I went tonight again :-)
All you can eat for €6.99 and €1 for a bottled drink (NOT €2 like the other review says)
Ok so yes, the chicken is all on the bone, as it often is in countries like India or the Middle East. That means that your tray ends up littered with bones by the end of the meal but when in Rome....
If you like your curries all fancy and well presented this wouldn't be for you - it is an all you can eat, self-service diner after all - but personally I think the taste of all the curried chicken and chickpea and lentil dishes is awesome and this alone makes it worthwhile for me.
It is clean? Clean enough. Is it quiet? Not really. Is it super friendly? Well, the staff seem to be one big family and seem to have a lot of friends who come in...
It's cheap, you can eat the equivalent of two meals if you're that way inclined and most of the clientele seem to be from Middle eastern countries, which to me is a plus when choosing where to eat my curries.
I don't tend to eat the European or Chinese meals, I'd say they're a bit average.
During the daytime I'd usually go down into the other buffets beside LIDL on the same street but Buffet 79 stays open later...
Whether you'll enjoy it I think will depend on what your priorities are.
Me? I love it. read more
