My bartender, when present, was effective. Unfortunately, she seemed more interested in another employee or her boyfriend at the opposite end of the bar. It took a fortnight to get the actual order placed. They have some good late night specials (some apps are $4), but beware of sneaky, hidden up charges. For example, I got the chips/queso. She asked me if I wanted the chili that comes with it...I thought this was a spice-related thing. I said sure. It was actually two ounces of chili soup that was an extra 60 cents. The ranch here is awful and tastes like food service 5 gallon stuff. The buffalo cauliflower was admittedly good...nice and crispy and a large portion. read more

Got a 10 piece wings here and proceeded to throw up for four hours. Not to mention service was quite slow

Food made me throw up in the bathroom. However the service was nice and I was downing sodas like a retard. Which is probably what made me vomit, will go back in the future and update my review. read more

Ordered 6 pieces trad wings with fries. 4 out of the 6 wings had feathers or whatever still on them , GROSS. I called to let them know and all they said was "yeah it's chicken" like yeah but never have I ate wings anywhere with feathers on them!! Didn't offer new ones or a refund. SMH. read more

The moment we walked in, Jose (the host) made us feel comfortable and made us laugh. He happily showed us to our table where we were served by Drake. Drake is the sweetest server we have ever had!! He was so attentive and was making sure everything exceed our expectations. I even talked to the manager about how good everything was (I didn't get his name but he was also kind). I love Buffalo Wild Wings and this location has the best food and service there is!!! They set the bar high for other places! read more

I ordered carry out from here and the app was lagging/didn't look like it processed my payment, so I ordered the same thing again. The order was a bacon cheeseburger, 12 wings, and fries. Come to the restaurant for pick up and there are 2 identical orders with my name on it. (Maybe they should call to confirm if someone places the same order within 10 mins of each other?) Laugh and bring the food home only to find out we are missing 6 wings from each bag and 1 side of fries. We unfortunately were charged for both orders and only received half our food. The food we got was tasty, but will not be ordering again from their app. read more

Monday nights are a great time to visit. We were seated right away and were served our beverages very quickly. Our waitress was quick, kind, and flexible with our requests. I tried a new to me Thai curry sauce, I finished my wings but I don't think ill order that flavor again personally. They did have a good beer special on Monday night. I don't know if they do that regularly or not but I enjoyed it. read more

Been waiting for fucking chips and queso for 2 hours. Me and my friends were about to go and make the food ourselves. The waiter is retarded and doesn't know what he's doin. He wouldn't give my gay friend his number. Please improve the speed as soon as possible or I will NOT BE COMING BACK. I've had it up to here ‍ with this fuckass service that I've received. read more

Walked in didn't get greeted, nor seated, just handed menus and told to find a seat near the bar. It reeks of stale beer and feet. Been waiting now for 40 plus minutes in our food that was ordered with a less than pleasant waitress. Ordered a mixed drink, took ten minutes for that, tastes blah. One half of the restaurant is shut down, and there are 9 individual customers throughout the whole restaurant. This is bs. Do better. read more

I just left the Ankeny location. The wings were so dry and horrible. Waitress said they probably were twice cooked??? Wtf. I ordered a 20 piece saucy wing and they came out in 2 minutes. Definitely not fresh. I had a gift card given to me. Ugh. I'll give it away. They were not even concerned ... paid full price . Ate 4 out of 20. read more

Have been to this Restaurant several times & it has gone completely downhill since 2010. Used be the best atmosphere for food & to watch the game..... Now, the food & service are terrible!!! Food takes forever to come out, then its cold, undercooked, wings are barely seasoned. I ve had to repeatedly ask for everything on multiple occasions (drinks, menus, refills, straws, silverware). It was probably a year since my last visit, but I decided to give em another chance. Now, I will NEVER go back. Not sure its poor management, but this seems to be a nationwide concern at several locations. For the high prices they charge, I expect much better... read more

Stopped for lunch with coworkers. Service was horrible. 2 received food and being gentleman waited for the rest of us. 10 min later 2 more, finally another nearly 10 min later last 2, which was mine. It had obviously been done a while as it was nearly cold. Now everyone at the tables food was also cold as they had been waiting. Table behind us received the same inconsistency. No drink refills as we ate. One of our group finally started waving his glass at employees as they walked past us. Food was fair. Obviously hard to tell when it was cold. Not the kitchens fault, so they get 2 stars. Service 0 read more

Well, ordered the kids meal for my kid and the sauce was wrong on the wings not too big of a deal but if you ever gave a kid a meal that was wrong it is kind of a big deal so I went back and asked them to fix it. The fix was to re sauce the same wings that I took back. And put them in the same container with the cold fries from an hour ago and give it back to me. Everything is cold, very poor judgment on the kitchen, staff and the management how unfortunate for me. Buyer beware. read more

My family and I arrived around 5:25pm and placed our order around 5:35pm, when the waitress first brought out our drinks from the 6 drinks that came in I noticed mine had no ice and everyone else's was, I made a comment about no ice being in my drink, the waitress replied with that it all melted before it got to me which made no sense at all because why would you give a customer a soda drink diluted with ice. After that we seriously waited an hour for a food and after that hour only 2 plates were brought out when there was 4 other of us waiting for our order. The waitress said the kitchen got slammed with online orders so ours kept getting pushed away while we all sat and waited like dumb asses. And I never had this happened to me before either but I left tip money on the table and was waiting on my change the waitress was acting like nothing and when I asked for my change she said "oh you want your change too?" read more

I Brought my husband here and I understand it's Father's Day and we showed up at 11:27pm when they close at 12am and once we walked in we were told no right off the bat just no we can't serve you and the front desk girl walked to another girl and they talked shit about us looking at us talking. Shit looking away covering her face and comes back and says sorry we can't so shift manager comes and says yes we can first of all you could of had a tip but you choose to talk shit about us like wtf is that and second of all the shift manager is super nice for trying to help take our order and apologize we got smoked brisket burgers and there was nothing on the sandwich the fries were flat out like refrigerator cold and saugy that's gross almost made me throw up we have been to southside Des mowing one and they are never this bad.But this one they were more focused on closing then helping us and the. The girl talking the most shit wants to come and act nice once I called her out I'm sorry but I've never had that experience and all I was trying to do was take my husband for some food after working late he deserves it being the dad he is just like every other dad should be able to enjoy our food but no we will not be showing back up here again. Anthonylaeigh is the shift manager and she is the one that felt super bad for us and could barely do anything about it which thankful for her trying we appreciate that but this place is a shitshow. read more

Best bdubs in the metro area! I've never had bad service in the multiple times I've been here over the last year or so. Seems like they have definitely improved. Food always comes out "hot and ready" as in one it's done it comes out, even if the rest of your food isn't ready, so be prepared for that. It is a corporate policy, not the fault of servers or other staff. We've sat at the bar multiple times with different bartenders and they've always been very quick and friendly! People should keep in mind that it's a sports bar and stop expecting 5 star steak house service. read more

Although I already had dinner prepared, a tuesday wing night craving had us venturing out to eat anyway. For .60 a wing, you can choose from any of the traditional flavors. This location, like most I've been to across the country was just average service and seemingly way over staffed. Why are there so many people working there all the time?? Nothing wrong with the food, standard wings and apps for us. Wings weren't too saucy which was a plus, I hate when they are drowning in the sauce. BWW is a good place to get cheap wings on Tuesday and watch sports on the big TVs. Average food and average service, but an easy draw because they are a well established chain. I will probably continue to come here once in a while when we get that wing itch. read more

Long wait times for food and service, cold fries, 5 mins before getting a fork and napkin, all while waiting for servers messing up on numerous of orders and a disfuncional team. Won't be surprised if this business closes by end of year. It's a mess. For the internal team, how did it get past the tests that the bacon chili burger was successful when you can't eat it without it sliding out from the bun on the first bite?! I had to eat it with a fork. Terrible execution. Good taste though. Terrible execution. I won't be back at this location. read more

First of all, bdubs has always let me down, but tonight was exceptionally bad. They were under staffed (on fathers day??), that was obvious as we waited 15 minutes to be seated while the place was more than half empty and we had 1 of 2 waitress who looked like she worked 10 hours prior. My brother ordered a sprite, and it was completely flat. Our food took another 30 minutes and everything came out cold. Everyone ordered boneless wings and I ordered "buffalo mac n cheese", which as you can see is a single layer of noodles coating the bottom of the plate and had little to no cheese actually on it, and the ndbread was a bun cut in half. My family never complains, but we had to this time. Manager apologized and for some reason looked completely shocked, also told me the mac n cheese looked fine and thats just how the portion regularly is. read more

Ordered take out with the BOGO Tuesday found out it is no longer BOGO but now it is BOGO half off. I arrived when they said my order was ready and was able to get it right away and head back home. I'm actually surprised that my favorite place back home. Here of all places is the most disgusting food and the people were complete jerks. Not to mention I ordered an hour in advance and it still wasn't ready when I went to pick it up. I wish you guys would improve. Both costumer service and the quality of the food. Cause boy let me tell you the fries where my favorite part and they were stale as SHIT. Not the high standard you're looking at for the high prices. The wings were also not cook throughly. Idk if you want old food and a high chance of getting salmonella. Let your hearts out. Not for me thanks. Do better. read more

One of the worst bdubs I've been to. The hostess what is blatantly rude and skipped our party and sat some teenagers instead. Then after waiting an hour after ordering my food came out cold. The celery had barbecue sauce on them like they were on someone else's plate My water tasted like chemicals. And my waitress completely ignored me when I asked When the food would be done. By the time we got our wings two other tables that came after us have already paid and had their meal. If you want shitty service shitty food and to wait a couple hours this is the place to go. Great food and good service. Always happy with service every time I go there and always get my food hot and tastes amazing!

Having ate at multiple Bdubs around the country I can say this one is no different food wise. The food is always good and the menu is extensive enough for anyone to get something they would like to eat. I've been to Bdubs near college campuses before and can say being in Ankeny, this location does not get the large groups of college kids there to hangout to watch the game. The crowd here mainly consists of families who enjoy sport themed restaurants, not too many younger people. This location is always busy, but I have never had to wait for a seat so that's a plus. The parking is easy here, tons of spots. Staff is friendly and food comes out of the kitchen in a fair amount of time. I come here often when I want my spicy wing fix. read more

BWW is overpriced for what you get haven't been there in a wile for this exact reason but I thought I'd give it another chance tonight and got Cary out. Well same s*** different day payed $4 for a side of fries and this is what I got a hand full of fries that I could shove in my mouth and still have room for two BWW wings. Another thing is the boneless wings are half the size they use to be like the stuff that use to be at the bottom of the bag read more

I have been here several times. Each time I've walked in, the hostess has issues with seating guests. I've heard "I can't find the iPad and can't seat anyone until it's found." I've heard "we only have tables for 6+ and there are 4 of you." Both times in a half empty restaurant. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, but the food never comes out in entirety. One person gets a meal at a time, and by the time the last member of our party gets their food, others are already finished. Also, when we left, not one of the 6 employees standing at the front even acknowledged us. Not a thank you for coming in or anything. The food is decent. On par for other BWW I've been to, but this locations customer service leaves a lot to be desired, especially with the hosting staff. read more

They have changed the burgers and for the better! I think what I do not like about BWW isnt the chain itself, its just the Ankeny location. Its setup is very dated, you can tell whoever owns it has no pride and doesn't want to spend any money on the decor. Also, they dont care about the setting the environment for example; we went this past Wednesday night and at 10pm every light was still on full blast. Anyone with any bar knowledge knows that this has a negative effect on bar sales. Food took about 45 minutes to come out ( we ordered at 7:30) and they weren't busy, I actually did a table count. Including us three other tables. Two couples and what looked like a mom, pop with a child who came in long after we did. Our table was 3 adults. I ordered medium boneless wings with sauce. I got medium bone in wings dry rub. I was too hungry to care at that point. My friend order a cheeseburger and got some black bean burger thing. After waiting so long for food, you would expect it to be right. Our server was nice, can't blame him. Sadly this is standard for thos location. I tired to talk my friend out of going, but she didnt think it would he that bad. As we left she said she definitely wont go back. The vibe here is always wrong. When we go to other locations it's a completely different feeling and vibe. The other locations feel cleaner, they look and feel like a bar / eatery. This location always feels like a pit stop. read more

Terrible experiences. First off two people in my party got cold wings, they went to warm them up and a wing in they noticed a hair in their wings. They also forgot about one other persons food.
