I noticed that I had yellow jackets flying in and out of a hole in an exterior wall of my house. Last year, one of my neighbor's had mentioned Bee Control, so I looked up this company on Yelp and Google. I called the business's phone number, and the owner Steve told me a rough price and his available appointments. A few days later, an employee arrived at my house on time. He spoke very courteously to me. He looked at both the exterior and interior of my house. He drilled holes in an interior room so he could apply a product to kill the yellow jackets, and he applied a residual chemical to the exterior wall. He also noticed and removed an old hornets' nest from above my front door. The service lasted about one hour, and the total cost was a few hundred dollars, which I paid with a check. The employee told me that the yellow jackets' eggs will hatch over the next several days, but the colony should die within 21 days. If I still see yellow jackets flying around after 21 days, then I should call Bee Control to return for another treatment. Update: Over 21 days have passed, and I no longer see yellow jackets.
