It was a bit of a trek through rush-hour traffic from our hotel but so completely worth the trip. Discretely located through a door marked only by a red light above it we were warmly greeted by gentleman behind the hardware counter. We were prepared to answer with the password to let us in but for some reason it wasn't asked. No big deal. You are then sent through a door into the beautifully dimly-lit space of the speakeasy. There is plenty of seating, with small tables and some booths. We were shown to our table and greeted by one of the great, friendly hostesses. Drinks are ordered directly at the bar with one of the attendants. You immediately pay for your order which will then be brought to your table. Different but really a nice idea. The music was also nicely unique, with a mix of oldies from the 50's and 60's. An old black and white James Cagney movie played silently on one wall. In terms of the cocktails I have to say these are some of the most delicious and finely crafted drinks I've enjoyed. I began with the Start Your Engine, a delicious gin-based drink. My wife had an absolutely fantastic smoked Old Fashioned, smoked in a large box for a minute or two. Wow! Probably the best we've ever tasted. My second drink was another gin cocktail, the Last Word, which I'd been wanting to try for some time. A fine gin supported by green Chartreuse and lime, this was simply sublime. Highly recommended. The bar and menu is quite varied and extensive, so you're sure to find something to your liking. The space has a great vibe and mellow ambiance. Sufficiently dark, cozy and very nicely and eclectically decorated. Service was outstanding and informative. Reservations are recommended. Like many such places you are "limited" to 90-minute timeframes, which sometimes seems like not enough but ultimately works quite well. The quality of the cocktails, space and service all make for a really enjoyable time. Well worth many visits.

There wasn't an event going on at the time, but the facility still really impressed me! Gorgeous piece of architecture, but also a really well maintained lawn and surrounding grounds that looked like it could accommodate a considerable gathering of people. There's a fountain near the memorial plaque, along with some statuary and some cute music makers for people to play with. I was quite enamored by the multicolored mosaic animal statues (I had to snap a photo with each!) near one of the entrances. I noticed a couple of port-a-potties and many trash cans. Also the geese waddling about the grounds were kinda cute. I'll probably look online to see if they're having any upcoming events that interest me, because it'd be cool to show up for a performance!

There is no dedicated parking structure, at least that we could find! There is plenty of street parking on surrounding blocks, but pay attention to signage, as some is permit only parking! The space itself is adorable: a small lobby with refreshments, updated gender neutral private toilet spaces, and a theater that boasts the most intimate setting to get lost in the show. Now, I would say there isn't a bad seat in the house because it's so intimate BUT the way the upper balcony seats are arranged, if you get a spot against the wall, you will have an almost entirely obstructed view by others seated in front of you. These tickets are noted on the website as obstructed, and I usually roll the dice since they are cheaper, but I'd say avoid at all costs unless you are seven feet tall ;) The acoustics were brilliantly clear for an older space and even in the side balcony, I felt like the actors were right in front of me! While there is signage in both the front and the rear of the building you could easily mistake this place for a dive bar or even being shut down. I assure you, it's not. Once you walk in you notice a beautifully decorated lounge. Floor to ceiling mirrors ans drapes make the room appear much larger than it is. Nice leather chairs creating little seating areas and the bar can hold about 12 people. There is lots of music/musician memorabilia on the walls and some fun fixtures. Our party of 7 took up the last available seats in the otherwise packed house. We were greeted by a very busy, yet smiling, owner, Angie. She let us know she had a few drinks to make and would be back to take our order. She was the only one behind the bar and was struggling a bit to keep up. Had lots of hustle, though. The wait was a little longer than one would like be but not bad. The drinks were worth the wait. Our party of 7 all ordered something different and we all very much enjoyed our drinks. Our second attempt we went on a Saturday right when they opened. We were greeted at the door and were told we can pick where we want to sit. It was decorated really cute for the theme everywhere, they had couches, more regular dining tables, barrel tables and bar seating. We opted for a barrel table. The menu for food and drinks were all changed to be named after SB related references which was really fun. We ordered a few drinks, mocktails and food. The food is more so bar food, bites. We ordered pickle roll up's, chicken lettuce wraps, onion rings and they were all very basic and imo not worth it for the prices. I'd prefer to eat some where before and then come here for drinks. The drinks were decent. A lot of them had bitters, which I'm not a fan of at all but I know it's very common at cocktail bars. I did find a few without and went with those. One was called campfire song song. It was like a s'mores espresso martini which I loved. Our waitress was really nice, attentive and in tune with the theme. I loved her enthusiasm. Overall it was really cute and I can tell beyond the theme it's a cute place to grab drinks with friends. I'd for sure come back for other themes or just to just out the normal vibe.

You wouldn't believe this cozy lounge was nestled in this strip mall in Otsego. We chose a few different drinks - a few signature cocktails, a flight from the specials menu, and a glass of Prosecco. The names were clever, the drinks were unique, and the staff was knowledgeable. The Parmesan Truffle Fries were crispy, meaty, and the jalapeño sauce gave them a nice kick. The Cowboy Corn Poppers (not pictured) were crunchy on the outside while creamy and flavorful on the inside. This was the perfect way to end the night with friends. We will definitely be coming back.
