I ordered a flower delivery and received literally some of the rudest customer service I have ever…read morereceived. We had a misunderstanding with the delivery address. Rather than call myself for clarification or the person who the delivery was for, she called to berate me. She was not interested in trying to find out where the misunderstanding was or try and get the delivery to the correct person. She told me that the person who wrongly received the delivery was bringing the flowers to HER. Then she rudely told me they would be at their store in the cooler waiting for the intended recipient to come pick them up. (You know, the person who just had a baby. Unbelievable.) Something is seriously wrong with this business owner and I will tell everyone I know who NOT to use on the island.

It was a blustery Saturday, so we popped by to check out their early spring offerings and were pleasantly surprised. The outside area was sparse, as is to be expected this time of year. Although, they were starting to get some herb and veggie starts accumulated (and I anticipate will be adding more as the weather gets warmer). Inside, I was more than pleasantly surprised to find they have a beautiful gift shop full of all sorts of wonderful, garden-adjacent things. Including an adorable selection of interesting pots, as well as lots of gorgeous indoor plants. They also had greeting cards, garden tools, knick knacks, and bric-a-brac. The lady who runs the place was amazingly friendly, too! She even introduced us to their resident cat, who was very friendly. (They actually have two cats, but one is older and not as outgoing.) Can't wait to stop back by here when gardening season is in full swing!

I love that. I love that they're raising baby chicks inside. *The exceptionally kind owners. They're always so calm, so kind, so friendly, so helpful, smiling all the time even though I know dealing with the public has to drive them batty at times. *The nursery feels like going to a friend's house. It's cozy and welcoming without the super sanitized commercial feeling of a lot of nurseries. *They're small but they have a nice variety. *They have some unusual things, too. I needed a lilac, not a tall big double bloom huge lilac like most people want. I needed a dwarf lilac and they had one. Perfect! *The location is great. The peony not so cheap and smaller but healthy and at the end of season a real find! And he did me a great deal on the first indoor plant. It's a great place to recycle yard waste type materials, get small or large quantities of gravel, stone and soil products, and a great nursery! I notice that the staff here is really friendly, helpful, and engaging with everyone here and not the no nos and problems with other topsoil and recycle places on the island. I was impressed by the variety of rooms/themes this place holds - perhaps my favorite was the bright (and warm!) cactus room which was refreshingly well-lit during these grey winter months. They also had a delightful glass mushroom display as well. I purchased a Christmas cactus and pot for a holiday gift, and the lady at the counter thoughtfully potted it for me and topped up the soil. I also tried the seasonal eggnog latte at the food truck parked outside, which was flavorful and really hit the spot. I would encourage anyone looking for any sort of garden item to visit this store - be prepared to spend some time here browsing!
