They have a pretty good wine and beer selection, but they shine on their signature cocktails, of which there are so many that I could not reasonably list here, some of which rotate out regularly to keep variety up. Everything, and I mean *everything*, is reasonably priced, if not outright cheap. (5 stars) Service: Usually just a single bartender, except during shift changes, but the place is small enough, that is more than enough. All the 'tenders are friendly and efficient. (5 stars) Facilities: Martine's is located in a strip mall along Metairie Road. It's easily accessible from the Bonnebel exit off I-10. Signage is ample, but you have to be familiar with the turns along the street to be prepared to find it. There is some parking out front, and, as one goes to bars mainly at night, there isn't any competition for space then. There is a pool table, video poker, and what looks to be a non-functioning/unplugged pinball machine (never asked about it). The inside is smallish, and can probably hold about 50 people seated, including tables and bar stools. There is also outside seating available. It's clean, but, for whatever reason, the cigarette smoke lingers in the place. The management is aware and tries to work with customers on this angle. The decor is appropriate, with a saloon feel to it. (4 stars) Bonus 1: free pizza weeknights Bonus 2: free wings on Wednesday with Trivia Overall: The only things I dislike about this place are that it isn't walking distance from my place and the heavy cigarette smoke that makes my eyes burn. Check it out, especially if you like trivia (4 stars)

The inside has side entrances that open to the outside area. Three major gripes... The place is wheelchair accessible as far as getting on the "porch." There is a ramp for it. But when asked whether there was a ramp to actually get inside to order a drink, we were told there is none. Disappointingly enough, none of the employees came near the entrance to make ordering easier. We had masks on, they did not, so it did not make sense why none of them came closer. The bar had no other patrons. Next, I am admittedly more apprehensive about sanitation, or a lack thereof, now. I was a bit taken aback that the whole process of making drinks and taking our order was done without gloves. I would not have cared had the bartender simply made drinks but squeezing the lemon and dropping it in the drink with her bare hands rattled my spirit. I don't know--maybe I'm being too anal. I just think proper hand washing or sanitation is more important than ever during COVID. Third, my friend was sure his Crown Apple was mixed with something else. We drink it enough to know. LOL. On this point, I will not say with 100% certainty it was diluted or mixed, but he was certain it was. Overall, I do not think this bar is terrible. It's a typical Metairie bar that sits in the middle of the suburbs. I also do not think it's unwise to stop in for a drink or to hang out. These are just my complaints.

This is a perfect example of a Metry dive bar…read more A friend invited me to this bar one night for a drink. Little did I know I was in for some serious culture shock. As my GPS directed me to this residential area, I was concerned that I may be in the wrong place. I saw the sign and knew I wasn't, so I headed for the door, or what I thought was the door. I am used to businesses having an entrance in the front center. This entrance was on the side, as if I were entering a house. My drinking buddy was already at the bar, so I pulled up a stool and ordered an Abita. The beer was cold and only $3.25. The bartender was very friendly. i attributed this to the fact that she told me she had been drinking since two. Normally I frown upon drinking and working, but it worked for her. This bar has karaoke, but didn't have any Lil Wayne, B.G. or Juvenile. Because the Nola rap selection was lacking, i was unable to impress the crowd with my amazing rap skills. They did have P-Control by Prince, but even after listening to his version, I wasn't drunk enough to attempt it. Oh well, there is always next time. This bar had some awesome things going for it. Here are some examples: Behind the bar was a woman with a flat iron straightening her hair. An older gentleman with an amazing mullet. The bartender making it rain with napkins, then bending at the waist to pick them up all while shaking her moneymaker. A very cool conversation with a singer about the origins of the Edmund Fitzgerald melody. I want to rate this bar higher because of the awesome things going on, but I just cant. While I enjoyed it, this isn't the area I would normally go out.

There's a decent sized parking lot here and the interior and outside grounds are very well kept. We chose to sit outside, plenty of seating with shade for most. Starting off with shrimp toast and heirloom tomatoes was a good start to our lunch experience. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my wife got the fresh pasta. We were blown away by both dishes. Juicy chicken with peppers on ciabatta bread and fries to write home about. The pasta was in pesto that seemed freshly made and the grilled chicken thighs we added was fantastic. Thoroughly impressed with the food here but only second to our waiter as far as the total experience. It was a bearded young gentleman, I didn't catch his name but he took care of us and was very attentive. Completely impressed with this establishment and I'd recommend any and all to check this place out.

Our time was for 4:45 and since we went before 6, it was only $15 for the hour(weekday price) which is reasonably priced. The place is smaller than I thought it would be, as there are only 5 bays for the games, but still nice. Once we arrived the host showed us the screen all the games were on and how to select the games. Each bay comes with the different equipment needed for the games. We were going to play a baseball game, but our bay didn't have the stand to put the baseball on so you could hit it. I told one of the workers and she said she would get the stand from another bay. She looked and couldn't find a baseball stand at any of the bays. So I will say that's something they could improve on making sure they have the proper equipment for all the games. Besides that, we had fun. 1 hour was enough time for the 2 of us to try out different games. If you have more than 2 people I'd suggest getting more time. After we played we decided to eat. The menu has a lot of stuff to choose from, and there's a barcode at the top that you can scan that shows you pictures of most of the items on the menu. I like this because you can see how the food will look before you get it. My friend was going to order the sweet and spicy burger but they were out of the sauce, so she decided to order the Philly cheese steak. She wanted sweet potato fries, but they were out of those too so she got the truffle fries. I ordered the Chipped n chicken with a side salad and Brussel sprouts. The side salad was a nice size and was good. Food came out in a decent amount of time and we enjoyed it. My friend was surprised her Philly was on regular bread vs a roll but enjoyed it nonetheless. I enjoyed my chicken and Brussel sprouts. They give you a good bit of Brussel sprouts and I couldn't finish it because I was full. I will just say that Brussel sprouts are the only vegetables available as a side and it doesn't mention that it has bacon on it. I can eat bacon, but just thought I'd mention for those who may not eat it or who may be vegetarian. Food is priced well as there's only 1 item on there over $20. While there I also saw that they have trivia nights sometime and a recent advertisement for bingo but the music version so it's called singo. I'll be back to try more of the menu and to play more games.
