Came in with a family of 5. Didn't think it would be TOO bad. We payed 15 per person, which is way too much for what we got. The place is very old, bathrooms are dirty, and it was very empty when we went. Sushi they have tasted bland, not much flavor. There was not much food, so I tried most of it. For a buffet place is pretty good. We went very late so a lot of the sushi was running out but there's so many options to eat from. Got super stuffed with food and overall had a good time. Best thing is that it was super cheap!! Def will be coming here to eat again! read more

Very clean and well stocked buffet. Prices are also very reasonable, $7.99 for lunch, $10.99 for dinner. Drink is not included. I did find coupons in a local coupon book for $1.00 off lunch, $2.00 off dinner. Very friendly service. Prompt refills on soda. read more

I am highly disappointed of the restaurants cleanliness and customer service! Please stay away from this place! Dirty, and yes you will get sick! I saw a cleaning lady with blue cleaning rag cleaning the buffet and than I saw her coming out a bathroom stall after using the bathroom with the same blue rag! She washed her hands and left the bathroom with that same rag which she continued to clean the buffet. I was completely disgusted and went to cash out. I told the clerk that I refused to pay since we only had one plate plus after what I have just witnessed. She ended up giving us a 20% discount (which she said that's the only thing she could do) and I just payed and promise never to return again... On the way home I ended up having to pull over to throw up and as soon as I got home I threw up again. Please have the owner or corporate contact me. Thank you! UPDATE: No one as of yet has contacted me and it's already 2017! I had food poisoning for a week. Poor management and the owner should sell the place instead of making people sick. read more

Do not eat there...the food was cold and customer's were scraping bottom to get what food that was there , it was cold and who wants to eat cold food. Been there before but found out today if you have a complaint they just ingore you..they don't care not even the manager...no apologies ..they did not care paid my bill as could not eat cold food. Sorry to say this but my experience was awful! Everything was cold and flavorless. When you are serving you feel that the employees are chasing you just to accommodate the spoon you just used to serve yourself. I had not even finished eating and they were already bringing me the check and waiting there for me to take the money out with the wipe in hand ready to clean. No personal space at all. And if you thought it could not be worse I ended up intoxicated, throwing everything up. At least The waiter was kind. read more

Horrible Buffett this is the first time I have ever been to a Buffett and left hungry. Horrible food everything was greasy undercooked, and even something so basic as a decent sushi was nasty, it is like the water they used to cook the rice was faucet water. 1st off I was asked about my daughters age which is fine, then my sister who is on the little shorter side was asked about her age 2 times (she's 21). 2nd there was a dirty table behind us, where filled cups and empty cups were. When asked if we wanted a refill she grabbed a full cup from dirty table and handed it to us. Mind you we didn't drink it, cause she grabbed it from a dirty table. They were constantly refilling and stocking the buffet line. They also have cook to order selections. The food all tastes fresh and it is very clean! The service is friendly and attentive. Sorry but I have to agree with so many of the reviewers here. We had a big party of 13 so we looked for a place that coukd accomdate us, and this pme did. Seems like it must have fallen in hard times. The staff was very friendly but we also waited what seemed like forever for refills of our drinks. Additionally the restaurant was not all that clean. We went later on a weekend so I assumed that they just got over a rush. The food was typical Chinese buffet fare and nothing really stuck out as tasty, nor fresh. I have slightly low expectations of Chinese buffets, simply because the vast majority of buffets have to produce quantity over quality unless you charge $30 per person like Disney does. So, I tend to eat at buffets expecting a 'three star' experience. It's not a bad thing, just my expectations. Buffet City came highly recommended by a customer of mine, so I brought the wife the other day. We arrived in time for lunch, which was reasonably priced. The room was around 40% capacity and with a low buzz in the air, which was a good sign. We were shown to a table, drinks ordered and proceeded to the buffet. The food seemed like staple fare, so we filled our plates. Once we began eating, we noticed the utensils were quite dirty and we had no drinks yet. After a bit, we had drinks, but about three minutes into eating, both my wife and I felt sick after both having the Honey Chicken. I'm completely willing to assume it was one bad batch, but the place is pretty out of the way for us, and I think we'll stick to places a bit more local to us in the future. read more

Awful, pitiful, and downright disgraceful. This whole restaurant is a health hazard. A lot of the items are cold, undercooked and downright disgusting. The restaurant smells damp, musty and like mildew/fungus. Water leaking from the ceiling! Even the hibachi is nasty which is what I usually look forward to from a buffet. The fried doughnuts were hard and not edible and I would not even touch anything seafood related from the buffet. This place needs to be shut down cause this is an abomination of an establishment. The Hot and Sour soup never disappoints. there are just too many other tasty things to describe (the stirfry, sushi, shrimp several ways, mussels, etc) so you'll have to go and try them yourself. I went yesterday with my parents it is only $6.99 for lunch and they have so much food as well as a mongolian grill. a salad and a sushi bar! I am a vegetarian and they had a great selection: egg rolls, lomein, friend rice, tempura vegetables, pizza, bread, mac/cheese, pasta salads and much more! I was able to build my own salad, then have veggie sushi: avocado, mix greens, and sweet potato. I came out of there like I ate a $20 meal. Well worth the money. read more

I have been here a few times now and I feel it has been hit or miss sometimes but overall I like it. I do think for the price it is more than worth the money. The restaurant is quite large and open. Always appears very clean. The staff seats you when you come in almost right away and takes your drink order. The selection is more than enough to satisfy anyone's craving. They have a large selection of sushi and sashimi and are willing to make some if you don't like what they have made. I like sushi without seweed so they make it for me. The sushi is worth the price alone. They have the usual items as expected on the buffet including good size mussels which is one of my favorites. The mongolian grill is a nice touch, you pick items for them to cook and they make it right in front of you. They also have more specialty items that are on the after 4pm menu but nothing that would make me want to pay an extra 3.00. For an extra 5.99 on top of the extra 3.00 they have crab legs. There is more than enough as I said on the regular menu. I do feel at times that items could be hotter and refilled in a more timely matter. They are sell by the pound for take out. I would consider this with the mongolian grill. Our drinks were never empty and the waitress remembered that I like lime with my tea. (A nice touch). I have never had a bad interaction with the staff here. The bathrooms were clean on all the occasions that I was here but I do feel they should be updated a bit. They do offer a coupon in these little coupon books that are everywhere but you can't use it on the weekend. I am sure that there are probably better buffets out there but for the price and the location this one does the trick. read more

This place is okay compared to the Chinese buffet that use to be over by Valencia West campus. It seems this Buffet City plays more on quantity over quality. The flavor in the food is not where it should be. You can still make the food flavorful without loading it with salt. Guess what I'm trying to say that it's okay for what it is.
