We talked for a few minutes and there was always a warm and inviting smile from her. The service was great both times I came and I ended up purchasing some nice things. On the inside you will find several different kinds of items to by. Most of them are geared towards children such as dolls, clothing, jewelry, and books. Everything feels natural inside with the presence of pastels and earth tones that present themselves gently to the eyes. You won't find cheap brightly colored plastic toys or items here. There is also a children's arts and craft area in the back and today they just so happen to be having some kind of puppet workshop which I found delightful. I think you will be thoroughly satisfied if you check out this boutique!

This seems like the kind of shop set up by young mothers who wanted to set up a community gathering place for fellow families. There's even a back room for birthdays, classes, and other events. The front has a nice selection of books, toys, and other fun stuff. We ended up purchasing some postcards (for coloring) for our grand girls. As a bonus the nice woman at the front gave us a good music recommendation (Robert's Western World on Broadway) and a mention of the impressionist exhibit at the Frist Art Museum. That's after both her and Gayle finished talking about dogs.

The Store That Sells Everything You Didn't Know You Wanted…read more I was wandering down what I think is called 12th Street in Nashville -- that trendy stretch where even the sidewalks feel cooler than me -- and I stumbled into White's Mercantile. This place is like if a country singer, an interior designer, and an old general store all decided to start a lifestyle brand together. It's packed with everything from candles that smell like wealth and nostalgia, to mugs that make you question your current kitchen aesthetic. There's leather, linen, and probably something made from reclaimed barn wood -- all tastefully arranged to make you wish your house looked like this. After exploring all the treasures and fighting the urge to buy things I couldn't pronounce, I did what any sensible shopper would do: I bought a book. Because clearly, I'm a minimalist at heart... just one browsing session away from becoming a home décor influencer. Final Verdict: White's Mercantile is dangerously charming -- the kind of store that makes you believe you need artisanal coasters and $40 soap.

They have everything! I will say they have a ton of great gift ideas for that person that is really difficult to buy for. Amazing shop to definitely check out if you're in the area.
