We walked in kind of late and they weren't allowing any other people in after us so we didn't want to spend too much time in there as the staff wanted to go home. I'll start my review with the one positive thing at Buffalo Exchange. I brought in one large and one medium bag of clothing and I was able to sell 1/4 of what I brought in and came out with $48 minus $2 parking fee. I would say that's not bad because there are times that you'll walk out with no cash. Sadly their customer service is very Jekyll and Hyde. Every time I come here you never know what personality you're going to encounter. After I checked in, I waited 30 minutes to sell my clothing and the entire time there were two buyers for that one customer at the counter. What would've been more efficient was to have one of those buyers help another customer to speed things along. By the time I was called up to sell my clothing there was only one buyer and he told another employee that just arrived that he wasn't into it. The buyer did not communication with me and I wasn't sure what was going on and simply passed me off on someone else. I don't know if this is normal protocol, but I see it as unfriendly and very unprofessional. If you're going for lunch, I totally understand needing to leave but that was not the case. The buyer that didn't finish buying my clothes went to a rack behind me to organize clothes. I don't really know how things work at Buffalo Exchange today, but I do remember back when people working here knew how to work with customers and act professional. Today that is not the case and I think after this interaction my days of selling to Buffalo Exchange are definitely over with, at least here in town. It's sad to see such a amazing fashion staple kinda down the toilet because the people who work here don't know the first thing about customer service. Stopped in for a switch up This was my son's first opportunity selling and or trading his favorites . They did offer more than what I thought they would put definitely not what he was thinking.. there are always things to buy. They have a nice selection. They have sales. They have premium quality products to every fashionista style.! I believe because I am not familiar with every brand some of the labels where I feel like they are proud the fashionista that likes that brand knows exactly why the price is what it is even as a used product. Time and time again I continue to go back. I definitely watch for the sales, but sometimes the item is too good to wait for it to go on sale because you know we won't be there when you return. read more

Went into today to sell some of my gently used clothes, and I'm happy to say they did take about 6-7 things and were going to sell them for a good price. Standard for Buffalo, it's 25% for cash and 50% for credit. It's always tough to know what BE is going to accept, so you have to keep in mind there are a ton of factors for them. it's all about what they have too much of, what they know will sell, etc., not always about your items. I chose to do store credit and had about $75 to have fun with. I found some unique pieces, and I think they have a decent selection. The store is pretty clean and organized as well especially since it was a busy Saturday for them. I had some unfriendly employees at the dressing room, complaining they "should be sitting by the pool right now", but even for the two unfriendly ones I had two very friendly ones who helped me. The buyers were also very polite. And I deducted a star because I saw a lot of items from some very "fast fashion" stores that I know sold those items for nearly the same price BE is selling them for (Fashion Nova, Windsor, H&M)... $15-$25. I would go back now that I know their style better and feel in the mood to "treasure hunt". :) read more

Both employees I mention could not of been more professional directing sellers that they were grateful for our patience in waiting to be called. The staff are always great, even today, I had an arm full of items and one of the girls asked if she could put them at the dressing room for me since it looked heavy. I've been here a few times now, driving quite a bit to try and sell some clothes and honestly, after a third try of selling, I just took the card of store cred and just went to 0 that out. I feel like whatever I bring just isn't good enough according to the buyers, and yet the stuff on the shelves are...'unique' for the best term. They did give me a tip and said 'oh we take the style of whatever's at the mall' and I guess that helps (not really). After trying to find alternatives, I can't really say it's worth going in there and paying parking just to come back to my car with the same amount I went in with. The workers are cool, I just guess whatever I got going on in terms of 'fashion' ain't up to snuff. Buying is fine, selling is another story! But on the topic of buying, definitely there are some items in there that I feel the cartoon-y style eyes bulging out at the prices for some of those items in there, making me walk in and then walk right back out! I was saddened by a visit to this location today. I'm an 80's baby and growing up, Buffalo Exchange was the best and most exciting place to shop. I even worked here long ago when I was 18. I remember how proud I was to be able to work for such an epic company and store. The employees were all in their late twenties and had roaring energy that filled the building. They cared about your experience and what they were doing, and more importantly they did their research on current trends, and brands. Today's visit was quite the opposite, and so different than the culture should be. I surfed the racks and noticed majority of the pieces for sale are from SHEIN and old navy, h&m and forever 21. Items were faded and quite frankly trash. I brought in 3 bags of clothing - now I know from previous experience here that we all think our things are worth more than they actually are and also that usually 75-85% of what you bring in is not purchased by the buyers in charge. So I fully wasn't expecting to sell much. I am also aware of what the associates deal with daily when people bring in actual garbage quality things in to attempt to sell. In my case I had new barely worn heels and sandals from Steve Madden, new unworn pairs of Vans in mint condition, kate spade that was not faded or damaged, a brand new j crew coat with a fur hood in mint condition, and their Gen Z associates did not buy one thing. Furthermore, they offered no personal touch, did not care to build upon the experience, nor explain why they were passing on certain things. In fact when I made a comment about the current buys on the floor and how they were passing up on things that would actually sell, the "soon-to-be" manager Chloe/Khloe rolled her eyes at me, and snapped back with a condescending remark as well as rolled her eyes to her colleague right in front of me. Regardless of the fact that they didn't choose to buy anything, I CANNOT believe that Chloe/Khloe is about to be named the new Store Manager, as this girl was not elevated enough to be a manager, did not care to be to make small talk, or brighten anyone's day. She is not ready to take on a store and build upon a culture that is clearly being lost in this brand and I wouldn't be surprised if this store falls and goes under like so many other businesses these days because of a wrong choice in promotion to management. They gave me $20 for four pieces of nike clothing.... what a rip off never again will i return here they also have everything high priced when you can find most online on sale lol what a joke. Whoever the manager is there, she needs to realize she's replaceable, her attitude and customer service is very undesirable! She's never smiling to say the least but to hear her talking about me to another employee when I'm a regular there for selling and buying is wrong, that's definitely how you lose customers. To hear her call me names and go on to say she never buys anything from me is sad, and when I left there she was right she bought nothing... last week I sold $96 in cash (different buyer behind counter) and the week before I sold $88 in cash (different buyer behind counter) and this week she accepted NOTHING... really? I've been noticing this from her for months now and when I rebring the exact same items back when she's not there the buyer buys everything but she buys nothing ever!!! Definitely feeling like it's personal....on the other hand the asst. manager Chloe and the other associates are amazing, fair, friendly and always smiling ready to help anyone, not biased!!! First off I love coming to buffalo exchange. I am a shopaholic BUT this was my first time selling with them and one of the first things I was told is that I have to stay in the store but feel free to walk around, REMEMBER THAT. I end up going back up because my boyfriend had a bag as well and they were done going through it. They offered him $110 for three nice leather jackets and we said no we want the jackets back please. The girl behind the counter immediately had an attitude because they had already put OUR items in the bin and if the worker would've come up to tag them they would've already been out on the floor. BEFORE WE EVER AGREED TO SELL THEM. Mind you, we were told to go walk around the store. It baffled me that they have the nerve to basically steal my items and put them on the floor before I even know how much I would get for them. Yesterday was my first time in Buffalo Exchange but it won't be my last. OK, I'm a boomer. Navigating myself from Summerlin to the Arts District was the first challenge then I was a bit nervous that I might feel out of place in a hip/young setting. Nothing could have been further from the truth. The young ladies at the buy counter were so friendly and welcoming. They bought four things from me and I went off to search for something interesting for my Poshmark closet. I realized I didn't buy enough time on the parking meter and my phone was dying so I grabbed two items that are wildly different from the curated vibe I have going on in my closet - a vintage cowgirl , rockabilly dress and a goth dress with a charming paisley/pentagram print. WTH? Actually the 80's shoulder pads in the western dress spoke to me and I have been known to bust a move, darkly, back in the day. The young man at the check out was equally friendly, the music was fabulous and I had a great time. Next time I will allow more time and take what they didn't buy back to the car before I try to shop. I'm looking forward to the Earth Day sale, say hi if you see me. Had two gift cards from there that I received from returning to items probably over a year ago.Happened to meet a friend on main street for lunch.So I thought I'd go in there and spend my gift cards. I asked a guy working there if they ever expire.He said, no I found a pair of shoes and a shirt.I liked went to use the gift cards and the cashier said they were not working. They called a manager over who was super unfriendly, didn't even catch her name.She was so dry and unfriendly. She came at me like I had stolen the gift cards or something giving me the grille of where did I get them?Did I get them from selling?I mean, come on, we give cards were like forty dollars between the two of them. I've learned over my years that that girl was treating me badly.Which in turn I don't need it for forty dollars.Still bought the shoes I wanted.Will never shop at this place again. Pretty disappointed.. I've heard so much hype on this thrift store but there are so many better ones in the area. The clothes are really expensive for a thrift shop. Their selection standards are extremely strict, and even if you bring brand-new or lightly used items, there's still a high chance they won't accept them. On top of that, locations are in areas where you have to pay for street parking, which adds to the frustration if your items aren't accepted. If you truly want to sell some items, it might be worth considering other platforms or stores. This place is severely overpriced and the employees here definitely have long sticks up their rears. The "buyer" chicks you see when you walk in have severe stank face and make you feel unwelcome. The selection was meh. The buyers obviously aren't doing their jobs properly. Target brands, Forever 21 and Shein marked up to $13-$18 is unheard of. I was able to snag myself an Aritzia jumpsuit for $20 so that was kinda cool. I definitely had to dig to find something trendy and priced right though. All in all, I won't be returning to this location when I'm in town again. The buyers should definitely deflate their egos and start doing their jobs better. And she wanted to check this place out I was very happy we came in I got an awesome pink jacket it was actually in the window when u saw it!!!! The price was such a steal it was only 26$ I was surprised I thought it was going to me more!!!!!! I was so happy!!!
