We found a hole in the brick outside of our bedroom window with a steady stream of yellow jackets flying in and out. It explained why we had recently been finding an occasional one inside our home too. We immediately started call all the "bee people" that we could find and they either were not accepting new clients or had a month wait. I was panicked because we were stuck in a time crunch. We had windows being installed in a week and a half from when we discovered the hive in the wall. I reached out to A2Z at 8:00 am and immediately got ahold of Sheri who was so knowledgeable, kind and reassuring! I explained the situation and sent her the video we had taken. Scott was at our house treating that same day. He came back every single day until they were gone. I can't express my gratitude enough. It was very nerve wrecking to know that thousands of bees had made their home in our bedroom wall. Thanks to their quick action, we are bee free and can keep the scheduled window install that we've been waiting for.

I just now had the pleasure of meeting Scott when he arrived for my 11am appointment right on time…read more I had called A2Z regarding a nocturnal critter that had taken up residence between the main and upper floor of my home, keeping us awake at night with its scratching noise. When Scott knocked on the door, he informed me that my problem was a squirrel, and showed me where the critter was getting in. When he arrived he had noticed a squirrel using the Comcast cable as a bridge between a front yard tree and the house and following the cable, found the critter entry hole before knocking on my door. Since A2Z does not deal with squirrels, he recommended that I call a trapper to address the squirrel problem and seal the access hole. Despite having driven several miles to my home, Scott did not charge me anything for his service call. His fairness and honesty is very much appreciated, and guarantees that A2Z will be my pest control service for any future pest control needs. Thanks Scott!

Apparently Orkin doesn't want my business. I spoke with someone named Mike on Friday 5/11/23 and…read morescheduled an appointment for Saturday 5/12 between 2-4. I locked my cats in a room at 1:45 and put my dog on a leash so he would be contained during the service. I received both an email and a text at 2:15 saying Joe was on the way. At 4:15 when there was still no sign of Joe I called the 877 number and spoke with Donna. She apologized and assured me that someone would be to my house by 5. At 5:15 the cats were still locked up without a litter box and the dog still on a leash but still no Orkin technician. I called again & spoke with Dena. She apologized and said she'd escalate my complaint (No one showed at scheduled time nor at the in the extended time). Dena also said she would call me personally on Sunday 5/13 morning to make sure someone had been in touch (no one called, including Dena). Saturday evening I sent an email to the branch manager, Forrest. He called me twice that evening to ask questions and to apologize that no one had showed. I wanted it done asap because I still had ants so he said we could have someone come on Sunday. I didn't want to waste another 3 plus hours to have no one show again, I wanted a set time. He said that Betty (Washington manager?) would call me at 8:30 am on Sunday 5/13 to set a time. Forrest, the manager said he would give me a discount. Great but I already used a coupon for the same amount. He said he'd give me more of a price break, yay, great value if the service had worked. At 10 am Sunday I hadn't heard from Betty so I called the local Washington PA office and talked to her. She apologized (there's an apology theme here even if no actual work is done). She said someone would come before noon. My answer was no, I wanted a set time because I wasn't wasting half my day again. Betty got snarky and said she couldn't predict traffic (neither can I but I manage to show up and get to my work and appointments on time) but we set the time for noon. A nice man named Steve showed up Sunday at around 11:45. Great. The discount was not on the bill so I told him about it. He called the office to confirm then added the extra discount. Steve didn't investigate where the ants were entering but he treated the house by putting dabs of product down in some areas. He couldn't spray around the outside because it was raining. He did put dry product around the outside. I asked if I could call and request the spray and he said yes but it would be someone else because this was not his usual area. I thanked him for coming. On Wednesday 5/17 someone named Brittany called and asked how the service went. Does she really want to know?? I told her great when someone finally arrived after my hounding them for 2 days. But I still have ants. She said she'd have Sean, another technician, call to discuss it and to apply more product and spray around the outside. If you guessed Sean never called, congrats, you got BINGO! I called Brittany on Monday, 5/22 morning. She told me she'd reach out to Sean personally. This brings us to tonight, Monday evening, still no call for them to treat again. And the ant population, which never completely went away, is now back and thriving. I chose Orkin because they offer a guarantee, have great reviews and someone recommended them to me. I'm still surprised by the lack of professionalism, missed appointments and the complete failure to rid my home of ants for more than 3 days.

They know what they are doing and are strategic and effective. It is without hesitation that I would recommend Three Rivers Wildlife Control and will definitely call them again when needed.

I hired Three Rivers Wildlife Control to address a skunk issue on our property (photo available)…read more At the first visit, the owner, Steve Ronick, said there was definitive evidence of a skunk under our porch. He pointed out an entry hole, odor, and burrow holes, stating there was "definitely a skunk." The skunk scent was ID'd under the porch as strongest by Steve's assistant. At one point, they even set a trap in our basement because the smell was so pungent. Before agreeing to pay, I asked, "What happens if you don't catch anything?" He replied, "That's never happened before." Based on that assurance, I paid the requested $500 cash upfront (no option to pay with card). He warned the skunk would be pregnant by April and that we'd have a bigger issue when she gave birth. That fear, combined with his guarantee, led us to move forward. Over two months, Steve and his assistant made approximately four visits and failed to catch anything. Our home was sprayed again during that time. His excuses shifted--from cold weather to springtime activity--but no results ever came. We also hired a $175 cleaning service after a second spray--an avoidable cost had the job been done correctly. The service was sloppy. On one visit, they brought inadequate bait and asked us for jelly. They left the open jar of jelly and a chicken tender bag on our patio, which were rummaged through overnight. At one point, I suggested marshmallows (a method recommended by another trapper), but they refused, saying raccoons would eat it--this would create more work for them with trapping. We have since installed cameras that now show abundant wildlife activity--raccoons, foxes, groundhogs, and squirrels. All small animals they should have been catching but didn't. They missed appointments, failed to follow up, and didn't return calls unless we reached out. We should have known after the first interaction, when we had agreed to touch base via phone at 3 PM before he came over to our home. By 3:40, I hadn't heard from him and texted to ask if we were still on. He didn't arrive until several hours later. After 2 months of no progress, Steve reluctantly agreed to refund $350--but that doesn't absolve him of the full $500 owed. He claimed he was keeping $150 because we "used the traps." The equipment stayed only because he failed to finish the job. Despite promising $350, he initially left only $300 in our mailbox. He said he'd bring the remaining $50 on April 21, but didn't. He eventually did bring us the remaining $50, late, citing "an emergency with his dog." We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, who reached out to Steve on our behalf. He failed to respond within the allotted 14 days and further action is pending.
