I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.

Enter Skate Country it's a bit of a drive for us but it's very nice it's always clean the rink floor is big and very kept up. They have arcade games and the DJ plays great jams (even some hits from my generation ). During the Summer, we have been going on the week days 11am-4pm make sure to check the schedule on their website before you go. The weekends are a little crazy with several birthday parties and lots of kids so we try to stick to week days. They also have themed nights which sounds so fun!! The staff is super nice and they have skate monitors who watch the kids on the skate floor and offer assistance to kids & adults when necessary. My family absolutely loves coming here to skate & we are so glad we found this place!!!

Everyone was "wanded" and men wearing caps had to take them off. Even ladies who had been screened had their bags searched again inside. It was a lot and made me wonder what has happened there in the past, or what did they expect to happen that night? An what would they have done if it had been raining?

The animals were fun, The hayride was fun, they had fireworks on the night that we went and that was pretty cool, but the maze was actually super easy. I really wanted to get lost but because the corn stalks are not that tall you can literally find your way back to the exit. Regardless of that it was a great place to go on a date night not too far from Atlanta. I'll probably be going back to pick some strawberries in the spring!

Never have I seen so many people standing around, walking around, yet so little getting actually getting done. Our server finally came to our table after we've been waiting for 15 min. I ordered everything. Drinks didn't come out so I had to ask the host to order the drinks and he was nice enough to oblige. 30 min goes by. I haven't seen our server anywhere. Completely disappeared. There are tons of orders sitting there under a heat lamp. People looking like they're just waiting. For what? For the food to be ready? Well there it is! People keep coming and going into this employee entrance looking like they're busy doing something important but I wonder what. Finally our server appears to ask "how are we doing"? Huh? What about the food? She says she'll check on it. It was just sitting there under a heat lamp for god knows how long. Now all dried out. Advice to manage: get this place sorted out. Come up with efficient processes to get food out to people ASAP. Dedicated food runners who run our food as soon as it's ready. Something! Oh and the best employee there was the bartender. The venue is relatively new, handicap accessible. Ample free parking. They have a wonderful atrium with comfortable and abundant seating you can use while waiting for the rest of your group. It also contains a small but interesting museum about the City of Buford which is free but does accept donations. The theater has comfortable seats and there are no obstructions! All seats have a great view of the stage area. This is a great place for meetup groups, Red Hat Society events, or just plain couples or singles going out. The staff are extremely friendly. Wine and Beer are sold before the shows and during intermission. Check out their website for upcoming productions. I have not been disappointed.
