I don't like everything here, and that's saying something for someone who loves food! Sometimes they let crowds get too out of hand when they have people who are drunk, and I don't really care for that. The drinks are good, and so are the deals. The staff always seems nice, and I've only had to wait once out of all of the times that I've been. Sometimes it is really loud, sometimes it is not, so if you have kids or something like that, I suggest you pay attention to what games are on and things like that. My kids are grown, so I don't worry about that, but I do have misophonia so sometimes it's a little too much to go during like a WVU game or UFC fight. Definitely a solid place for very good pub food. We were on our way back to Pittsburgh from Myrtle Beach and we're in this area around 5 PM. We were seated right away. None of the times that I placed an order were my orders ready when I was told by the app they would be... sometimes even 20 - 30 minutes later. I could leave my house at the time it says it's ready and still have to wait after driving 10 minutes. Then(and my biggest pet peeve), for me doing all the foot work(ordering, driving there, and going in to pick it up), they have the gall to ask for(on the app) and expect a freakin tip(and then get looked down on for not doing so)? Other than the wings, the salads and nachos were hugely inconsistent from one time to the next, as far as quantity and quality. The last time we ordered salads from there, we got very sick with indigestion and diarrhea... made me think it was purposely done, especially since I never tip for an online order. They might say, well, it's because they have to confirm your order, put it in a container and bag it... if that's the case, then I guess places like McDonalds, Burger King, and Arby's are doing it wrong. Stopped in for lunch on our way from NC to OH. Was a little concerned because of the low ratings but we are fans of BWW so we stopped anyway. We couldn't order online, so we had to go in. The location is up behind the Chevy dealership and has plenty of parking, even for our big RV. The inside was clean and we were greeted right away by a friendly host. She let us know it was her second day and grabbed someone to help her with the order. My husband ordered the sampler platter, which includes 6 boneless wings, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and ultimate nachos. I ordered 6 boneless wings (and because it was Thursday we got 6 more free) plus fries. We were told it would be a 15 minute wait, so we let them know we would be outside in our coach. I usually eat at Buffalo Wild Wings about once a year, simply because it is so bad. On this occasion, we were invited to lunch with some friends and this was the establishment of choice. The facility was not particularly busy on this day. The service was the star of this visit. We were seated quickly and began catching up. (Disclaimer) We were horrible customers as we were the type that were talking more than deciding what to eat. Our waitress came back 4 to 5 times to which we still had not decided. Our server was very patient and understanding. I ordered the wings with a variety of sauces. The wings were very dry and did not have much sauce. I did order celery and carrots with this and was given plenty of ranch and blue cheese. I see why this place only has a 3 star and that might be generous. It's now 12:53pm on a Football Sunday and these morons are still trying to figure out how to program the games on the 40+ TVs. Maybe if they started a little earlier they might have all the TVs set by game time. I came here for one reason; to catch the first quarter of the Stihler game on our way back to Charlotte. As expected they were still fiddling with the remotes and I missed the first series for the Stihlers. Chili cheese fries and traditional chicken wings to split among me, my wife and kiddos. I've been to a ton of Bdubs all over the country, and I have to say this is one of the worst. Let's start off with location. It's a bit hard to find this place to begin with. You think the GPS is wrong because you have to turn on some very narrow service road that winds up the side of a steep hill. It feels like this used to be an old goat trail or something. Once you get to the top, you see the restaurant and have to try to maneuver into the parking lot. Now onto the horrible service. I walked in and was hoping to grab some lunch. Was on a road trip so it was just me. The place was nearly deserted and the hostess said she could grab me a table in the family area or the bar section was open seating. I go and sit myself down and wait... and wait... and wait. A family is sat next to me and someone comes over and starts taking their orders. A young man comes over and asks if I sat myself. Why, yes, I did. He seems genuinely upset that I sat in his section and doesn't come back. About 5 mins later it looks like a young woman took pity on me and picked up my table. Apparently, the server wanted to get cut and didn't feel like picking up my table. Hey that's great, but without the customers, you wouldn't have a job. I'm a pretty understanding guy, if he had just told me that, I would have moved to an area that had service with no problems. I knew what I wanted, I'm low maintenance and I tip well. I'm easy money! Now the food. I guess between the young lady taking pity on me and picking up my table, my food was forgotten. A runner finally brought it and it was cold. No drink refills. I finally decided to give b-w's a try. The sample appetizer was great and I had high expectations for the 6 traditional/6 boneless wing combo I ordered. I selected the limited edition jalapeño sauce since we all know everything good is a limited edition. The waitress brought the food by, forgot the cole slaw, but not a big deal. I'd ask about it on her return. Fifteen minutes later she came and fixed the problem. Slaw should be made with Mayo. This was not; it also tasted stale. On to the wings---they were ok--actually they weren't. They were dry and leathery pieces of different sizes. The sauce had the consistency of snot, like it came from a bottle, and the jalapeño had no heat whatsoever. The atmosphere seemed cool at first but once I got over the sensory overload from the TVs it looked like a generic room that is poorly lit, noisy, and not socially distanced. There were empty tables yet everyone was placed near each other. Bottom line-- find a local drive for that authentic and memorable experience. The national chains are all about profits and sacrifice quality and service while still charging top dollar. Also, lastly, and most importantly----Worst.Fries.Ever. Where do I start? We bought $30 pp tickets for the Mayweather McGregor fight and showed up for the private event at 8pm. We knew where we were going to sit because we legit came in yesterday and picked out our seats with the server named Sarah. It was still a "wait until you're seated thing" when we showed up and we're like - "you showed us our seats yesterday. We know where to go."so Sarah let us go to our seats. Our waitress was ok, very not on top of orders though and had to come back every time we ordered something to ask "what did you want again?" I mean, wrote that stuff down if you can't remember an order. As it was the big fight night, you'd think they would have stocked up on beer...not so. We asked for 5-6 different beers and were told that they were out. How can you be out?! You knew there would be a Tom of people here...total failure by management. I ordered chicken tenders and asked them to be tossed in mango habanero and when they came out they were tossed. I was told it could be brought out on the side, I responded " I ordered them tossed." Apparently they only toss boneless wings and traditional wings but just can't figure out how to toss bigger versions of the boneless wings...very frustrating. My friends were told they could order a medium sized boneless wings with up to 4 sauces. The boneless wings came out unsauced bc the waitress told us the wrong thing. Apparently you can only get 3 sauces. So the wings went back and came out sauced 5 minutes later. Tonight was a complete breakdown with service, management, and the kitchen. So while my wife and I were visiting in town we went to Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters to see who had the better drinks, service, and wings. Hands down BWW wins in Beckley, not only was the service was great. But the drinks had the right ratios and were delicious as well. The wings were nice and fresh, we had the Parmesean Galic and Caribbean Jerk. The spices on both were great! The only downside we found were the outside lights didnt turn on until late. We were greeted immediately walking in, and from there the service was great. Everyone was very friendly. Manager even spoke to us. Our food all came out right, and we never had an empty glass. The staff was friendly , accommodating, and most of all FAST . I had very little time for a quick lunch , and worried about the time issues . I am happy to report that not only was it much faster than I imagined it would be , the presentation and plating was better than some other BWW locations I have visited . This location sits atop a hill and the driving entrance threw me because you could not see the facility from the entrance , however once atop the hill the parking was extremely flat and very very nice for those traveling/dining with people who may require handicapped parking due to the very large and flat lot . Like all BWW , ample open seating and views of multiple TV screens . Casual dining environment, average noise level , and a broad menu . Will definitely visit this location if travels place me back within the area . read more
