Bugong is kinda of like a poor man's Kenny Rogers. It's almost the same chicken, roasted and marinated in herbs and spices. Ever since Bugong opened near our office, it has become the first choice in roasted chicken. It's affordable, flavourful and a little less walk from the office :p
I always order the meal that comes with a quarter chicken, rice, and gravy. I pair my chicken with kimchi rice, just so I could get a little more spice with every spoonful. I sometimes also doused the rice in gravy, which can be weird for some but delicious for me :p
And while Bugong's famous with their roasted chicken, there's 2 entries in the menu that I think is commendable. There's the Pasta Victoria, with sauce that has salted egg mixed in it. You can really taste the texture of salted egg in there! There's also the Poori Pockets that we like. It crispy poori pockets (unleavend deep friend Indian bread), with vegetables, and shreds of chicken in it. If you are going for a light lunch, this is the thing to order at bugong! read more
