The Daner has been fat shamed lol and fired as a client :(…read more After I scheduled a string of periodic appointments for my Girl awhile back, I got a text message from Spaw Day canceling this appointments because the groomer had injured her wrist and would be unable to work on a house-horse of Girl's stature. (Idk...*i* think she's a freakin petite specimen. Positively svelte. :) hahaha) Checked in on their site today and it seems as though they're permanently not accepting clients that weigh more than 60#. I don't think I'll ever have a pup *that* small again - we house BEASTS up in this cul de sac. Sigh. SpawDay *was* great, while it lasted.

Dog review I have a…read morevery calm and loving 16.5 pound cockapoo service animal. Everyone just loves him and he loves them back. I'm kinda bummed... Prices are VERY high at this groomer. I expected $65 maybe $85 for a hair and nails cut. I had no idea I'd be paying $124 plus a 15% tip = $143.16 for the service! They are the most Expensive dog grooming shop I've ever paid for in my entire life and I'm originally from Dana Point California (Orange County)! It's a super expensive area. I asked around to other shops here in San Antonio and they were appalled at what I was charged. I didn't expect to pay such a high price for grooming services here in Texas! First, they will screen your dog to see if they are aggressive, over weight or needs special attention. Frankie is none of those. They told me it would be a 3 week wait but I only had to wait a couple days so I am thankful for that. The groomers showed up late, about 45 minutes. She charged me extra because my dog is a little scared of water and is being groomed by a new human. She called it more care because he was nervous & wiggly. He's a dog for cryin out loud. They missed the teddy bear summer cut I asked for. My dog's hair grows as fast as weeds. They missed his tail and feet and the ears are uneven. Overall he looked choppy and rushed. When I reached out to ask if they would fix it the owner was condescending and said they were early to their next appointment so if I would have done it that day she could have come back. I ask, why then where they early to their next appointment? I think for a small dog these are outrageous prices and I felt like my little non aggressive, loving dog was a hassle for them. Two girls who came out today, the owner and a new groomer. I suppose, I paid for two people?!? I'm a bit disappointed with the gouging prices. When it came time to pay I felt forced to give her a tip. None of my dog groomers have ever complained about my dog. They were more sensitive to my dogs needs over the groomers needs. I guess it's hard to be caring so they charge you extra for that. The price she was going to charge me was not clear going into the process. If I had known it was going to be that much I would have went elsewhere. They did give me dog treats but I told her to keep them because my dog is not a dog bone treat kinda dog. I figured she could use it for another client and not waste her product on my dog. After all of this I called my dog groomer in California and she was actually upset that I was paying so much in a state that has less gas and regulatory costs than California. Gas is over $4 a gallon there but not here in Texas. I would understand that price in CA. Unfortunately, I will NEVER use their services again. Maybe she wanted me to never call her again, that's why the price was so high?! She has no idea I'm a Yelper. That's how I found her. They were friendly but that is sorta expected in the service industry. I will have to get his tail & ears done somewhere else now. Sad, I paid a fortune and did not get the cut I was expecting. I groom my dog all the time but not at $146.16 that's double the price I've ever paid anywhere else. Save your money and go somewhere else for your dog grooming needs.

Upon arrival, we had a very positive experience. The facility was very clean and the front staff,…read morealong with Amber, was very attentive. The technician was kind to our pet, but I was surprised that no one initially checked our pet's temperature or assessed his condition based on his symptoms; we had to remind the staff to do so before we left. Dr. C made a poor initial impression with his curt demeanor. He seemed short and almost dismissive of our pet's situation. For instance, he did not introduce himself when he came in and after a brief greeting, he pointed to the table for our dog and began his assessment without allowing us to provide input. He was halfway out the door before he finally asked if we had any questions. However, It came off as more of a formality versus actually caring if we had any questions and addressing them. The initial interaction, lasting less than two minutes, felt rushed and impersonal, reflecting poor bedside manner. However, Dr. C significantly redeemed himself when he returned with the medications and was very polite and more attentive. Additionally, a gentleman named Alex was extremely kind and helpful, answering many of my questions and putting my mind at ease in the reception lobby. Overall, our experience mostly positive and if I had to point out any areas of improvement , it would be the overall bedside manners that the doctor provided with patients. With that being said, I would return.

I'm really disappointed with my experience here. On multiple occasions, the wrong service was done…read moreon my dog even though I clearly communicated what I wanted. While I understand that mistakes can happen, it became frustrating that it occurred more than once. I will say that when the correct service is done, the grooming itself is usually decent, it has just been difficult getting the correct service performed. Toward the end, they did acknowledge the situation, but it felt more focused on what I could have done differently rather than fully taking responsibility. I did want the bath and nail trim, but the most important service I requested was the shave. Unfortunately, the shave was not done. At checkout, I was initially told the total would be around $100 for the bath even though the main service I requested was not completed. I ultimately paid $66 for services that were not what I had asked for. When my dog was brought back to me, I was told he had been shaved to 5/8, which he clearly was not. After reviewing the groomer's notes, I was told he had received a contour and butt trim services I had declined at the beginning when they were offered. I had specifically asked for the same shave he received during his previous visit. I do acknowledge there may have been some miscommunication at the front desk, and I understand that mistakes happen. However, when it happens more than once, it becomes difficult to overlook. I also felt uncomfortable bringing my dog back to have it corrected because I worried I might be viewed as a difficult customer, and I never want to feel concerned about how that could affect how my dog is treated. Customer service and clear communication are extremely important when trusting someone with your pet. After reading some of the owner's responses to other Google reviews, the replies came across as unprofessional and poorly written. While I understand wanting to defend your business, the tone of those responses was disappointing. After giving several chances, I unfortunately don't feel comfortable bringing my dog back. I hope the facility works on improving customer service, as it is one of the most important aspects of running a business.
