minutes. Wish this place never sold and never remodeled. Jon Taffer needs to come save this place. This is my FAV place of late. Chicken Wings is a main course. Frankly, I've had two different sandwiches, three sides, of course the wings and always consistently good. Pours are good. This pub has a good vibe-long stretching bar, lots o seats, 2 pool tables. Plenty of TV,s. Not a true sports bar, but pretty cool place. Had potato skins, loaded. This review is for the wings only, as they are only doing carry out due to the COVID-19 pandemic (next year we will look back on this). They are also remodeling the place. So...on to the wings...I have driven pass this place a few times from time to time and noticed the sign out stating to have the best wings ever. Carryout only is a minimum of 20 wings for 10 bucks, not bad. We chose the house sauce (garlic) and honey bbq and they were both equally good. The bbq had a distinct smokey flavor to them, while the garlic is just the right amount of garlic flavor and a small kick. The flavors/wings were the best I've ever had and the best part about it that they are smaller wings, not the huge fatty wings you'd get from a bdubs or so. I didn't try any of their additional food items, as its a dive bar and its purpose was for something quick and fast. There was only one server, but service was good. The beers are pricey and the food was average at best. They charge 18 percent tip for bills over $30 which was not a problem as service was good and I usually tip 20 percent. The place was freezing and everyone had their coats on. I've never been here before today, but if you have not tried this place, please do! The staff behind the bar was very nice and willing to strike up a conversation, and the beers on tap are great, the burger I ordered was cooked perfectly and tasted awesome, the atmosphere for me was top notch. So I feel like I need to start with the wings of course! .35¢ a piece with a drink, They are small but so worth it. We tried all three flavors; Garlic, Bbq and House. House was my favorite which was more of a dry rub! We also had fries and salad which were all good! The bar wasn't anything amazing.. Just your basic bar. Typical bar with cheap wings and beer. Looking for wings in Michigan and came across this bar which was really dark when I entered which surprised me a little. Came in seeing the $0.35 wings before 7pm and had to try the 20 wings for $7. Tried their house and bbq flavour options and also got a 22oz Bud for $2.50, overall bill for less than $10. The wings itself was small which I guess explains the price a little. The bbq sauce was good but a little too sweet. The house was a dry rub wing with a bit of a kick to it which I like but it was a bit on the salty side. Also tried their loaded nachos which was ok but I think their wings are better. My husband and I came back into town from a long drive. We were starving and wanted something good, cheap and relatively quick. This place fit the bill in all categories. We split a basket of fries (4 bucks) and 20 wings (8 bucks) with the garlic toss, ranch & bbq sauce on side. I was so full. The wings were crispy, flavorful and hot. The fries were perfectly cooked. Hole in the wall atmosphere, lights strung up on the ceiling, 2 pool tables in the back, extensive modern/digital jukebox, and an outdoor patio in the back. This place is never NOT been busy and I have a hunch it's b/c the chicken wings they boast as "best wings in North America" on their signage. This is a dive bar, plain and simple. It's a great place to get cheap wings and beer. You walk in grab a seat and wait for the server to come to you or you can head to the bar and order. It's a blue collar worker hangout spot. In my time there i heard some crude conversations and saw a woman pee herself before making it to the washroom. I went in late monday afternoon for the wings and observed and you already spot out the inebriated folks. Very disappointed today. Servers were so busy that we had to wait along time. New server was not very nice. My burger was dry, no onions had to ask for salt, pepper,mustard and ketchup it took forever. The one bartender seem to be doing most of the work. Then to automatically add on gratuity with no knowledge to us. Mind you there were 3 of us and bill was like 40$. They need to post it on menu and on door when you come in. The one server said its been since the new year. Lol we have been here since then. The other bartender said they just added it. We always tip well. Bugsy's is my late night go to dive bar of choice. Whenever I'm hungry and looking for a late night drink and snack I always come here to grab their famous wings and whatever the drink of the month is. The wings are at a great price and full of flavor, 20 wings for $9. Side Note: One of my buddies came here and got one of their specials, meatloaf + mashed potatoes + corn? + some other side for only $10. I regret not getting what he got. My favorite watering hole besides Paul Revere's in East Lansing during the college days. They've made a lot of updates recently and the place is looking great. But it's still a local dive, and that's why I love it. I love my Friday night bartenders Tammy and Jess. They have food, but to me it's secondary. People come here to drink. It's a somewhat gruff crowd, I'd say mostly older biker or blue collar type dudes. All really nice people though. But who am I kidding, by the time I leave I probably wouldn't be able to tell you the next day who was actually there. read more

It was my first time trying Bugsy's, a friend was talking highly about their wings. So we all got carry out and we ordered a salad and asked for no blue cheese and they put in on there, so we called to see if we could get a new salad and add wings to the order because a friend got here after we ordered, and they took such good care of us, they gave us a new salad and comped the wings for us. I love when businesses take care of their customers, I will most definitely be back because those wings were crazy! They were some of the best wings I've had! I wish I took a picture of the wings, they're 8$ for 20 wings which is crazy lol, they're super small wings but they're jam packed with flavor and for 8$ you can't go wrong. read more

Cozy little bar. Not too loud, especially for a building this small. Staff have been running around very busy, but still quite friendly. My preference is small, comfortable bars and this fits the bill in every regard. read more
