I was waiting to review Buff city till I actually used the soaps, and I can safely say I'm in love! The bars lathered up beautifully and made my skin feel smooth and clean! Maybe a little dry, but that's why they have body oil and butters that are also fabulous! Really the Island nectar body butter is great, it's light and absorbed into the skin quickly and smells amazing! The bars are nice and chunky, smelling great and look pretty, just my type! Lol!! This place is so cute. They definitely met the majority of our soap needs. Anything from women, men, and even kid sections that boasted smells that would be easy to love for all. Some of the products I loved best include the Soap whip, body scrub, and awesome colored plant based soaps. I have used the mystery box before and the products didn't leave any bad residues or anything. My skin felt and smelt awesome. I still have some left, but came back for more. This location was also beautiful organized and had a great restroom and sink to test soaps out. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I just discovered this amazing store...it's absolutely beautiful!!! What a great company and their philosophy and their influence in products! I'm talking plant based products made with ingredients WITHOUT harmful parabens,phthalates and harsh chemicals! Whoo hoo!! All the products are hand made in store and you even get to watch or create your own products which to me sounds like the best day ever!!! They have everything from soap, epson salts, body butter, dryer balls, oils, lotions, body scrubs and luscious Castile hand soaps! You could literally spend an entire day there looking at all the amazing products and reading the cute little cards explaining what's in the products and the scent! I've driven by this shop multiple times and with my mom's birthday fast approaching, it was finally time to check it out. I'm SO glad that I did! Not only is this store clean and easy to navigate, but they offer such a wide variety of options. Did you find a scent you really like, but they don't have it in a scrub? Oh, you wanted the shower oil, but you could only find the body butter? Don't worry, the team can mix ANY scent into whatever product type and it's all at no extra cost. All of their items are made of clean, easy to read/understand ingredients, and they even offer a discounted refill option for their laundry soaps I also had the most pleasant experience with a store associate. I can't remember her name for the life of me (she had pink hair and purple earrings), but she was on top of her game. She helped me pick out the perfect scent for my mom and custom mixed it up for me within just a few minutes. She was so friendly that, after she helped me, I ultimately decided to get many more items than I probably should have.. In total, I got: Shower oil for my mom, wax melts, a mini laundry set, and beard oil. The same associate checked me out and she even threw in a few samples for me! I spent a little under $50 for the lot of it. Which I think was a steal for the quality. I had a great experience here and I'm excited to try my new items and give my mom her present. I wanted to wait to right this review until I actually used some of the product I bought. I adore the pumpkin spice bar of soap I bought- it lathers nicely, has exfoliating bits throughout the bar and smells wonderful. The coconut body wash also smells amazing, lathers well and leaves your skin feeling soft. I had a wicked headache last night and had bought the Hey Headache shower fizzy- mint is a known scent to help relieve headaches and I love aromatherapy. It lessened the headache, it didn't wipe it out, but it was manageable after. Even the laundry soap washed up my clothing well. I have several more products to try- and I returned to use my reward/vip and got in on the special they have. Give them a try and smell fabulous! I've been meaning to stop by this store for some time now and I'm glad I did. I was promptly greeted by staff and was asked if I've been before, I haven't. She explained that everything is: ~ plant based ~ free of harsh chemicals (chemicals not specified) ~ cruelty free ~ free of animal fats (not sure if that means vegan) ~ handmade daily, in-house That's pretty cool and while I'm not vegan or strictly paraben/sulfate free, I do appreciate the impact these products have and totally support it. I specifically seek out soap bars as the environmental impact and carbon footprint is so much smaller on these items and I honestly feel cleaner after using. SOAP: They have a lot of different scents, some strong, some light, and their pricing at the time of this review is $7,$8,$9 for certain soaps ($7 must have, $8 moisturizing, $9 I can't remember). After smelling 99% of the soaps I landed on oatmeal and honey, a classic that can't go wrong, and lemongrass eucalyptus (aka LE). I was told "narcissist" is the best seller. Oatmeal and honey is very light while LE is pungent but in the best way the soaps are large and on the soft side. I would say somewhere in between the hard rocks you find at the riverside market and the gooey blond from lush. OTHER PRODUCTS: If you want more than just ultra conscious soap bars, they have laundry soap, hand soap, bath fizzies, shower fizzies, and soap accessories (e.g, soap sponge, mesh case, bar holder, laundry scoop, etc.). Unknowingly came a few minutes before closing and looked around the store and ended up with a basket full of items to buy. The employees in the store; instead of telling us they were closing (or even saying anything to us, really) just starting closing things up, bringing signs inside- obviously we're not blind so we asked if they were about to close- they said yes that they were closing RIGHT NOW. We honestly had no idea when we walked in...We were just shopping and enjoying the products (our first visit) but instead we were made to feel like we weren't welcomed. Instead of giving them a last minute sale, we put everything back. They let you mix scents and any scent they have in store can be your own custom detergent. It's all natural made with coconut oil and it smells amazing!
