With his extensive experience in Europe and in Asia, travels around the world, and of course, him being from Italy -I might be biased here, but really, one of the best places for a gastronomic adventure; he can definitely rise to the occasion. Cucina offers international flavors that appeal to the local palate. The dishes weren't tweaked to the flavors that we're used to but were handpicked according to the ones that everyone would certainly like and find more than interesting. On weekdays, you'll get to indulge on Chef's Beet Cured Salmon with Crème Fraiche, Ossobucco ala Milanese with Soft Yellow Polenta, and Beef Cheek Couscous and Grilled Vegetable. While their Italian Porchetta Stuffed with Sun Dry Tomato and Black Olive Pate, Baked Salted Fish with Chef Giuseppe's Special Sauce, and Wild Mushroom Risotto are what await the hungry weekend warriors. The crowd favorite for the night would have to be the Beef Cheek Couscous, but my heart goes to the Italian Porchetta that I still can't get over.

It's good value for money and well worth the spend for an occasion. Sometimes, they have foie gras as a part of the selection, but I've only seen that happen once. I wish their Filipino station looked more appetizing. Sadly, the dishes appeared dry, like they had been sitting there a while, overlooked by the diners who preferred the pasta, seafood choices, and carving station. I must have had two plates of lobsters when I was last there on a Sunday night, though! I really enjoyed that, plus the service of the accommodating wait staff on duty.

It's not an everyday place you can dine at when you're a student on a budget but the meals here are still and always have been student friendly... like my go to veggie bopis or veggie burger. Better option is to kick off your shoes and stay in the mats strewn inside!

A community vegetarian diner that feels like an art gallery and a tea room with groovy décor…read moredoesn't seem out of place at all in the environs of the UP Diliman Campus, where the famed "hippie" counterculture is still known to be prevalent among the students. Likha Diwa sa Gulod in Krus na Ligas, a few minutes away from the main campus complex of UP Diliman, is a special retreat for those who want to break away from fast food and commercialized food establishments. The surroundings remind one of a secret garden, and the vibe of the place puts one at ease immediately. It is inviting, relaxing and very friendly to the soul. Likha Diwa is a vegetarian and seafood restaurant first and foremost, but it is also a community center for freethinkers and artistic individuals. The premises double as an art gallery where thought-provoking installations and exhibits are mounted on a regular basis. Guests can choose to sit on the low tables, or sit on soft throw pillows on the floor. The menu is extensive, with offerings ranging from Filipino favorites to Western dishes with a healthy and vegetarian twists. I particularly love the kare kare, which is a generous plate of tender vegetables, soft tofu and veggie-tuna meat (a kind of texturized vegetable protein that is a good and healthy substitute for pork or beef). I would usually order it with a serving of mountain rice, which is known to be healthier than white, well-milled rice. I also love the vegetable curry, which has the right amount of pungent and strong Indian spices. Likha Diwa has a very affordable buffet spread every Saturday. For P200, customers can eat as much healthy vegetarian food as they want. The themes are rotated every now so often, with Italian, Greek and Indian spreads repeating after several weekends. The place also sells good local coffee from Kalinga and Benguet .If you want to start eating healthy, try easing into Likha Diwa's menu which offers mostly delicious and heartwarming favorites. The dishes are packed with flavor and vitamis and so rich in character, you will forget that you are eating healthy. Furthermore, Likha Diwa also has a small eco store and gift shop where you can by organic cleaning agents and toiletries, and local handicrafts such as weavings, fabrics and decor.

Complaint Against Buffet 101 Glorietta 2 (Dine at your own risk)…read more This is to share our very disappointing experience at Buffet 101 Glorietta 2 during our family gathering on December 26, 2025 (lunch, 11:30 AM - 3:30PM). We were a group of 28 pax, celebrating our Christmas party, our late grandmother's death anniversary, December birthday celebrators, and a family reunion. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a joyful occasion turned into a frustrating and disrespectful experience due to the following: 1. Reservation Issue * We reserved the function room as early as November 11, 2025, with a 50% downpayment as required. * Prior to payment, my sister personally visited on Nov 10 and was ushered by 2 staff members to the function room. I also rechecked the venue the next day before making the payment. * I even received a call on Dec 25th to confirm our reservation in the function room. * Despite these, upon arrival on Dec 26, the receptionist claimed our reservation had no endorsement for the function room. We had to explain and insist, and only after waiting 10-15 minutes were we accommodated--because another group was already occupying the room we reserved. 2. Food Quality * While advertised as "unlimited refill," several food stations were incomplete. * Items like pork belly were served cold, and some stations had missing dishes, which was disappointing for a buffet of this caliber. 3. Birthday Presentation Mismanagement * Around 1:30-2 PM, staff offered the customary birthday sing-and-dance for our three celebrators. We agreed, expecting it to happen promptly. * Instead, staff delayed, setting up equipment but never performing. This wasted our scheduled time for parlor games, forcing us to cancel the presentation altogether. 4. Food Restock Cut-Off * At 2:30 PM, staff informed us that food restocking would end at 2:45 PM. We acknowledged this and thanked the member who informed us. * At 2:40 PM, I settled the remaining balance and even gave a tip--something I regretted after what happened next. 5. The Blackout Incident * At 3:10 PM., the lights in our function room were "unintentionally" turned off. Not for a second, but for several minutes. One by one, we went outside. * Only our room was affected, creating chaos as family members scrambled to gather belongings using phone flashlights. * Adding insult to injury, my brother lost ₱500, during the blackout. 6. Poor Handling & Lack of Compensation * Some of the relatives confronted the staff and manager in the lobby. The staff member/cashier responsible admitted it was "unintentional". The manager kept on repeating the same explanation as the cashier's, who switched off the lights, but never offered even a single good resolution. It seemed to us that he offered the staff member as the bait. They apologized, but the apology felt insincere. * When asked about compensation, the manager and staff fell silent. No courtesy check was done before switching off the lights, and no concrete resolution was offered. Additionally, no proper channels are available for such incidents except for platforms such as their Facebook page, Google Reviews, and TripAdvisor. * We remained diplomatic and respectful, with no cussing, but the lack of accountability was unacceptable! This experience left our entire family frustrated, disrespected, and disappointed. What should have been a day of celebration was ruined by poor management, lack of professionalism, and negligence. We sincerely hope Buffet 101 Glorietta 2 takes this as a lesson to improve customer service, reservation handling, food quality, and staff accountability. Families come to your establishment to celebrate milestones--please ensure they leave with happy memories, not frustration. And as I told your staff members that day: "If you were in our shoes, having fun and celebrating with your family members, how would you feel if the lights were suddenly turned off without warning? How would that make you feel?"

It is always a pleasant way to start your day during your hotel stay (do you see the rhyme? :P). My brother and I had the chance to eat breakfast at Crowne Plaza's Seven Corners when my mom was given a free overnight stay. We arrived a bit late (around 9AM) and ended up piling our plates will all the food we could get our hands on! The restaurant got its name because it has 7 food corners/stations: Seafood, Japanese/Sushi, Salad, Make your own Noodles/Soup, Carving, Pizza & Pasta, Dessert. They also serve international and Filipino food. I liked the interiors of Seven Corners; a little gloomy but quite relaxing atmosphere. Plus, guests were not rushing to the buffet line (unlike in other hotel buffets). Everyone was taking their time to select their food and were not wolfing down their meal. Aside from the overflowing bacon and the congee (a breakfast fave!), I loved that they served Taho for breakfast. I ended up eating 2 servings! Also, the pancakes were good but the waffles were a bit too chewy. Go for the cheese selection at the Cheese and Bread table. I think my brother was able to make himself a salmon with cream cheese bagel sandwich. The breakfast spread was not that wide as with other hotels. But, the overall quality of the food made up for it. Admittedly, there will be other better, bigger breakfast buffets in the city. However, those buffets will definitely cost you an arm and a leg! Here, you get a very decent breakfast selection for about Php1000++. That is not bad for a high-end hotel! If you're a breakfast person and you need a breakfast buffet to perk up your morning, eat here! :)
