Grilled Chicken and Pork sold in kiosks usually found in the streets, like Baliwag, Andok's, Sr. Pedro and Chooks to go (to name a few) has long been our salvation food in the house whenever we don't have ulam (home-cooked dish). But sometimes, I also get fed up with these marinated grilled Chicken/Pork and wish that kiosks of other meat dishes will be available in the streets as well.
I was looking for an event's place in Mindanao Avenue one day when the signage of Tatang's Bonless Lechon caught my attention. It was just a small stall with crispy baked boneless lechon belly on a stick rolling behind the glass covered grill. This pork belly stall is just refreshing to see from the usual grilled chicken and liempo kiosks! I tried it and the taste didn't fail me either, its soft and juicy meat is oozing with flavors of herbs and spices!
Tatang's have two branches in the Metro as of now, one is in Gilmore and the other one in Mindano Ave. Pass by any of the two sometime and order their famous boneless lechon belly. It is definitely a must-try! read more
