I've only been in here once, it seems like a stressful place to work . . . while browsing around I was next to the new hire training and heard the manager say she didn't want them making friends with each other -- it was totally fine to be friendly but she didn't want conversations based on anything but work :o yikes Clothing wise I found a few good items (a pair of satiny work slacks for 26 bucks), but for the most part it's definitely overpriced for used clothes from college kids. Don't waste your time. I brought two full trash bags of clothes and they only wanted two things. I got $8 out of two full trash bags of clothes way better than the stock of oversized raggedy t-shirts they had all around the store.. I heard the cashier tell a customer they are being super selective because of the time of year, etc. Fine, just tell people you aren't accepting anything at all instead of having people waste their time with you only picking one thing. read more

DO NOT try to sell your stuff here. These people have absolutely no idea what they're doing, they have the most arbitrary system for choosing items (if they even have a system at all). And the 30/70 split when you want cash just seems wrong. I am always shocked at the items they won't take (things that are even brand new with tags) when I go look through the racks and see all this horrendous, HIDEOUS crap hanging there. Also, I'll never forget when my friend went to sell a $200 pair of shoes, they gave her $14, and then the other employees were yelling around the store "Oh my god that girl must have had NO clue what she was selling!!! Ha Ha!!!" to which my friend replied, "I'M STILL HERE," and the manager ended up giving her more money for it after she complained. They are also quite snotty when going through your stuff. They go through things one by one, ask each other whether it's good enough, make faces when going looking at perfectly good quality items (I suppose in Allston everything has to ripped or ugly to pass the Buffalo Exchange test). They pretty much make you feel like crap without saying a word, just by the looks they give. I am also always shocked at the high prices they give for crap from Forever 21. They often price them for more than what they were worth new. Anyway, beyond that, I *have* found some good stuff there once in a while, albeit some a little overpriced. So I recently had a big surgery so I was trying to make extra money for not having income for seven weeks. I first think the system they had was super unorganized. Like the spot where people donate I feel as it if should of been way bigger and cleaner. Also I'm sorry I don't think it's right that it should pretty much be freshly bought or close. So, here's the deal. I went to Buffalo Exchange and bought this really great Salt Valley shirt. It was the kind of thing where I was like "Hey man... I am bored and I need to buy something that will make me look fly." So, I walked over there and BAM, a whole bunch of really pretty girls were waiting to help me. I tried on a few shirts, but settled on that this one great long sleeved shirt. $13. Great deal. Unfortunately, the whole ideal of finding a great shirt only took about 15 minutes, so I had way more time to kill. I decided I'd go down to Harvard Square and see if any babes were into my new shirt. Turns out, they were! Five minutes later, a "bag lady" in Harvard Square grabbed me and said, "Young man, you are handsome and that shirt looks great." Expecting to have to give her some change for her compliment, I reached into my pocket, but once I looked up, she was gone. It was one of the most magical moments of my life. The fleeting moment was gone. I had blown it. My one chance at happiness. To this day, I think about that bag lady, hoping that one day she'll see me again in my BufEx shirt and the spark will re-ignite. I love you, bag lady. read more

My review is as both a buyer and a seller. Seller: I agree with most reviewers. Don't waste your time selling here especially if you try to sell high end clothing or clothing that is out of season. I spent $80 on shoes only to find that they didn't really fit they way I wanted them to. These shoes were NEVER worn except only to try them on at the store and in my home. They didn't take them because it was "boots season" at the time. And that is just one of the many examples that I have. Buyer: Annie or Amie Lennox has officially deterred me from ever wanting to step foot in there. As a cashier/salesperson she was INCREDIBLY rude. I actually cannot believe how she still has a job there. As paying customers, instead of saying "bye" she chose to yell out "get out of here." A friend had purchased an item and she realized that she wasn't taxed on it, so she asked why. Instead of being polite and correcting her mistake she became loud,rude, and hostile. Given the fact that the store is already overpriced for what it is and these are paying REGULAR customers, I found the awkward yelling unnecessary. Do better Buffalo exchange. read more

Be aware that if you want to, you know, buy clothes at this clothing store you have to either have your own bag or pay $2 for an ugly Buffalo Exchange tote. Like, really? I can understand wanting to be environmentally friendly but this is a clothing store for crying out loud. That being said, the selection here - as with most Boston thrift stores - is hit or miss. I'd say the prices are higher end of reasonable. Buyers are UNreasonably picky and inconsistent. I've come here with beautiful pieces in GREAT condition that they won't take because there isn't a brand/label on it...and then I go and see ugly pieces with no label on the rack. So I guess it depends on who you see, what time of the day it is, what phase the moon is in, what time during the cycle...etc. Sigh. Go to the Davis location instead. This place is terrible. People come here because you get cash upon drop off, even though you'll make way less than you would if you sold your stuff at a locally-owned consignment shop AND they are way too picky in what they consider good enough, so how much you'll be getting back is debatable in the first place. I brought in a ton of stuff last fall and they didn't take anything, even though some of the items were BCBG and Laundry, for example. And then the girl at the counter tried to take this Express romper for herself in the hopes I would forget it was a "maybe." Counter girl was also rude and disinterested. Sorry if I don't look fashionable enough on a rainy Sunday afternoon, but I'm not an idiot about what's in style. The whole experience sucked so much, I wouldn't even shop at this place if you told me they just got in a bunch of Marc by Marc Jacobs in sizes 4/6 and we could go right as the store opened to have first dibs. I know every business is doing therir best during COVID but Buffalo Exchange is just taking advantage of people who are selling their stuff for many reasons. We took several new items there, including a new Columbia winter jacket and a pair of new leather boots along with 25 other pieces in perfect shape some of them never used and they gave us $34. When we said: wait no, this is too little for all this and thisnis not right, we called to get our pieces back and they said they cannot give them back. So during COVID you are giving them stuff and they are just giving you a couple of bucks no matter what and taking advantage of you and you have no right to claim your things back because they "advertised the new selling process in the web". One thing I know for sure. I will never go there again, I will never recommend the place and I will never sell anything to them again. So basically they gsve us 2$ for the jacket and $2 for the new leather boots and $1 or $2 for every piece we brought and we just have to stay quiet. This is UNBELIEVABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE. You could call me a thirft-shopaholic. Or a shopaholic. Either way, about 90% of my clothing comes from consignment stores. I have always heard about buffalo exchange, and always wanted to experience it. This being right across the street from Greg's new apartment is very dangerous. In terms of clothing, the selection is random. It is certainly a hit or a miss. There is a lot of hipster/trendy clothing, and not too much formal, cute, preppy etc. It really is "hip" and stuff that you haven't ever seen before. That being said , I have come away with some real steals. The pricing is a bit obscure, as sometimes it can be too high for its value, or too low for its value. However, the quality of the clothes is always pristine. The help is excessive. They are way too eager to help, and often get in the way of me shopping. They are also really really strict about the dressing rooms. I actually got into a tiff with someone once, she counted my articles twice with 6, and was accusing me of missing 1 item (since i went in with 7). I had to recount for her and it was just really awkward. When I have sold stuff here, I was pretty shocked. I had a bunch of Jcrew clothes that had barely been worn, and they were rejected, which goes back to my comment of the clothing being hipster. The manager who dealt with my selling was also extremely snotty, and made comments on how some of the stuff I brought in was unwearable. When I went and sold it at my designer thirft store afterwards. It's fine if you don't think my clothes are fit for your store, but dont be condescending about it. However, I do like the system where I get priced and cash right when I sell them... I don't have to wait for them to sell in the store. Overall, I have always walked away pleased with my purchases. One star since I can't put zero stars. Buying: I never bought anything since everything seems overpriced. Selling: I tried selling with them for the first time. There was already 8-10 people in front of me on a warm thursday afternoon (1pm). I had a bag of clothes (folded neatly and organized). The pieces that I had were suitable for spring/summer and basics. They took NOTHING from it. I literally saw people before me (with suitcases of clothes!) get something out of it (ranging from $10-30 cashback). The two talkative female buyers (expect some small talk/questions: "spring cleaning or moving out?") scanned each item for a few secs and sloppily folded it back into my bag. I thought it was ironic that nothing was taken since one of the buyers made a positive comment about one of the tops. I also don't know what they find worth "trendy" or "vintage". Honestly, it was a waste of my 50 min wait and wouldn't go again, especially after lugging the same bag full of clothes home. read more

I was prompted to write this review after seeing so many people leave horrible reviews when they clearly have no idea of how a retail clothing store works. I live across the street from the Buffalo Exchange and I go there frequently. Some things are overpriced, but those are items are usually new (yes they sell BRAND NEW) clothing OR designer. I have many dresses from Buffalo Exchange that are Forever21 or other cheaper brands that I purchased for only a few dollars. When you go into a thrift shop they can often be messy, cluttered, and dirty. But when they're accepting absolutely anything that anyone brings in why would not be? When selling your clothes: they need to keep a good selection of in season items that are following current trends. Even if your clothes are AMAZING, but you bring a lot of dresses and they have a million dresses in stock already they probably wont take your stuff. OR if you bring a lot of winter coats in the summer, it is not in their best interest to stock that kind of product during that season. Or if you bring trends that are not current, they will not take them. They're a business just like anywhere else and they to keep up with what's fashionable to keep people coming in. They usually always have a list of "what we're looking for" posted in the store and every time I've brought something that meets that list, they've taken it. read more

Reviewing as a buyer only. As a broke person, this isn't my go to place for clothing staples (pants, skirts, tops, etc). I come here when I'm looking for something unique that I'm willing to spend a little more money on. Their bags are always great, I've found some nice shoes, and I got a badass leather jacket for $14. Everything I've bought has been around $20, and their jewelry is usually in the $8-$15 range. I like a lot of things I've found, and my style is pretty art school if that helps, haha. They have cool stuff, and the store is clean. No complaints about the inventory, it's definitely worth checking out. Here's the catch: the store is popular with obnoxious twenty somethings who think that they're fashion demi-gods from the 6th dimension. They'll stand around having stupid conversations about Allston being "fashion forward" and they buy a bunch of stupid shit and at some point they will probably glare at you for touching something they want or flipping through the rack they were planning on flipping through later. It's not an actual problem, but it makes shopping here really uncomfortable sometimes. And it shouldn't be uncomfortable. This is a consignment store in Allston, not fucking Prada. Also, the staff always asks me if I need help a lot. A lot. Maybe it's because my default expression is "about to cry" so they think I'm having a problem when really that's just my face, but it weirds me out because I don't even know what I could need help with. It's all pretty straight forward. The best plan is to come on a weekday or at a weird time when it won't be busy, bring headphones to drown out any annoying conversations, and bring your own bag because they don't have bags anymore. read more

I've been here a few times, and each time I brought in a few bags and they'll only take a few articles of clothing. They'll say things like, "we're looking for transitional pieces" but not take blazers, lightweight sweaters, etc. Also, they'll declare that the pieces have "signs of wear," when, I kid you not, I never worn them and the tags were attached! Or, we want menswear, they say! (But only bold plaid- not small plaid). The funny thing is, in reading other reviews, people stated they want more jackets! I've never shopped here, but the selection seems scant in terms of designers - it's a lot of low-end brands, which I'd rather buy new, since they're so cheap anyway. I've sat, while waiting to sell, and watched them pass on great designer pieces! The high end gems are probably snapped up fast. They go through each piece and "inspect" it - some with more attention than others. I've been there when the girls are chit-chatting with each other, and they're not even looking at the piece. The things they don't take they slide silently back in front of you. Don't take offense. It's a business, and the process of this business is subjective. What one girl will take, the other won't. Some staff should adjust their demeanors - they're not buyers for Neiman Marcus, for crying out loud. Also, every time I went, the goodwill bin is full-even first thing in the morning! I had an appointment to sell at this location. In a slip of the mind I thought my time was 3:40 and it was 3:20- we all make mistakes, but ironically I had been already sitting in my car waiting for 3:40 to come for a half an hour and decided at 3:25 to double check my appointment slot, realized my mistake and walked in the store at 3:29. As soon as I walked through the door, I hear the stores "buyer" complaining TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER about someone who didn't show up and that they tried to call and nothing so they don't care "I'm moving on" (insert a sassy facial expression along with this last quote). I laughed jokingly and said "well I'm probably the person you're talking about because I got my time wrong and I was literally sitting in my car outside for the last half hour". I was trying to make light of it and I thought they would think it was funny too- plus I wasn't that late and THEY DID NOT CALL ME or I would have come inside when they did (obviously). His sour facial expression and the tone in which he spoke to me in response made me feel so ashamed and like crawling under a rock for being NINE MINUTES LATE. Even when I sincerely apologized like the submissive loser I am, he just maintained his frown and shifted his eyes away from me. He said he'd go through my things after he finished the bags before me. He then proceeded to move at a glacial pace and go into the back room for 5 minutes without saying anything. Just as I grabbed my bag to leave, another representative called my name to help me. I really shouldn't have sold anything to these people. I really shouldn't have. I also heard him inquiring with people about taking their breaks, which leads me to believe he must be a manager of some sort. What kind of management complains outwardly about other customers TO OTHER CUSTOMERS. Trust the reviews y'all. There are enough of them. The other Buffalo location has a WAY friendlier staff and a much better selection of clothes. read more

Selling: I go here every few weeks or so to try and sell my clothes. They are really particular in what they buy from you. A lot of it depends on what they already have, the season, and whatever else they're in the mood for that day. Most of the time when they reject a piece of clothing, I try at least two more times before donating it. It's so funny to me how many times I've gotten them to buy it on the second try or so. It's completely random with what they buy from you and you just need to keep trying and try not to take it too personally. Definitely make sure your clothes are in the best condition as possible before trying. Buying: Super hit or miss. TRY ON THE CLOTHES. So many times I've bought something from here and it just doesn't fit right. Just some of the things I expect from thrifting. Their jewelry section is great, make sure to take a peak at it on your way out. Also be sure to check them out around the holidays, they had great Christmas sweaters around Christmas, sparkly clothes for the New Year, and Halloween costumes in the fall. read more

I have tried to sell clothes here twice. Both times brought a bag of excellent condition items that were laundered, ironed, and folded with no imperfections. Brands like Madewell, Columbia, and American Eagle. The first time they took one sweater that I originally bought for like $10 from F21 years ago and the second time two worn sports bras. They have no rhyme or reason to what they do or don't pick and their excuse is that it is "no longer in style".... The sales staff has gotten a bit nicer but you would be better off selling on poshmark/depop or donating. read more

Roughly half of my closet comes from Buffalo Exchange purchases. I'm not sure why this particular Buffalo Exchange always has the best stuff, but I have better luck here than any other used clothing store (and most non-used clothing stores). I've gotten shoes here in tip-top condition - brand new new balance running sneakers for $30 bucks, brand new vintage kangaroos for under $20 (the 'roos lasted me a good 9 months and 1500+ miles of walking). Brand new JCrew cords (normally $90) for under $20. Shirts, skirts, tees, sweaters, dresses, blouses, jeans - every time I come to browse there's something worth picking up. Hands down, my favorite thrift store in Boston. I've never tried to sell clothes here so can't speak to that end of the house, but I'll say I think the buyers have great taste. Quick tip: the store is bag-free, so make sure you bring your own! The 5 cents saved/bag you get to throw toward 1 of 3 charities of your choosing - pretty neat. read more

Ever since my last scathing review, I've been back a few more times, and I'm somewhat glad to say the buyers seem more knowledgeable. They have, however, become extremely picky about the things they take. This wouldn't be such a bad thing if they didn't tell me one day "we're looking for lots of (insert item here)" and one week later when I bring lots of said item in, they say "no we're not looking for that". Thankfully I now live nearby so I don't have to do the dreaded T journey back with a bag of "rejects". Depending on your style, this spot deserves 3 stars if you're buying and 2 if you're selling. *Note: I have shopped and sold at this location in Allston and their store in Davis Square* Shopping: if you're a thrifter at heart, you may feel unchallenged by this place, but it's easy to peek around on autopilot. It definitely caters to "trendy" and "hipster" types. I like to go straight to the dresses and have found several that I wear often. Many of the t-shirts and some other jersey cotton items are well worn. You'll find an unfortunate stain every once in a while, but you'll also find a few high end designers marked lower than you'd expect. Selling: As others have said, they have very high expectations and sometimes strange criteria. I was a little surprised when a men's Hollister coat and Vera Bradley bag I brought in we're rejected with barely any consideration. Perhaps they weren't right for the season (it is late summer) but the lack of interest or thorough examination from the sales lady peeved me. Truth be told, I think the employees at the Davis Square location are friendlier and more genuine. They also inspect the clothes more closely, behave as if they enjoy doing their jobs, and have more energy. Some may say that being pickier will result in a better selection, but I think the clothing is just as good at Davis square and they cater to more "types" of customers. read more

This place spoils me. I usually have to spend HOURS thrifting all over the place. Now, maybe an hour? I have yet to have a trip to here where I don't leave with some item or other. Staff are cool, some friendly and good at the retail dealio, others more awkward and "uh, why are you talking to me...?". Never nasty. The brands I tend to pick up for *especially* noteworthy prices include BCBG, J. Crew, Anthropologie, BDG, free people and more. First off, I'm familiar with various Buffalo Exchanges in Southern California (having lived there for more than 6 years), so I know how picky the associates can be. Having said that, I brought in two GIANT H&M bags full of pin-up style clothes, vintage dresses, shoes, hair accessories, and cool, retro-80's purses and blouses. I expected the girl to take maybe 5 to 10 items. She took one pair of shoes and a shirt. Based on her level of discernment I expected the clothing selection to be one of the best among all the Buffalo Exchange's I've been to. But no. Maybe I'm used to the more cutting edge fashions of Long Beach and L.A., but the selection at this Buffalo Exchange was like shopping at a Salvation Army or the sale rack at Marshalls... minus the creepy weirdo's or middle-aged women who think they're still 24. In spite of the plethora of clothes, I came away with only ONE purchase. It just seemed like they had a lot of the same poorly designed clothes. (I passed up a few items because there were holes and loose threads). This week I'm going to bring in some BCBG jackets, cashmere sweaters and a silk purse- hopefully my second time around will be better. read more

I am by no means a thrift store expert, but I really like Buffalo Exchange. I have only been in here to shop, not sell so I can't comment on whether they give you good money for your clothes or not. Every time I have been in here they have had a cute selection of shirts, sweaters, dresses, skirts, shoes, scarves, jewelry and bags. Most things are pretty damn cheap, but I have discovered the occasional article of clothing that seemed a bit overpriced (but I don't really understand the appeal/ pricing system of designer brands nor the prices that these articles of clothing are usually sold for.) The last time I was here I got a cute scarf and some funky earrings for a total of $16, not bad. Also, since I didn't use a plastic bag, they gave me a "token" valued at 5 cents to be placed in one of three charity boxes at the front of the store. Sweet! read more

I was incredibly excited when I found out that Buffalo Exchange was opening a store in Brighton. I used to trek all the way over to the store in Somerville from BC by way of the T, which would take about an hour. Being a major clotheshorse with almost nonexistent funds, I'm a huge proponent of deals, however I can get them. Thrifting, consigning, digging... For a thrift store, Buffalo Exchange is a little pricier than somewhere like Goodwill because they buy the clothes that they resell at a higher value to make a profit. Being a seller, I've had an overall positive experience with selling to Buffalo. About twice a year (early summer and early winter), I bring a carry-on suitcase full of cute, stylish clothes that I don't foresee myself wearing anymore. They are pretty picky, but fair with value pricing. They've taken a knee-length black satin Mossimo skirt, two full circle skirts from American Apparel, a bright blue convertible Rag+Bone windbreaker (which they priced at an extremely discounted price of $34), and a bunch of dresses from Forever 21. I was surprised they didn't take some dresses from Urban Outfitters or any accessories (scarves, bangles, rings, necklaces, stilettos), but they've always taken about a third of what I bring over. They subscribe to a pretty standard sell/trade policy of 30% cash, or 50% store credit. The average price point is at $15 and the inventory is constantly changing. I used to live near a Buffalo Exchange in Brooklyn and the one time I tried to sell clothes, they took nothing AND were snotty about it. So I was apprehensive to try again at this outpost, but this time, I had better luck. They took a number of things, resulting in some store credit for me. I promptly used that store credit and spent more to acquire what I feel are major steals -- unworn, tags-still-on-them AG capris for $35 (retail $150) and an unworn, tags-on-it Karen Millen $325 dress that I got for $37.50. Some people seem to be griping about "high prices" here -- but getting a $325 dress at almost 90% off is awesome! I also got some cute Nine West heels to go with the dress and a summer top for $7. I love this place to sell and buy. They're REALLY picky with what they will take but if you go regularly, say once a month even, it adds up. I usually walk out with 20-30 bucks cash. Sometimes I will trade in - occasionally you will find Lilly Pulitzer, Vineyard Vines and even high high end Saks brands - never seen a dress under 35 bucks there which is pretty amazing! I've been to the Buffalo Exchange in Davis Square also, but I think the selection is pretty consistent in terms of what they carry. i can't say much about the selling process since I've never sold any of my clothing here but I can say something about the shopping.. It's an ok selection, but not the best. There are a lot of items that baffle me with their inconsistent pricing. I remember seeing H&M items being marked up too high--almost to the price they would sell at from the original store. I've also seen shirts that have pilled being marked at insane prices. Some items from Urban Outfitters are being priced almost at $30. For $30 I could buy a new shirt. A nice one too. They did have a good selection of shoes though. Too bad I'm a 9.5 because there was a great pair of Nikes for $20 in an 8.5. The men's section was smaller but the shoes looked decent. I just wish they had a better assortment of shoes in the larger sizes for people like me. In the end, I walked out with a cute little purse for $13. Can't complain when you can get a bag for the same amount as a lunch. read more

I'm really happy they're putting second-hand clothing stores, especially "buy, sell, trade" in Allston! The women who work at this location are really friendly but not overly aggressive at all. All items look clean and wearable, with a variety of styles (soo for example not ALL their jeans are skinny-they mix in some flares). They have a fair amount of guys clothing, too (t-shirts, flannels, denim, jackets). I wish they had more vintage items, or even a vintage rack...but maybe that will come with time. I'm writing this up as 5 stars for a place to sell old clothes. I've never bought clothes here but everything looked decent. So anyways, to get rid of old clothes you have 2 choices. You could either give them to Goodwill or get some cash for them at Buffalo Exchange. The process was super easy. I walked in with a bunch of old stuff that I don't wear anymore and walked out 5 minutes later with $20 bucks. Cha-ching! Even the little hipster girls behind the counter weren't that annoying. This Boston-based Buffalo location is definitely the better one. The clothing selection here is large, diverse in style, and there's minimal crap to be found in the stock. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I seem to have a sense of their purchasing standards. They're choosy (they have to be), but not to the extent where you can't grasp what they're looking for. I've sold plenty of items here over the years. And when clothing of mine has been rejected, the buyers have never been anything less than cool about it. However, the reason why I'm giving this store three stars instead of four is because there appears to be no limit on how much clothing people can bring in to consign. Numerous times, I've waited for ages while inconsiderate sellers (hoarders, really) haul multiple moving bins of clothing up to the counter, resulting in a queue that can last upwards of an hour for other prospective sellers. It seems like it would be in Buffalo's best interest to place a consignment limit per visit. (Because what if someone brings in a bushel of awful clothing?) Plus, it would be the decent thing to do for customers. Overall, this place has a lot going for it, but I hope the management reads this and considers the aforementioned suggestion. read more

Was lied to in the store today! On July 10th, 2017, I brought in a pair of Prada shoes and was told I could leave them there for consignment instead of directly purchasing them from me that day. I was hesitant about the process but the employee who worked there told me that I would be notified of any changes by phone, if they did occur (shoes got sold, weren't selling etc.) I also told her I was going to be in California for the next five months and coming back for the Thanksgiving holiday, and she said that would be fine. I signed the consent form and left my shoes there. Today, 11/25/17, I went back to get my shoes because I had received no word from buffalo exchange and had recently set up and sold them online through another platform for twice as much money. When I walked in, I asked the manager for my shoes and she said she remembered them and looked in the computer system and then would go get them "downstairs" because that's where they were moved because they weren't selling. Great, I could get my shoes and leave. The manager asked me again for my address because there were a couple Irenes in the system. I ended up waiting 45 minutes and saw the manager tell an associate that she "searched the office and downstairs and couldn't find them." I went up to the associate and asked for an update and she said the manager was still looking for them. At this point I went to go to post office before it closed in 15 minutes and told them I would be back in 10 minutes. When I came back the manager came up to me and said the shoes actually sold in July and that she would just give me the cash. I was never given a call regarding this sale and it was really unbelievable that they were sold, because all the associates were talking about how they were downstairs or in the office in storage because they weren't selling when i first walked in. I really don't believe that they sold, and that they lied to me about this. Furthermore, the manager just apologized and said "oops sorry it was a miscommunication, we'll try harder next time." It cannot had been a miscommunication if I was not communicated to in the first place. I would not have taken the time to set up another sale on a platform had I known something was done with my shoes. I was never given a call that they were sold and upon reading the consignment agreement again, none of the rules were in accordance with what the store associate from my first experience or the store manager from today was saying to me. The first store associate SHOULD NOT have let me leave my shoes when I told her I would be back in five months, as this would not have worked in accordance with the contract, in terms of "TIME LIMITS" for picking up money/picking up unsold merchandise. This was a direct breach of contract. I came in FIVE AND A HALF MONTHS after the "supposed sale," and had I not done that I would have never gotten my money because NO ONE from Buffalo Exchange reached out to me. This is no way to run a business. I had to wait almost an hour to watch this disorganized store try to find my shoes and then lie to me about the sale, and I have lost my other sale. In their mission statement they take pride in acting with integrity and being self-righting. Neither of these were exemplified in my experience at this store today, and I am appalled you can run a business like this. read more
