I never felt pressured or upsold. In fact, the services spoke for themselves because they really are that comprehensive. Even after leaving, Daniel continued answering additional questions I thought of later, which I really appreciated as a first time Florida homeowner navigating termite and pest prevention. Once I signed up, they had a technician out to my property in less than 24 hours to install new termite stations. They installed more than double the number of stations my previous company had, and their treatment covers both types of termites instead of only Eastern subterranean termites like my last provider offered. I used Bug Out for monthly service in the past and never had a problem, which is exactly why this experience is so disappointing. I cancelled in January to cut costs. A couple of months later, I called for a quote on ant treatment. I was told I'd get a callback with pricing. I never got one. Instead, I received a service summary by email with an approval signature that was not mine, I never spoke to anyone in person, signed anything, or approved this service. I called immediately. The representative I spoke with assured me nothing had been approved or scheduled, and that the consultant, Dale Brooks, would call me to explain the email. He never called. The next day, they showed up and serviced my yard anyway, without my authorization. I called again to dispute the charge, explained that my signature had been falsified, and made clear I would not pay $150 for a service I never approved. I was told there was no bill or card on file, so I wouldn't be charged. Two weeks later, an invoice for $150 arrived in the mail. I called a third time. I was told the charge would be "appealed" and likely removed. That was three weeks ago. I just got an email reminder demanding payment for a service I never authorized. This isn't a billing mistake, it's an unapproved service pushed through on a forged signature, followed by three separate phone calls where I was given the runaround. I would not trust this company near my home or my money. read more

Customer service is outstanding and that's where it stops. My neighbors on either side of me and across the street do their own lawn maintenance and their lawns look great. I am paying over $450 for my lawn service and I constantly have nothing but issues. Weeds everywhere and now it's chinch bugs. The last time the technician came he sprayed for chinch bugs an said he would be back in a week to spray again and that was almost three weeks ago. The last five times he came to treat my yard he was here less than two minutes each time. I will be cancelling my service and doing it myself because I'm sick and tired of getting ripped off. read more

Ever since they were taken over by the bigger company my experience has gone down hill. -Yard looks terrible. Tech just shrugs his shoulders when I show him problems in the lawn. -They don't show up for scheduled service appointments -They raised my monthly fee and never bothered to notify me. Technicians are professional, polite and conscientious. They will come out to retreat at no additional charge if I need them in between the regular scheduled services. They do it all - indoor bugs, outdoor bugs, termites, rats, lawn treatment, shrub treatments, palm trees, and they even do insulation that has pest control in it. read more

I was minding my own business on Thursday 2/28/19 and watched the Bug Out technician perform routine pest service outside. Later Thur afternoon, I received a telephone call from another Bug Out representative reporting he received a Bug Out report indicating that we had a severe rodent problem and he wanted to stop by and check on the rodent issue. I "assumed" this was a routine follow-up but was surprised that the first Bug Out rep did report a severe rodent problem in his write-up. After all, WHY do I have Bug Out in the first place? The second Bug Out technician was dressed very nicely and had a pleasant demeanor..... (looks can be deceiving?) Bug Out technician #2 put on a coverall suit & booties and proceeded to crawl under my house and through the attic for 90 minutes. He then knocked on my door and reviewed 20+ photos he had taken under my house and in the attic. He had a picture of rat skeleton that was caught in a Bug Out trap in the attic and a squirrel tail he supposedly found under the house! He proceeded to report he had worked up a multi-approach plan to fix my severe rodent problem! The Bug Out multi-approach plan written estimate ranged from $10,300 to $13,500, based on how many inches of "rat proof" insulation I wanted to add. Silly me never knew that Bug Out offers insulation that has an ingredient that prevents rodents from nesting in insulation? WHY do I have Bug Out in the first place? Remember the first time you had a root canal or a dental implant and the epiphany hit you that dentists do not make their "large" money on fillings and routine checkups? I had a similar epiphany with Bug Out..... dawned on me that Bug Out has added a very profitable revenue stream to their host of services. ..... WHY do I have Bug Out in the first place?? I don't have much trust or faith in Bug Out at this point! I will consider a local pest control company going forward. read more

Never use this fraud-ridden company. I sold my home in August in Yulee, FL and they have continued to charge my credit card even after I called them on three different occasions and told me they would correct the situation. Spoke to Brittany who is completely useless as a customer service representative. All she would do is apologize (over and over again) and told me she would correct the billing situation and have her manager call me. Nothing ever happened and they just charged my account again! Manager NEVER called me back as well. This company is horrendous to deal with, nothing but lip service and is a nightmare to deal with! Buyer beware and DON'T ever contract with this company!!! We had bug out come out 8/18 specifically for ants in our YARD that bite. My husband said that over the phone when we hired them and I said that to man who did the service. Within 2 days I had already noticed a new ant mount in the yard but I thought it took awhile for whatever they did to work. Nope. Bugs have been worse in the yard since the treatment. We paid almost $90 for what?? I really don't know. It did nothing for our pest issues in our yard. In fact I've noticed more bugs of all kinds since the service. The serviceman was done in less than 30 minutes and I know he missed the front garden where I told him the ants were very bad and kept asking if we needed the inside done as well even though we had both stated we needed the ants in the YARD taken care of. Honestly I was more effective when I used the sprayer my husband got at the hardware store. Won't use this service again and I sincerely recommend anyone not waste their money. read more

Awful service. They just want to Take money and not terabyte any kind of bread mediations for the problems you have in your yard or home.

They love taking the money out, but haven't seen a serviceman in about two months. Tried to handle it on the phone, never got a call back. If my bank can't issue a stop payment, I'll just close my bank account to get away from these thieves. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy read more

I have been with bug out for almost 2 years. This branch is a joke. Including the branch manager Matt. they never took care of my pest problems at my home. Then he refused to cancel my policy until I left him a message about call my bank to put it as fraudulent. & when talking with Matt he said if I stayed with bug out that he would fix my pest problem. After 2 years of payments now they want to help me out. they charged me every month but only came out every 3 months. & they only sprayed in my house 1 time The whole time I've been with bug out. look elsewhere. they are in business to do pest control & they charge for a service that they don't provide. read more

This was the worst customer service I have experienced. SMH. Had to call them twice to get a quote. They never called me back and I never received a quote. The two "customer service" agents I spoke with were smug, unfriendly, and seemed baffled about servicing a vessel. Um, really? People do live on boats. We live on a boat and had a great experience with Kelly Pest Control before. They sounded like morons. Called Nadars and immediately received a quote AND offered same day service. Called back to BugOut pretty angry and THAT was when a supervisor FINALLY got on the phone with worthless apologies. No business from this customer and more than happy write a crappy review in return for the crappy customer service. read more

I have had problems with Bug Out billing service and sales representative Kevin Klee since I requested service in March 2019. He never return your calls and you have to follow up with him when he promise he will take care of the situation. Today I called again because he never called me back after he promised for the fourth time. After I advised the service was not close to being "Remarkable" and I needed my billing situation handled. Kevin advised again the person that handle this was not in the office. I advised this was unacceptable and he hung up on me. I tried calling back and he sent me to voicemail. I will not recommend anyone to your company! read more

auto deduct from checking worked fine for several months. now 3 months in a row they have messed up. i have overdraft protection (and $1800 in the account) so there is no reason they don't get paid. 3 months in a row i have to spend time on the phone to straighten out what they did wrong. i don't have termites but they are turning into a bigger pest. read more
