I didn't have enough time to look through everything, but it's the kind of place where you can easily find something special. Some of the items were a bit pricey, but there were plenty of unique finds that would make great gifts. If you're visiting Nashville and need to pick up a gift, or just want to do a little shopping, this spot is well worth a stop.

This place is like if a country singer, an interior designer, and an old general store all decided to start a lifestyle brand together. It's packed with everything from candles that smell like wealth and nostalgia, to mugs that make you question your current kitchen aesthetic. There's leather, linen, and probably something made from reclaimed barn wood -- all tastefully arranged to make you wish your house looked like this. After exploring all the treasures and fighting the urge to buy things I couldn't pronounce, I did what any sensible shopper would do: I bought a book. Because clearly, I'm a minimalist at heart... just one browsing session away from becoming a home décor influencer. Final Verdict: White's Mercantile is dangerously charming -- the kind of store that makes you believe you need artisanal coasters and $40 soap.

Visited: 12/7/25 15:45 Intent to Purchase: Yes…read moreMade Purchase: No I was so eager to walk into the store and purchase several products of Commando laundry soap and Spice Spice Baby candles (which the website showed after having just left the store out of stock [at this specific location], after literally seeing a plethora of SSB candles on the shelf). My mind was changed when I began to feel like I was inconveniencing the Soap Specialists towards the end as I had to, multiple times, walk over (them never having left behind the counter until the very end) and ask my questions...after the SS went to the back to check if they had a specific scent available in the gift bundle, all that was said was "I'm sorry, we don't." and when back to her post. Personally, I would have rather the communication have been, "I'm sorry, we don't have that bundle pre-made. Would you like me to make it for you real quick?" or a response informing me why making it behind the bar wasn't an option...by that point the Q&A's became close-ended. I was disappointed by the quality of customer service and ultimately left without making a purchase.

At the time that I came to visit this location, it was on a weekday and there were three employees working and not one person greeted me. They had an amazing conversation amongst themselves which was intriguing to hear. I walked around the store smelled every single scent still not even a communication of how are you doing? Can I help you with anything? Can I explain something to you? The customer service was horrendous. I reached out to corporate because I don't know what there model is. I decided to purchase several items as gifts and I didn't receive as much as a thank you. I'm not sure what's going on at this store or location, but they need some additional support that are management even some training for the employees. I like the products however I did not like the experience. I hope that your experience is better than mine. good luck!

Kind and friendly, and they put together the best arrangements. Beautiful fresh flowers that last a surprisingly long time. Great location for me, as I live near the shop, but my parents are in Michigan and after I sent them pictures of what they sent were so impressed! I've also had every single person walk past my desk at work stop and comment on them. In need of flowers? I'd give Bloom a call. I know I will!

Multiple items that were "included", per the online description, where not included. Needless to say, my $200 "premium" arrangement arrived at my wife's business location, and we were both extremely embarrassed. Please see attached pictures. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Lastly, the manager (Emma) reached out to me via text after I had asked one of her employees to please have her call me. The resolution was to apply every excuse possible to validate their terrible service. I was also told that they would come and pick up the arrangement for a fee and charge me even more money for a new arrangement. PLEASE AVOID this business when spending your hard-earned money on something special for someone. I've been buying flowers for a very long time, and this was the worst experience I have ever had.

I recall spying out of the corner of my eye a shopping center that wasn't a mall. But, being that I shy away from shopping as a rule, it was unlikely that I would stop at a place not connected to other places so as to make any shopping I *had* to do efficient and time effective. So, no stops at the place I sorta paid attention to for [redacted] years. Is that clear? But then a time came when my reluctance to shop was paired with my refusal to be around people and my need to buy presents. You keeping up with all this? I know it's a lot. So, factors in place, I needed options. It was then that I sorta remembered this place in Green Hills that *might* have some things I could use/buy/ship and I got to searching the interwebs to make sure of it. I was in the market for fancy lotion. I knew I was in the right place because the 'lotion' was called 'moisturizer.' I really got the hint when I saw the price point. This isn't Jergens, folks. Thankfully, in addition to a picture and price point, the inventory came with copy. I could read flowery language that made me feel good about the purchase I was to make. I mean that sincerely. If you're going to drop coin on a luxury, you should know what you're getting. I felt as though I was reasonably informed enough to know what I was getting. I picked the product, ordered, paid, had it shipped, and tracked the shipping like a hawk. I was determined not to let this magic cream fall victim to a porch pirate. It arrived. It was opened. It was oohed and ahhed. It was worth the money. *I would never do that...
