Really great tasting typical carry out order or buffet style Chinese restaurant. Friendly and customer oriented staff . Got the crab Rangoons here as an appetizer, large portion of 10, great price for so many. Also ordered vegetarian lo mein and it was delicious! LOTS of vegetables, and a decent amount of sauce. The egg drop soup is what you'd expect but still taste great and they give you the correct fried noodles to top it off. The only sad part was that the fortune cookies were stale. This is a pretty run-of-the-mill Chinese buffet. You have a variety of hot entrees, rice, lo mein, spring rolls, rangoons, soups, seafood, and desserts to choose from and they're pretti good about keeping new trays coming out when stuff gets low. The dessert bar even has a chest freezer with several hard dip ice cream flavors to choose from. They also actually do takeout and have a large menu of takeout options at reasonable prices. The buffet runs a little under $13 with a drink - less if you just get water. It's not high-end food, but it's good for what it is. read more

Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. We're new to town and learned the hard way this isn't a good place to eat. The first plate my boyfriend picked up had food on it. All the food looked mostly okay, but after a few bites my stomach started feeling sick. And what we did eat before walking out didn't taste all that fresh either. On top of all that they are way over priced for such sub par food. Go in if you want but we definitely won't be coming back again. read more

Think about what exactly this place is before you give it a bad review. It's a Chinese buffet, not a hibachi grill. This place does what they are supposed to do as a Chinese buffet and their customer service is top notch. Food is how it's supposed to be AT A CHINESE BUFFET. I love this place! It's been around forever, and even though I moved away 10 years ago, I still try to go everytime I visit my parents. It's very consistent, Americanized, quality food. The prices are very reasonable and it's a great, quick carry-out option. The buffet is good and has a lot of options. There are probably 20-30 Chinese dishes and almost as many non-Chinese options (mac and cheese, french fries, baked fish, chicken wings, spinach, salad bar, etc.). I was there recently on a Sunday afternoon at 2:00 and was disappointed that they weren't refilling many of the dishes but I understood as my mom and I were the only customers for most of our dining experience! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for Chinese! read more

Everything here was tasteless. I expected more of the peanut chicken. (Which in my walk through was the only thing that looked like it might have been good IMO.) It wasn't sweet enough for me just peanuts and blandness. Compared to other Chinese eateries this place is below par. The chef here does not know how to make good tasting food. For the good, the staff was very friendly and service was absolutely perfect. They were very attentive to us and gave us excellent service. My wife and I frequent the Buffet King. The latest visit was late May 2016. Catered for the locals, the buffet offers a versatile assortment of various "Chinese" staples (Egg Rolls, Sweet/Sour chicken, Egg Foo Young, General Tso chicken, etc), along with limited salad bar, soups (Wonton, Egg Drop, Hot and Sour), "American" items (pizza, baked salmon, french fries, chicken nuggets), and even sushi. They have experimented with a few different foods items, but overall, the spread stays consistent. Overall, the restaurant is the standard buffet in regards to ambience. The owners are very friendly, attentive, and family-oriented. This is a very good place for feeding a hungry family on a budget. read more

I've been around this part of the Midwest for most of my life, and I didn't know this place existed! It is stuck back in the corner behind Bob EvaN'S's, next to Little Ceasar's, and is easy to miss. it was later in the evening, about an hour before closing. the food was dried and tasteless, some of they sticky foods (General Tzao's) were stuck to the bottom of thew warming pans. The rice, steamed and fried, was old and crusty. Stuffed mushroom had a consistency of parchment paper. But then again, this IS a buffet. Probably not the best choice at 8:00 PM opn a Thursday! The Peanut Butter chicken showed promises, as did the Beef and Broccoli. I LIKED the Egg Drop soup, which seemed to have been refreshed just before I arrived. I think this place has some promise if you plan your visit during busy hours when the food is turned over frequently, but for a late evening visit, try the little hole-inp-the-wall [place a couple of blocks south. read more
