I try to avoid this place in the afternoons and evenings exactly for the reason that happened tonight. The employees hate customers coming in apparently. They're snotty, they're rude, and don't care if you see it Or if you hear it. They were talking about how some customers leave reviews about them being snotty but good thing they don't have name tags then called the customers and reviewers just haters. They girl that checked me out was sitting down tagging clothes but finished before she would get up to help me. She was forcefully polite. Just not a good experience when you're shopping and giving their company money to over hear what they think about having customers. There was a londe and black headed girl tonight. Also,.the items are getting more expensive and the quality of some of the clothes is just bad. Like bumpy and dingie clothes aren't for resell . read more

If you have a lot of time and want to just walk around and look and dig through used clothing. This is the place to go. My goodness, they have literally everything you could ever possibly think of. But it is extremely packed. It's not very well separated, but it still is separated. In my opinion, a lot of the outfits that should be a dollar are around 4-5 dollars. So still a little out of my price range what i'm looking for when i'm thrift, shopping. Would not return. I did not react with any of the people who worked here. Nor did they ask me if I needed help, or if I was looking for anything in particular. They were all extremely busy working on the new inventory of donated goods. read more

Very terrible customer service. Was bringing items to sell and was unfamiliar with the process of dropping items off using totes. Was spoken to very aggressively by the woman in the store. I tried to ask questions and was talked to like I was stupid. I just left without selling the items because I was very upset. read more

My first visit here... I was excited to see what they had as well as trade in some baby clothes to get current sizes for my granddaughter. The staff was very friendly and store is loaded with inventory. Here's where they lost a 5-star rating... I brought in several outfits for exchange, many of which were never worn. All were in very good condition, freshly laundered and folded. They bought 2 out of the 30 some odd pieces I had, stating "we need to make sure items are currently trending." What!?! As I meander through the store as they were looking over my items, I saw several things that seem to be vintage or not "trending" . So I'm a bit confused as to how my items weren't eligible. I I will happily donate the items to the local ministry. However, in the future, I will question there acceptance of items that are brought in and what they have in their inventory. read more

Honestly the rudest staff I've ever experienced! The girl refused to look at the items I had driven over an hour to try to sell. She said they were too busy and I'd have to come back tomorrow. Her demeanor was very rude. Will never come back here! read more

Everytime I come, they have everything I need. All of the ladies are so nice and I never have trouble finding what I need !!

Customer service was poor during this visit. I don't go there often, so I don't know if this is an isolated incident or not. There is a section of "higher end shoes." They only put one shoe out for you to look at, and then you get the second one when you check out. We tried this with two different shoes. Each time they brought the second shoe, it was in poor condition compared to the shoe they had on display. When I decided not to get the shoes, the worker rolled her eyes and was visibly annoyed. I said I'm sorry you had to get the shoe down, but it's a little deceiving to put out a great condition shoe and then bring out the other one that had a broken strap that they tied together. I understand this is a second hand store, and so you never know what you will find, but I would not have "wasted" the employees time if I saw the second shoe out. I'm more dissappointed with the employees attitude, than the shoes. read more

I use to have good experiences with this location, but there is a younger petite light skin girl that is extremely judgmental, picky and fake nice. She needs to work at Lululemon or somewhere besides a thrift store. She's extremely dismissive, and tries to get you out the store as soon as possible. I honestly believe she needs to be given additional training. read more

I've never sold anything here but I've shopped here several times over the years for others (and now myself!) and have great experiences every time. The staff is so friendly and personable, which I really appreciate. They have great deals so it's really easy to stock up on some baby clothes for a good price. They have clothes, shoes, toys, and nursery gear for all ages of kiddos. read more

I like coming here because the prices have been reasonable (toddler boys clothes) and I've been back twice. Today I went and it smelled like their toilet had backed up. Or they were having major sewer problems. The bathrooms are not open to the public so I'm positive the staff was aware of the situation. Either way I felt like they should have closed the store until they fixed the sewer smell in the store or whatever sewer problem they are having, because it was extremely off putting. Other shoppers were commenting on the smell while I was there. I wish it felt more clean in there, so I won't be back for a while. read more

Once Upon a Child Murfreesboro. Was a must stop while in the area. Stock up on coats and jackets for fall and winter. Yellow tag clearance was half off this day. Score!!! We have this store here in Memphis. But the bargains are nothing like this one. Most items are name brand and practically new. Very gently used items are here. From toys-shoes-clothes-costumes-seasonal wear-holiday fashions-books. All about the kids...Everything Children! read more

I have a friend who is expecting and doesn't know the sex of the baby yet. During check out, I asked the cashier if she thought all the infant items I purchased were neutral. She said she did and then proceeded to let me know of the current sale, asked me if I belonged to the club and told me all that it entailed. The store is clean, super organized, fantastically priced and well staffed. It was a pleasure shopping there today and I see weekly (at least) trips in the future. read more

The people are pretty nice, they have a large selection of different brands and styles and you think you are getting good deal, until you get home. I bought a lot of my daughter's clothes here when she was first born. I thought used clothes would be a better price and being able to sell back my semi used clothes would be great. BUT even unworn, tags still on clothes for next season (that they were currectly buying) they would not buy my clothes, or if they did they gave me so little for it that it wasn't worth the hassle of driving there. And then everytime I would get home with the "deals" I had bought, half of them would be stained, ripped or faded that I didn't notice in the store. Plus when it comes to their prices i have found, I can go to walmart, target, jcp, or even old navy and pay the same prices I would their for used clothes. read more

I'm within driving distance of 3 locations (including Antioch and Franklin), and the Murfreesboro one is by far my favorite! They honestly have the best selection of clothes and shoes, and that's hard to find for 3 and 6 yr old boys! I tell all my mom friends to go there. I also really love their large selection of toys. Great for Christmas or birthday shopping to save money! read more

This was my first time going to once upon a child. Overall the staff was friendly but the first time I went they were not taking any items. The 2nd time I went I felt like I was signing for a loan because they ask for your drivers license and have you sign these documents. Why??? I finally got to drop off the items and then had to wait 24 hours and pick them up. Picked the items up and honestly for the money they proposed and the time and effort it was simply a waste of time. Used to shop at Once Upon A Child in Fl and was pleasantly surprised to find one here in Murfreesboro. I frequent the store regularily as I have 5 grandchildren in FL and I help my daughter out as much as I can. The staff has always been friendly and always willing to help me reach something or answer a question. I am so glad they are here and when my daughter was visiting last summer, I took her there and she commented on how helpful and friendly everyone was which is not always the case at some of the locations in FL. read more

I love love this place! My oldest child is 9 years old and I have been going here since she was a baby. The employees are always friendly and go out of their way to help you. I will continue to be loyal here. They do buy more than any other consignment around. It is always organized and easy for me to find what I want in there. This is the worst Once upon a child I've ever been to. Most of the staff is very rude. You drop your items off and it takes forever for them to check them. Plus they donot want to give you hardly anything for your items. The sign hanging up that clearly says cash on the spot is very misleading. I mean who wants a check for their items?!?!? Noone! I really hope these new stores like Kid to Kid and Children's Orchard puts this place out of business! read more

Raced to get there at 4pm a whole hour before they closed so I wouldn't have to do it another day and the girl at the desk said there was only 1 person infront of me and said I had to come back tomorrow!!! Called before I even went to make sure I could get it done and even said I would wait the whole hour but all she said was "sorry". They didn't seem busy and did it before like this on another day in the past and yet she still refused!!! I had one tote! I'm sure you deal with busy mothers ALL THE TIME and should be more considerate of that! read more

6 years ago I spent several hundred dollars here on my daughters nursery. I'm sorry I did. In the last year they have gone beyond picky to snotty and incompetent. I have bought in a kangaroo bike carrier with documents ( we can't take that cause we can't be sure it has everything). Staff apparently is incapable of reading the manual and comparing it to what they are given. An Osh Kosh "Johnny jump up" that I was told had "staining" and to clean it up and bring it back....it had storage dust on it that brushed off at the car when I examined it. And the final one a leap frog leapster explorer (complete with rechargeable battery pack, station, pink carry case and original battery door) that they wouldn't even look at. "We've had bad luck with these getting broken before they are sold". WHAT!?! They have a glass case up front....so either they are incompetent or their everyday clientele is trash. Either way none of my money will ever cross their door again. So Snotty that they turn their noses up at gently used upscale items, in a world of second hand resale, doesn't cut it read more
